To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Fall of Singapore, a new series of walking trails titled ‘Resilience Trails’ will be launched. These are thematic walking trails designed to nurture a strong sense of social resilience among Singaporeans. The trails will both challenge the limit of your physical endurance and aim to fortify participants with a positive can-do spirit through stories of Singapore’s experiences in the Second World War and other major events that have shaped our nation. The unique features of this walk include: A test of physical and mental endurance – walking the entire trail in the face of harsh elements An occasion for character building, bonding and fostering teamwork among peers Encourages an understanding and appreciation of Singapore’s rich and colourful history Utilises introspection and reflection as major learning tools Enables students to w...
