Good observation. I would like to add another point. In the past, there were many walkovers and as a result, PAP does not have the feel of the ground this time. For example, in Toa Payoh where I stay, there hasn't been voting for more than 20 years, so these 20+ years, people come people go, plus the fact that their RCs are also not really connected to the ground. I sense a bit of panic here (amber alert only, not red) looking at the campaigning (2 Ministers in last-minute walkabouts, brochures put at my doorstep late at night) and considering their opponent is the supposedly "weak and frail" Chiam See Tong, I can't help sense their lack of ideas of what to do. Based on campaigning, this time PAP is even worse than some of the opposition parties. No focus, no catch-phrase like WP's. Worse still, some of their inadequacies are shown up badly and obviously (e.g. Tin Pei Ling...
