Our roving bag expert @bagaddictsanon picks out her choice of evening clutches to skimp and splurge on

Welcome to Splurge or Steal, a new monthly segment where I’ll be picking out two similar bags that sport the same trend at two very different price points. For this very first edition of Splurge or Steal, I’ve picked neon minaudières (bag-speak for evening hard-cased clutches) to add splashes of colour to your outfits, especially your LBDs or what I call LCDs (Little cocktail dresses). For April, my Steal is by Brazilian label Serpui Marie . Although she also creates handbags for day use, Marie is known mostly for her evening minaudières. Her designs have been featured in Vogue , In Style and Elle magazines (amongst others) and is a favourite for fashion stylists abroad. Marie’s label is one of those slightly under-the-radar brands that are affordable, yet fashion forward. The Marrakesh Minaudière comes with a long chain strap so you can sling it on to dance the night away...
