New blog post: Public Service Announcement: Change your LinkedIn password now

A user on a Russian forum claimed to have hacked into LinkedIn. The user uploaded a total of 6,458,020 hashed passwords without any usernames. We don’t know if the list is real but some users claimed that they found their password in the list. Although LinkedIn stored all the user password in encryption, it is not impossible to crack. We also don’t know if the person managed to get other data like the userid. LinkedIn said on their Twitter that the company is currently investigating. In the meantime, it would be good for everyone to change your LinkedIn password. And if you reuse your password on your email or other social media accounts, it would also be good to change them now.
