embarrassing moment at the supermarket Saturdays are mostly reserved for me and my dad. We try to do things together, mainly grocery shopping at a japanese supermarket at liang court. My dad is a very busy person, with his business trips and conference calls. So the only time we get to spend time together is when he's in singapore, which is pretty rare.Today, as we were browsing the shelves, i noticed this young father and his little daughter doing grocery shopping together and later, sharing a yummy-looking crepe at a cafe. I love looking at fathers spending quality time with their children, because i myself can relate to those children who never get to see their dads often.Which reminds me of how excited i would get when my dad and i would go shopping when i was much smaller. I remember this particularly embarrassing moment when i was around seven at the old sogo supermarket. My main task at the supermarket was to get my favourite yakult drinks and place them in our trolley. As usual, i dashed to the juice department, happily grabbed the yakult drink pack, dashed back to our trolley and plonked the drink pack into it. Then i hugged my dad's arm and proudly boasted that i had gotten the yakult drinks all by myself.Happily tugging on my dad's arm, i felt this presence in front of me and i looked up to find myself face to face with this bigger, older girl. I was wondering why she was glaring at me, and i wanted to ask my dad why this girl looked so angry.I looked up and had the shock of my life. It wasn't my dad. I had been hugging a stranger's arm!And the stranger was grinning.I turned back and found my REAL dad standing at one corner laughing to himself. What's worse, the stranger was that girl's father! No wonder she was staring daggers at me.I almost died of embarrassment that day.Now i make sure i don't go hugging people in a random manner. making friends Over lunch, min sun was telling me about the new korean exchange students who have just moved into her hall. And what do you know, one of them was buying lunch near to where we were eating. So i nudged my dear friend to make a small chat with him. The girl just refused and carried on eating.I was like, "Come on la! He's a fellow countryman. It won't kill you to approach him."Looking at her relucant expression, i added, "Hey i made new japanese friends in nus by approaching them, like kyohei."Min sun's reply was, "That's called being desperate."WHAT???? mad rush I was running late for my first class for the day.Texting min sun that i'll be late, i told her to save a seat for me.I arrived in the lecture hall 5 minutes late. My eyes frantically roamed the entire hall in search of min sun, but there were too many people. So i took the nearest seat and plopped down, staring blankly at the screen. I guess i was too tired to even reach out for my notes. What i heard was the monotonous drone of the lecturer about amino acids and their functions. It took me 5 minutes to realise that i'm attending a class on immunology, not amino acids.I got into the wrong lecture hall.I need to start reading the nus map. I'm exhausted from getting to the wrong places for my classes. mad about csi ny During the recent summer break, my play buddies were the tv and the couch in front of it at home.Being more of an indoor person, my definition of relaxation is to curl up on a comfy couch with a book in hand, or a tv at proximity.CSI: NY hits the top under "My favourite TV shows" list, and yeah i have been faithfully following every episode of this spin-off's fourth season. This show, as most of us are familiar with, is about a bunch of crime scene investigators who rely solely on the concrete evidences that they have to crack tough cases. What's very intriguing to me is that i find it easy to relate to the procedures on how they analyse their evidences eg DNA fingerprinting, mass spectroscopy etc. And it amazes me how they can deduce the possible scenarios from the evidences. For example, when a victim was found to suffer from lyme disease due to the bacteria found by the csi team on the victim's skin, it was deduced that the victim might have gone deer hunting. Lyme disease is caused by a pathogen called Borrelia burgdorferi which infects the deer via deer tick bites.Interesting.Not to mention, the cast is a pretty good-looking lot. money money money My paycheck from jac has finally arrived!!!I don't need to starve myself anymore. Yay~ back to skool~ It felt so good to be back in school.A 3 months' break is simply too long. The feeling of bumping into old friends and having a small chat along the corridors leaves me smiling. But i don't miss the food at the canteen terribly. I had sichuan food at the arts canteen, simply because it had the shortest queue. And the beef noodle i ordered was too spicy for my liking.Anyway, in case you're interested in knowing what modules i'm taking this semester, here are they:~ LSM3211 Fundamental Pharmacology~LSM3223 Immunology~LSM3232 Microbiology~GEK1006 Dynamics of Interpersonal Effectiveness~SC2215 Sociology of Food school school school School starts tomorrow.I'm excited but also doubtful at the same time. Will i be able to cope with level 3000 modules? But i'm looking forward to seeing familiar faces at school tomorrow.I miss my friends >.