Tailored menswear is getting a real push at Pavilion’s recently opened Fashion Avenue. While Ben Sherman and Fred Perry hold the fort for preppy, subculture-doused fashion, Bread & Butter, Armani Jeans and Ralph Lauren Denim & Supply are overflowing with denim and accompanying shirts and jackets. And as the London heritage company, Hackett has plenty of offerings for the sartorially inclined guy, women have not had the option of made-to-measure at the mall’s newest wing, until now. The recently launched Sacoor Brothers store, the biggest in Asia, is a vision of luxury. Stacks upon stacks of shirts fill the racks, mannequins don plush winter knits and jackets, and a grand table in the center of the room displays a staggering selection of ties and a jar of signature knot lapel pins alongside their best suits.
