38 year-old Soh Chin Chai finished a six-month jail sentence on April 2014 for entering a sham marriage. The Straits Times published a story yesterday (26 Jun) detailing how Soh was paid $2,700 to marry Vietnamese national Dang Thi Hoang. Dang had wanted to secure a job in Singapore and paid $7,500 to several middlemen for the arrangement. The report included mugshots of Soh and Dang. Soh’s employer, Jabez Tan, took issue with the report. According to him, the report “seems not to have a(sic) follow up information about Chin Chai’s LIFE STORY n(sic) brought up his past criminal case today after six months when the case was over.
