SURVEY Results: How Do People View Home Networking?

More than half of the respondents rated their wireless connection at home as less than good Majority of the users have a connection speed of more than 10Mbps – making Singapore the sixth top nation worldwide in terms of average connection speed. At least four users connected to their home network in 40% of the households surveyed 52% of the respondents connect at least five devices to their home network 65% use the default router supplied by their service provider while only 35% purchased their own router 70% of respondents consider the reliability and quality of their wireless connection as most important when selecting a wireless router for the home network Only 11% view value-for-money as the most important factor when selecting a wireless router for the home network