< cold fish A few hours ago, someone close to me commented that i was as cold as a fish. No, she didn't mean that my body felt cold. She meant that i was a cold person. At that point of time, i felt utterly insulted because i never thought of myself in that way. However, after a moment of self reflection, i have come to a realization that she was probably right. You see, i rarely have expectations in people around me. Knowing that there are definitely people who will not fulfil to what they had promised, i have convinced myself that there is no need to carry high hopes and suffer a great fall especially when these people are those closest to your heart. Why climb the ladder higher one rung, when you know that you will break your leg if you fall from such a great height? So when things don't turn out the way i thought it would be, i don't get the full blow. This applies for everything in my life: friends, family, relationships.I guess the main reason lies in the past experiences of disappointment and betrayal from loved ones that i had gone through. In fact, i think i have changed a lot during these past 6-8 years. I had not been like this from the very beginning. If you rewind 6-8 years back, you would have known me as someone who's very optimistic, spontaneous and possibly impulsive. But right now, i view everything in a cold, calculated manner. But behind this barrier that i build between me and the rest of the world, i need to assert that i'm not a heartless person. I try my best to help my friends and family the best i can, but i don't expect anything in return. I don't expect people to be grateful and go all out to help me as much as i did for them. Besides, you don't help people for the sake of benefitting from it. That's not the true spirit of helping people. If you need my help, i'll try whatever i can. But if you don't, i'm not going to bother you. Maybe that's why i come across as an aloof person to those who don't know me well.A few hours ago, i was very upset when i was called a cold person. But now, i've thought it through and discovered some truth in it. le treebird affair Girls, have you ever wondered where to get the perfect girls' accessories, after being tired of going round and round in circles at local accessories shops such as Diva? I do. In fact, i rarely find anything that i really really like at accessories shops here.So when i chanced upon this accessories webstore, the first thought that came to my mind was: I must introduce this to the girls! So here it is, le treebird. It is managed by our dear friend Wai Lin, and i must say i couldn't peel my eyes off the screen for a second, because the accessories are simply pretty and affordable.Le Treebird offers a diverse range of accessories of all styles - girly, cute, delicious-looking (you'll know what i mean later) etc. These are some of the few items i picked:Item name: ParisItem name: Mini Dressing TableItem Name: For SophieItem Name: Rock My PonyI simply love the simple but pretty details of every piece>.besotted with these.Item Name: Assortment of LoveThey even have my favourite tempura in the form of a miniature handphone strap!Item Name: Sushi and Prawn SetYou can find plentiful of other exciting designs on le treebird's official website.http://letreebird.blogspot.comAlternatively, you can scroll down my homepage and click onto the le treebird banner=) public holiday equals to no holiday Happy birthday Singapore!!!Today marks the 43rd birthday of our lovely country.Which is naturally, a public holiday for all singaporeans to celebrate for their nation.Which also means a day for lazy bums like me to snuggle under my covers throughout the whole day.Sadly, the day wasn't like what i expected it to be.My mom came in and started ranting on how long we had not done spring cleaning, and she wanted me to start cleaning up my room pronto.Well, my room is now spick and span after 6 hours of pulling out drawers and collecting unwanted clothes and books to be sent to the rubbish bin..etc.I even found old photos of myself stashed under a pile of magazines. And boy, am i glad that i had managed to shed a few pounds during these recent years. Because i looked like a mini-cow in those old photos.Right now, I'm exhausted. temptation My mom tempted me with this thing today. The LV Galliera PMI am in a turmoil.I mean, which girl can resist getting a LV bag as a present? On the other hand, the thought of my mom splurging on such an expensive birthday gift makes me feel terribly guilty.Aargh. yuka the guru to nus modules Those who have talked to me on msn, you are probably trying to figure out whether to block me on msn. Because i have been moaning on and on about how cors sucks and why my life is so pathetic and sad when it comes to CORS bidding. For those who have gotten all the modules you wanted (Plan A), congratulations. However, for those who found out that your Plan A has backfired due to possible reasons like: the bidding points are too high; the vacancy for this particular round is too low; or i just realised the lecture clashes with my other module's lab session (darn!), you probably might want to start thinking about Plan B.In order to start on Plan B (i've already started on it), you might want to consider other modules if things don't turn out the way you wanted. So i will hence forth, update my guide to the modules i have taken for the past 2 years in nus.Year 2:1) SC1101E (Making Sense of Society)This module was recommended to me by chillycraps. You might want to read his guide here. And boy, must i say i loved this module. Although the lecture content can be dry