Bandung: Tangkuban Perahu and Ciater We chartered a Golden Bird car and our driver, Island (pronounced Is-Lan, I later found out), drove us to Tangkuban Perahu, a dormant volcano, about 2 hours away from the city. There were little shops selling assorted crafts and toy ninjas, as well as eggs cooked in the cooked on the hot surface of the crater. Mom brought some toys to give away to the folks there and she was swarmed for a while. I think the baby got the He-man. Another young man got a vintage space sheriff ranger toy I can't remember the name of, and an sweet old man got a Star Wars Jedi for his kid. Our next stop was the village of Ciater, at the hot springs of Sari Ater Hotel & Resort. It is kind of cheesy but kids seem to like it. You can swim or dip your feet in the hot springs for therapy.
