On May 13, 2017, six months pregnant Goh Chieh Ting went for breakfast with her mother-in-law in Jurong West. They were about to cross the road to visit the market when Goh was hit by a lorry. She was rushed to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. Doctors, however, were able to extract her premature baby from her. Eight months on, baby Yunice is now five months old, with her age corrected for prematurity.
