SAF combat medics help casualties after school van crashes along Mandai Ave

A school van transporting four students crashed into a lamp post on Wednesday April 25, around 6.40am, along Mandai Avenue. Fortunately, a troop of combat medics from the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) came across the scene of the accident to help out the injured casualties. Advertisement Servicemen from the Combat Medic Specialist Course of the SAF Medical Training Institute (SMTI) came across the wreckage on their way to an outfield exercise. Among the injured were the van driver and four crying children by the side of the road.