at times, the lecturers manage to liven up the lessons by cracking lame jokes to make up for it. The workload consists of a take-home assignment (of course an essay), a midterm (essay again), and a final exam (you'll become an expert in essay writing by the time you reach here). What i didn't really enjoy about this module is probably the tutorials. I didn't like having to think of essay-length responses to the tutorial questions before coming to classes. But all in all, it was a very manageable module and inspiring enough for me to want to take another soci module. So if you don't mind the essay writing part, try this module=)My rating: ★★★★☆2) JS2213 (Popular Culture in Contemporary Japan)What i loved about this module was the themes covered during lectures which range from otaku culture to the obsession of bishounen (i.e.pretty young boys). For those johnny junior fans, you might want to take this module or even pop by for this guest lecture that covers entirely on the johnny entertainment and how it contributed in grafting today's japanese modern culture. Lots of johnny photos for you guys to drool on.Workload wise, there's a term project (just like any other js modules) and a final exam with 3 essays. Although the final exam is an open-book, there isn't much to refer to except for substantiating your points with reading materials. I would have to say that, as much as it is interesting since you get to watch very ahem *interesting* videos about the different facades of japan culture, understanding the themes discussed at a superficial level will not get you far in this module.Ratings: ★★☆☆☆3) PC1326 (Physics in Life Sciences)If you have checked out the module page under CORS or IVLE, the only preclusion to this module is that you must not be a physics major. I think they should add "Life Science major" under the preclusion too. The reason is simple: 50% of the lecture contents is pure biology. This module is basically a combination of both physics and biology, and a little chemistry. In fact it's pretty all-rounded in a sense because you get to be exposed to all three sciences. There are two tests (purely MCQs), coupled with a huge term paper (35 pages long) on any topic covered in the lectures. The great thing about this modules is that it's non-examinable!A piece of advice to the arts people: if you are not inclined towards science, or if you have vowed yourself that you will never ever touch anything scienc-y when you chose arts before entering nus, please don't torture yourself and choose this module. It's a must-take module for the science and engin students though.Ratings: ★★★☆☆4) PR2202 (Perfumes & Cosmetics)It's no wonder why the cohort is dominated by none other than girls.. girls..girls! Because it's mainly about girly stuff - cosmetics and perfumes! So guys, if you have no idea what is a night cream, don't bother taking this module. Frankly, i wonder whether the guys have a hard time remembering the names of the different kinds of cosmetics we girls use, because all these names come naturally to me.There is a mini-project whereby you have to come up with a product based on the lecturers' requirements. I had to come up with a shampoo product with my project members for that semester. Plus, you need to come up with an advertising strategy to make your product attractive and appealing to your target group. People who have dabbled with photoshop or any designing softwares will be your ideal project mates. There are no tests but a take home assignent whereby you are given a few websites related to cosmetics and perfumes and you need to answer a whole list of MCQ questions by visiting these websites. Sounds easy, but the process of scouring for the answers can be very traumatic. There's a final exam which is a combination of MCQs, short answer questions (mainly fill-in-the-blanks) and essay questions.Although the amount of content you find in your course packs look very very intimidating, the content itself is easy to integrate into one's memory especially if you are a girl. For example, what's an eye lash curler, or what do you do to straighten your hair. Girly stuff. Maybe the metrosexual guys may find this module easy too.Again, it may be a little tough for the arts people.Ratings: ★★★☆☆For the modules i took in year 1, you may want to click here.To those who are still bidding for their remaining modules, good luck!P.S. arzhou (the greater guru to nus modules) has a pretty detailed guide too. Click to read more! happy birthday yuki!!! It was yuki's 16th birthday yesterday and that's her posing with her sunflower.Act cuteI found this really nice picture of our patio in our camera. I think my dad took this photo. My parents are really proud of the patio because they came up with the idea of making one by themselves. We chopped our garden into half and converted one half to this.Pretty~It's a really nice place to sit down and relax with a cup of tea. Singaporeans moving towards trillinguilism During our usual tea time at macs at liang court today, my dad and i came across this table of young people reading japanese books.Liang court is always patronized by japanese people, so it's not surprising to see japanese families hanging out at macs. But these young people were mostly singaporeans. And the stuff they were reading were not mangas or magazines where you can figure out the meaning by looking at the pictures. They were mostly reading japanese novels or