This could be some kind of a record. Never before has so much been said about a man who has said so little. Mr Chen Show Mao, 50, a possible Workers’ Party new face, blew into town last Saturday and has taken the opposition scene by storm - all without saying a word. Opposition party members and residents - and yes, the media, we confess - were talking about the mystery man in the past week: Who is he? What is he like? Will he really be fielded? Why did he join the opposition? It is said that Mr Chen has been in the Workers’ Party since last year but has kept a low profile.
