PERFECT BRUNCH

Early Friday morning breakfast of macarons I had made in class the day before. The class was taught in Japanese and the teacher was talking extra fast because it was a group class with 3 other Japanese ladies. Fortunately, I could understand her in general by picking out familiar words and some hand actions. Plus I’ve done macarons before on my own, so it was just a matter of just doing what I know. I had alot of questions answered and a lot of faults corrected, so I was pleased. She explained certain methods and how to correct common mistakes which I had been wanting to know for the longest time. I think my macarons came out okay. The tops weren’t too smooth cause the almond powder probably wasn’t sifted enough and the batter a little stiff. However with mistakes like that, you learn from it and improve.
