I was watching the epic Olympics Men's badminton final between China's Lin Dan and Malaysia's Datuk Lee Chong Wei at my mother's place when Faith quietly snuggled up next to me. I don't think it was because she was into badminton (then again, maybe she was, who knows?) so I assumed she just enjoyed my company. Even though my firstborn has no speech, I found myself explaining the game to my autistic daughter anyway, in between the nail-biting moments. Someone said the 5th of May was Malaysia's National Heart Attack Day. I think it was so for Singapore too. I was a nervous wreck just watching the final. The mental strength of both players must have been tremendous. Datuk Lee Chong Wei, you won our hearts with your tenacious and skillful play. Thumbs way up, Malaysia!
