Dried Illegal Abalone Bound For Singapore Seized In Cape Town

Johannesburg - Two tons of dried perlemoen were confiscated in Cape Town, the department of agriculture, forestry and fisheries said on Monday. The abalone was confiscated during a joint operation between the department, the Hawks and the SA Revenue Service. "During this operation a container was returned to Cape Town on the July 3, as per a detention order, from a ship that was on its way to Singapore."
