Just for a moment put yourself into the shoes of SMRT, what would you do? To be honest, the LAZIEST solution is to just pay them as much as they want, like what the netizens wanted. Like it or not, everyone has a market price as in how much salary you can command based on your qualifications and experience. If these PRC workers think their qualification and experience and command of language and knowledge of Singapore roads deserve higher pay, then they can just go find another job that pays them better to prove to us their market value is higher.
