I was made aware of this hard-hitting campaign by McCann Erickson Singapore for People for Ethnical Treatment of Animals (PETA) last week, in a personal email written by the executive creative director (ECD) of the agency, Farrokh Madon . Being an animal lover myself, his email struck a chord with me. When ¾ of the pitches I receive from agencies about their latest campaigns come from disgruntled suits writing on behalf of their award-winning egoistic ECDs, it is refreshing to receive an email from Farrokh himself. For those who aren’t in the Ad industry, Farrokh is instrumental to the growth of Singapore’s creative standards for over the past decade and beyond. Not that his accolades matter as much as his humility, but Farrokh is so well-decorated, he should consider setting up a prosthetic leg business using his awards as raw materials.
