but unfortunately due to the maximum speed of USB2, it is not possible to have a Gigabit connectivity. But with Thunderbolt, the maximum data speed can goes up to 20Gbps which is 20 times more than a Giagabit Ethernet connection. You might not feel the difference when surfing the Internet, but when it comes to transferring large files within a gigabit network, you can really feel the slowest of a 100Mbps connection vs a 1Gbps connection.
