What a mention-worthy day.Didi passed his Basic Theory Test and is now a provisional driver!As for me leh..I finally can swallow two Panadols togetherly (Panadol being the epitome of chokeable pills on my scale, because they are big fat and round).I think my (old) cousins who are reading this will be sniggering their asses off by now.When I was young, making me take medicine syrup and/or swallowing the smallest pill is like telling me I am going to die.My maid or Mops, armed with a big ice-cream tub with layers of plastic bags over it, would be standing by, while I would be howling for my Ah Ma to "look at me swallow the medicine". Ah Ma would lumber over while scolding me useless, and soon lumber off again because I would, by then, be throwing up like a mad cow.It was so bad, that I would take a jab anyday anywhere, rather than take the bloody pills. When I was hospitalised in 2001, the nurse asked me whether I want to be put on a drip or take medicine. I semi-consciously mumbled "the drip". In the end I was on 8 packs of drip over the stay, and I never took the pills they gave me, flushing them down the loo.Gradually over the years, I progressed slowly, but surely, and soon (when I was like, 18?) I was able to take those pink little Malaria pills, one at a time.When I removed my wisdom teeth (two at a time), I was damn kia see and I didn't dare risk the inflammation, so I had to get my dad or Didi crush the panadol into powdery form and *shamed* add rose syrup (the red thingy you get from bandung) and drink it. It was like that for various occasions. Stop laughing.Thankfully I was never one to be sick all the time. I was a big strong cow! But dunno why recently very susceptible to silly things like flu.Then the big break came when I started taking Reductil, when I had to take those carbon capsules twice a day, four at a time.Desperate situations call for desperate measures.Want to lose weight right? Swallow lor.Choke die also at least die skinny(ier).Now, I am proud to announce, that I am able to swallow two bigass Panadols at the same time, together with a little flu tablet!REJOICE!!!Even Mops truly sounded 欣慰, when she told me over MSN just now:Mops says:qi ji ah qi jiMops says:hahahaMops says:ni zhen de zhang da le我真的长大了!
