The Rand Club

{New Blog Post} The Rand Club: A night in a beautiful old colonial club house..

The Rand Club was founded in 1887. It’s an old colonial style building in what’s deemed as one of the more dangerous areas in the city at night. It was the first time we were going into Downtown Joburg at night (I can hear my expat friends gasping), and we didn’t know what to expect from the club at all. So I left my DSLR at home and brought a small compact camera. Which did not do so well when the place was pitch dark outside the building.
