On Feb. 19, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers detected close to 70,000 cans of duty-unpaid beer at Pasir Panjang Scanning Station. The beer was declared as fruit punch. As dutiable goods include intoxicating liquor, the duty and Goods and Services Tax of the beer amounted to S$86,580 and S$20,140 respectively.
