In the high stress Singapore environment, learn how parents can spot suicidal tendencies and save their children.

Losing a child to suicide is one of the worst experiences a parent can go through. Is there a way we can protect our children from such thoughts, and get them the help they need? There is quite a bit of information found online on how to spot a suicidal person and what you can do to help, but that’s provided you are lucky enough to notice the warning signs and be in a position of trust to the person with suicidal thoughts. For parents, these signs may not be so apparent as we see our children every day. This means that changes that are obvious to others, may not be obvious to us. When I was growing up, I knew a few peers who wanted to take their lives (including myself), and a couple who eventually did. These are some common signs that suicidal people exhibit, which in isolation may not mean the person is suicidal, but in totality may make him or her more prone to suicide ...
