Tea for two, after schooli am happy 'cause you're too.I kind of knew how the date with Jacq would turn out like. Her, pouring out her emotions to me and just me listening. Sometimes it doesn't matter that solutions offered do not work, or that we do not have a solution for the person's problem at all. For women, sometimes talking about it works just as well - reducing stress and unhappiness. So I just listened. Said a little but it was good enough to be the affirmative voice for her own thoughts. It was after our practical class and we just wanted to go somewhere to celebrate that the whole craziness of assignments was over. I was craving for a nice fruit tart since last week so she brought me to this place in the city where they served awesome cakes. We had cakes and tea instead of having a proper meal, but the place was so nice and cosy we stayed on a little more than we intended, talking about everything under the sun. Thanks to her recommendation, I auditioned at a restaurant at Southbank to be a lounge pianist and got the job as well. Never thought I could pull that off but I did. I remember telling Pat before I came over, that I want to perform in gigs or in public while I'm in Brisbane because over here nobody would judge me, or anyone familiar would bump into me. I'm glad this job landed on my lap, but I will be doing sporadic gigs for now..till things get finalised later on. However I wish people back in SG would be more receptive to the news though. Maybe they have forgotten about me and perhaps I shouldn't hold on too much as well. In any case, I must move on, and not let my doubts hold me back.
