Its wide-body and double deck means the four airlines now using it can play with space. First-class passengers can enjoy spa showers, private suites with flatbeds and even a cocktail bar. On June 3, Airbus executives went on a different tack. In a span of five hours, they attempted to convince a visiting Indonesian delegation – comprising officials from the government and state-owned Garuda Airlines – of the A380’s versatility as a mass transportation carrier.
