This video is going viral at the moment. A year ago, if I had watched something like this, I would have said to myself, Aaww, that’s terrible. and maybe stop the video halfway, go away and tell the hubby something interesting I saw online and then go to sleep and forget about it the next day. I wouldn’t have teared a little like I just did. And start preparing a blog post on it to share like I’m doing now. Perhaps it’s because more than a year since I’ve stepped on to African soil, such faces are no longer distant. Seeing images of these sweet faces reminds me of the hundreds.. thousands of kids I’ve met and interacted with in the past year. They are not just a visual on a video or poster anymore.
