Succinct response to Haren's shallow glorification of Singapore:

Now, the ruling PAP government is putting tremendous strain on the social fabric by bringing in too many foreigners at once, in an attempt at shoring up the population and maintaining asset prices. Low end wages are being artificially suppressed without the safeguard of a minimum wage, and lower to middle class workers are being displaced in the name of “globalization”. There is little safety net for those who fall through the cracks. There is little to no tolerance for failure or the unwillingness to conform. And Mr Haren calls Singapore the best place to be creative.
