Like that all those people who have been working for eons in the same organisation and getting increment every year should get a pay cut to match that of fresh hires doing the same job. I know you want to criticise or SMRT for not paying the PRC contract drivers the same as Singaporean drivers but this is classic example where qualifications greatly different. And PRC drivers still have to go for English classes and required more training. Do you know it is like a dream come true. If I have to hire someone and spend time and energy giving training and English classes, why should I pay them the same as someone who is already fluent in that area? And I am sure SMRT is not the only organisation in the world who do not pay all employees equally. Imagine, a good performer is paid the same as a poor performer for the same work, is it fair from the good performer's perspective? I...
