A few months ago, I sold my Panasonic Lumix LX-3 to a friend. It had been my very first semi-professional camera and for camera that served in-between my Canon EOS DSLR and my mobile phone, it was perfect. It was light, easy to use and the picture quality was fantastic. But being the geek that I am, I just felt like I needed a little bit more complication in its simplicity, and for yonks I contemplated an upgrade. But to what? I hadn’t decided. I’d heard lots about the Sony Nex 5 from friends and websites, but it was only when I came face to face with Saffry’s beloved gadget one weekend, when I knew I really, really wanted a Nex.
