If you haven’t already heard, only Halimah Yacob has been issued the Certificate of Eligibility to be nominated as a candidate for the Presidential Election. Depending on where you stand, some of you might be happy, frustrated, or disappointed at this piece of news. If you are in need of a distraction, we have put together some pictures of Ong Teng Cheong, winner of the first Presidential Election in 1993 via a contest, in his prime. Ong Teng Cheong served as Singapore’s President from 1993 to 1999, and many of his contributions are well-known. However, not many are aware that he was an incredibly photogenic young man when he was in his twenties.