guidebooks.Pretty impressive, i should say.People tell me that being able to speak three languages is not an easy feat, when they know that i can converse in 3 languages. But that's because my parents are japanese and singaporean chinese, so it's natural for me to pick up those two languages. Plus, english is the main language used in singapore. In other words, i was raised up in an environment that led me to learn these 3 languages naturally on my own.But these people i met today, they were really something. They have mastered the japanese language so well, and at such a short time (since they are around my age). My eyes almost boggled out when i caught this guy reading a japanese novel. One of the pros of receiving an education in singapore is that there's a all-rounded aspect to learning languages. From young, we have been educated in both english and our mother tongue, be it mandarin, tamil or malay. And for those who are capable of handling another additional language, they are encouraged to take up useful languages like french, german and japanese. This, i feel, gives us a stronger edge compared to other countries in Asia, whereby there is more emphasis on the usage of one language, for example, the Japanese people studying almost everything in japanese, except for their english lessons. That's why more and more foreigners here are vying for a place in a local school for their children. The importance and advantage of having an all-rounded education in this aspect is pretty much recognized by many. undesirable Recently, i discovered that many friends have, or are in the process of getting into a relationship. As much as i'm feeling exhilarated for them, i'm starting to question myself. No one in the right mind would want to date a yoda-lookalike right?May the force be with me!!! My First Time at the Japanese Association Last Saturday, the boss brought me around the Japanese Association because i told him i had never had the chance to visit that place before. The Japanese Association is basically like a club for the Japanese, an equivalent of the American Club for the Americans. Since the membership fee is pretty expensive, my parents never felt the need to apply for one. Which explains why i had never entered that place before. The interior was surprisingly, more spacious than i thought.Three large Japanese traditional kites, called Takos, span the upper part of the interior, which is a pretty magnificent sight from the bottom. The Japanese people normally fly their takos on New Year's Eve.The main highlight for the day was the food of course. And it had been such a long time since i have had a deeply satisfying, plus 100% authentic Japanese food in Singapore. As usual, i always ordered my favourite dish - tempura moriawase. This tempura dish is a far cry from the one i had at sushi tei. I enjoyed it tremendously. To the people who read (love?) my blog A few days ago, i clicked onto "My blogs" under the ping website and discovered that there is this little section called "Loves" which tells you how many users like your blog. So i was pretty surprised that there are actually some ping users who like my blog.I started blogging with a simple aim which was to keep close friends updated with what's happening with my life. But as my blog grew, my social circle grew at the same time as people started leaving comments, and our friendships budded from those little exchanges. What's more, many friends whom i have never told them about my blog, are in fact reading it pretty faithfully (and quietly)! So to those who are reading this now, thank you very much=) It really means a lot to me because I'm not as vocal in real life as compared to my blog persona. And to those who clicked onto "Loves" under ping, i'm very curious to know who you guys are.... easySafe - Your unique key to security FAST easySafe is the only hardware cryptography product available in the market with unique features. Instead, they prefer to be known as japanese. My dad thinks that the reason for this mindset lies in the their way of upbringing. Parents is a key factor in influencing how children identify themselves as, according to him.I know a guy who sees himself as a japanese, instead of a singaporean, and he wants to go back to japan one day. The thing is, he has never tried living in japan before, and he doesn't realise that for it may not be a bed of roses for a half-japanese to live in japan. Think about the 3rd, 4th generation of the Japanese Brazilians, who are in reality, struggling to blend into the japanese society.Apparently, having his father stationed overseas for almost over a decade, this guy has been mostly raised up by his japanese mother. Which probably explains why he sees himself more as a japanese, rather than a singaporean.I have no qualms about him being extraodinarily proud of his japanese heritage. But how about his singaporean identity? If i hadn't known that he was a half, i would have thought he was a pure japanese. The singaporean part of him is almost non-existent. i need food...... food... food.... Recently i have been skipping my lunches at work, since i had loads of work to do in the office. So i think i must have lost a little weight because the wind almost blew me away this morning.Just kidding. But anyway, the boss must have felt bad for keeping me in the office with no lunch. So today, as i was busily typing out some mails, he came around and plopped this familiar looking