Before we moved to South Africa, I never really knew what and where Swaziland was. I’ve heard of it but I knew nothing about this small African country. While in South Africa, I read about the Swazi King in the papers and found out that he has 14 wives and 23 children. His father had 70 wives, 210 children and over 1000 grand children! Trivial bits of information but it did catch my attention. Haha.. When I met my friend, Stanley who’s a Swazi, he explained the kingdom rule of Swaziland to me and it got me very intrigued. It wasn’t that different from the Chinese dynasties, where the country was ruled by emperors. Except that this was the same kind of culture in a modern world. How would it survive?
