Hana Tajima-Simpson of Style Covered is an up-and-coming UK designer of Maysaa but that isn’t what caught our eyes; as one of the few fashion bloggers sporting the hijab (head cover, scarf), Hana stands out in terms of personal style and creativity. Being of mix parentage (she’s half Japanese and half English), Hana has the advantage of two different cultures – the demureness of the east and mindset to step out of the box from her part western upbringing. She is also unafraid to infuse her personal style and her religious views together (Hana converted into Islam about four years ago and have had a minor style change). Hana started blogging over a year ago; using it to express the different possibilities of styling oneself despite living far away from countries where beautiful and religious-appropriate clothes could be found in abundance.
