I agree with what yeng siang said.. Me too.. I used to eat at their Tiong Poh stall when that was their one and only stall where the 'old man' used to be around and chit-chat with their customers. Then, there was a management change and the coffee shop went through a major renovation some time back... then the china coffee lady assistant started a traditional nonya laksa stall there after the coffee maker took her in as his co-partner. When her laksa started off, I gave her feedback on the right mix of coconut milk and carnation milk and she finally succeeded. But after that, the laksa stall moved out and only the nonya kueh stall remained. It was at this time, they opened their 1st new branch in Geylang. At that time, if I remembered correctly, they were still using charcoal to cook the final porridge heating stage but use gas for the initial stage of quick cooking or was...
