In photography, there are photographers and then there are photographers. Luke Massey , a 25-year-old Briton who does wildlife photography, was in Singapore recently to shoot our country’s famed otters. A five-minute video posted on Facebook on March 18 showed the lengths Massey had to go to just to get in shots of the furry ones at Marina Bay and Kallang: This involves having to crouch and prone in one and/ or highly uncomfortable positions for hours at a time — with his bladder full — just to win the trust of the animals and getting shots in that no one else has. And it isn’t just about getting the right angle. This tedious process is to acquaint the photographer with the animals so that they continue to behave like how they would in the wild, while eventually disregarding the photographer’s presence. And his efforts paid off as he got some amazing shots of the otters up...
