As Fendi re-launched its flagship in KLCC last week, Baguettemania officially hit Malaysia. Launched in 1997, the deceptively small (it’s in fact spacious) and simple (making it a great canvas for creativity across designing fields) bag transformed boho-scruffy sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw into the toast of New York fashion, and has since been produced in over a thousand versions. To celebrate its enduring style icon, Fendi kicked off a travelling exhibition to curate 15 years of design and artisanship from the Baguette archives, alongside six limited re-editions and a book.
