Excellent article. Makes you wonder about the integrity of the person who was intentionally re-painting the findings in order to satisfy some superior, rather than fulfilling the greater duty of presenting factual interpretations that would help his or her country by informing future policy. This pervasive culture of unedifying selfishness and moral cowardice that is actively promoted by the short-sighted powers that be is why I’m sure Singapore as a nation will not last another 30 years. I give it 15 years before drastic decline happens. 25 years before reunification talks begin on unfavourable terms. This may happen because our country has not taken the steps to achieve sustainable “growth” without population increases that we simply cannot absorb indefinitely.