plastic bag on my desk.Coffee Bean.Which is located on the first floor of the building we are in.And he got me their cheesecake, which is my ultimate favourite.Apparently, he had remembered that i prefer tea over coffee and that i'm a huge cheesecake fan, from the little conversations we had.The first lunch for the week*salivate*I was so touched. He's going to bring me around the Japanese Association on saturday since i've never been there myself before. So looking forward to it~ the suzuki way of eating sukiyaki This is a long overdue post on the sukiyaki we had at home over the weekend. And this is how the suzuki family have their sukiyaki:Everything prepared.. all set for sukiyaki!!!Firstly, the ingredients!Sukiyaki, like any other steamboat, uses basic ingredients such as:1) The colourless noodles ( we call it harusame)2) Tofu (an essential ingredient, especially when yuka is around)3) Meat. Tonnes of it. (especially when yuka is around and is terribly hungry). Or else you might end up being the meat.4) Japanese radish. This is not a usual ingredient but my dad wanted to try out something new so he added it.Canadian sliced pork bellies. Canadian pork is the best!!! (Because they don't stink)Voila! The real way to eat sukiyaki is to take some and dip it into your own bowl that contains beaten raw egg. I know that many people are very uncomfortable with eating raw food, let along raw egg. But as long as the eggs are fresh, and with one eye closed, i assure you, you'll enjoy eating sukiyaki.Anyone game enough to eat sukiyaki? cute boss I think i'm enjoying my current part-time job the most as compared to my previous ones over the past few years.I guess the people working around us may also play a part in our work enthusiasm.I think i'm fortunate this time because i have a really great boss to start with. And he's really cute and funny. Here are some pretty random but funny moments in the office.1) The sweaterThe offices here are so freezing cold it's no wonder people complain about the electricity bills. And all the freezing people will be piling themselves with layers of clothings, which is a pretty ironic sight since singapore weather is hot and humid all year round.Anyway, i noticed that my boss wore his sweater inside-out on a few occasions but i didn't say anything initially since i didn't want to be seen as nosy on my first week at work. So on the third week, being unable to contain my curiosity, i told him that he was wearing his sweater the wrong way."Oh i did that on purpose." "You know, when you take off your sweater, the sweater will turn inside-out right?" Uh-huh. "So if i pull off my sweater later (which is worn inside-out), the sweater will return to the correct state in which it should be worn right? I can't be bothered with how i wear my sweater, and besides i don't mind wearing it inside-out." 2) The calculatorI was consulting him on a document which involved a little math in calculating a particular cost.As i was reaching out for my calculator on my desk, the boss said, "Don't worry, i have mine." And then he happily whipped out his own version of a calculator. It was an abacus.I haven't seen an abacus ever since i finished my abacus course back in my primary school days. And the boss was happily flicking the abacus beads as he was doing his calculations. And his calculations were perfectly correct. ~*~*~By the way, did i forget to mention that my boss is in his seventies? puffy eyes I made a new discovery about myself today.I discovered that after crying throughout the previous night, my eyes can get so puffy my usually double eyelids converge to become single eyelids. So right now i look different entirely with even smaller-looking eyes and yes, i think i'm looking more like yoda from star wars now.I'm not in the mood to talk about what had happened yesterday. That's why i didn't attend Ping's major event today even though i badly wanted to.To you guys who sent all those encouraging smses, i really appreciate it a lot. Yes, we can always arrange another time to meet up. So don't worry about me:) why girls are weird I'm currently reading this book with a very interesting title called "Why Girls are Weird".Maybe i can start enlightening you guys (and i mean, guy guys) once i finish reading it. I'm sure you guys would want to know the answer to that.In the meantime....I don't understand how attractive can these girls be. Someone please enlighten me >.< Hurt again... I ran the edge of the glass door over my second toe today and boy, did it really hurt.Thinking that it was just a slight scrape of skin, i continued walking.A few seconds later, i felt a warm sensation on my toe and found blood seeping into my sandal.I'm such a walking disaster. learning from work Ever since my first day at work last week, i feel that i've learnt many valuable lessons which i don't think i'll have the chance to experience back in nus.In the past, the idea of a part-time job to me, was a specific task given to me, which had to be carried out every day once i hit the power button on my desktop computer. It required not much understanding at all. As long as i followed step-by-step, nothing would go wrong. Frankly, i can't even remember what the steps that i followed faithfully from the given manual. But recently, especially taking up this secretarial job, the things that i learn, i feel, hold a very significant value towards my development into a working adult in the future. Firstly, it's the social aspect whereby interacting with fellow colleagues and the boss can be quite tough in the office, especially when office politics is heavily involved. I've met my fair share of people who are not cooperative or even friendly to begin with, but that doesn't deter me since you can never expect every one to be nice to you all the time. The working society is different from school in this aspect, from my point of view.Secondly, the idea of responsibility. The mere idea of affecting future deals with other clients if one was to commit a blunder can be pretty scary. Again, i had my share of making countless mistakes in the past. But the most important thing is to learn from the mistake and never commit it again. Plus, being responsible earns greater trust from the boss or colleagues, and perhaps, they will be more confident in handing over more important tasks.Thirdly, the desire to learn a new skill or a new piece of knowledge. I think this is the most important aspect that i've discovered recently. Right now at work, i'm constantly learning new things every day, whether it's about dealing with clients over the phone, or over the emails...etc, it feels like getting something in return besides the salary. In more specific terms, since i have plans to live in japan in the future, handling work in japanese (in this current job) has really been a great starting point for me.I've been discussing about how to source out and grab hold of good job opportunities with many working adults recently. Previously, i have been planning this kind of thing on my own, without much consult with other people, except for my parents. But talking to other experienced people, has deepened my understanding of the requirements to work in any society and also, what i really want in the future.I know this entry must have been pretty dry for some. But i guess everyone should have an inkling of what they want to do in the future, or mayb have already started working towards their goals. So feel free to leave any opinions=) Lawry's The Prime Rib Be amazed with the superior service provided by the staff. It had a huge portion of tofu inside. Every bite into the soft tofu was heavenly...I'm a tofu lover, be it chinese or japanese tofu, i love them all!My favourite tofu dishes:Tau PokThey taste the best in laksa!!!! But too bad i can't take spicy stuff now:(Hiyayako (cold tofu)Eating this on a hot day is the ultimate... it just cools you down from the inside to the outside.Goma tofu (Sesame tofu)My number one favourite tofu dish~ It's so tasty and healthAgedashi tofuLooking at this is making me droolingThe funny thing is, with all the tofu i'm stuffing myself with, i don't seem to be able to remember things well. I think that article is flawed. scary donation seeker Ever since i started work a few days ago, i have been getting flyers shoved in my face or people coming up to me asking me for donations whenever i get out of the train station exit at the CBD area.Compared to other areas in singapore, the CBD area seems to be probably the best place to get people to make a donation, or read your flyers. At least a handful of them may be willing to donate for the good of charity. Because imagine the crowded streets in the CBD area you see every day! People are simply everywhere. For me, i became more apprehensive towards making donations and i do have had some unpleasant encounters with donation seekers on the streets. So as usual, i will kindly reject them when i meet this kind of people. But yesterday, when i was heading towards the underpass, this old man holding a plastic file (that contains pictures of the organization they are representing for) came up to me out of nowhere. Again, i just smiled and tried to walk away. But he caught up with me and said, "Hi miss, you look pretty in your dress today. Would you like to make a donation?"I shook my head politely again and attempted to make a beeline for the entrance to the underpass. And this person just wouldn't give up. He ran after me, constantly asking me to make a donation, and trying to induce guilt in me by saying stuff like, "This is my first day doing this. Don't do this to me."He was so persistent that i had to dash at full speed towards the stairs. In my heels too.He finally gave up after i reached the stairs, and i heard him mutter something under his breath before he walked off.Boy, it was terrifying and annoying at the same time. Some people just don't know where to draw the line. japan's funniest & most scantily clad comedian Some people may argue with the title, but to me, kojima yoshio is probably the most hilarous japanese comedian i have come across. Plus, he's one of the very rare comedians with a decent toned body, unlike the usual belly protruding uncle comedians. He's always seen in a pair of tight briefs and nothing else, and his trademark lines are:1) Sonna no kaneine~! (which means something like "It has nothing to do with that")2) Opa-pi~ (Meaningless word but has a comical sounding to it)Oh, and when he says the first trademark line, he will go into this downward pumping action, which absolutely means nothing. Here are some of the commercials that he did:Did you manage to spot the trademark lines? He's such a big hit in japan, there was this huge craze of japanese fans who tried imitating his trademark dance, and some even went onto posting their versions on youtube.Watching his dances is a good stress buster.
