CNY Outfit 2010 Yea… I know this entry is waaaaaayyy late. But hey! better late than never. These days I’m really not into shopping anymore and the trip was quite a chore. Two days before CNY, I walked right into Zara & picked out this top in 5mins flat. The shoe was easy, I already knew a Jaime Mascaro flat would match perfectly. (超 Chio! I brought it along for my trip & it went with e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g!) Then, coz I couldn’t find myself a pair of nice fitting cream shorts that day, I just wore it with my favourite Forever 21 charcoal shorts & freshly saloon-ed hair. Got quite a few compliments for looking pretty in pink. *beams gleeful* Lust: YSL Muse Two Was fashion blog surfing when this screamed out at me… [via Jak & Jil] A bag that made even a track pants suit outfit look so insanely good! I did a quick search and felt my heart did The all-familiar Flutter… *wishful sigh* I love moments like this… When I beat myself up over how little I make that I dare not even dream. Really really need to do something about the speed of money making. *snigger at self* Irony of Simplicity If there is a guilty indulgence dish I love to death, this is it. The ultimate comfort food of the century - Instant Noodles!!! Whenever I go to a Hong Kong cafe, however long the list of goodies, my eyes always find itself searching and landing on this dish. And then whoever I’m with would usually give me the look, and ask why eat something you can make at home for a fraction of the price. I always wondered silently in my head, ‘Why do people peg monetary value on everything?! This is as good a meal as any other dish on the menu, so why is it less worthy although it’s equally yummy?’ Sometimes I cower, succumb to peer pressure and order something else. But this entire trip, I un-guiltily had this dish… 3 times! The best thing of it all? My partner loves it too and when I wondered my thought aloud, all he said was, ‘We’re more alike than I thought…’ *Blissful sigh* ♥ With you by my side, I most certainly am not. *squeeze hand* - - - - - So our flight was delayed due to the weather & our holiday had a time extension. The airline put us up at Riviera Hotel which was away from the city centre, thankfully for that, we discovered new places a reg tourist would have missed. On our long walk out, we chance upon this quaint little restaurant and decided to skip the usual hotel food for this yummilicious fare! Thank God we did, coz it was so damn deliciously mouth watering good… I can still vividly ‘taste’ the stuffed duck rice & grilled cheese prawn in my mind! Portugese seafood feast by the Macau riviera To me, traveling is incomplete without experiencing life as the locals would… do as they do, eat as they would and experience their culture and way of life. Among the fine dining at Mortons (died, went to heaven and died again!), hotel restaurants hopping, street side hawker stores & lil cafes, I dare say this was certainly one of the most unforgettable of it all. The scenery was beautiful, the night breeze was nice and cool. The food was fantabulous and the company… *smile* Pure bliss. I couldn’t resist cheerily singing, skipping and dancing by the riviera. Macau Tower & Bridge! If I had to paint ‘Perfection’ - This night would have been the night. Hello from Macau! Fresh blooms never fail to put a smile to my face and a skip to my steps. *Hugs* Guess who I met up with in Shenzhen on my birthday??!?!!!!! It so happen that our itinerary for our trips matched on that very day, so we call, sms, call, sms and met up in the heart of Dongmen for a hug. Have been trying all sorts of method to get rid of this bug to no avail. There’s nothing I hate more than coughing. It’s the most horrible of all! Cough Mixture, Hot Whiskey, Cold Beer, Vit C, Lemon Honey… You name it, I’ve had it. But still the relief had all been temporary. Mom just topped up my Bird Nest supply that I take twice a day. Once upon a time I love taking photos of everything, everywhere I go, but somehow along the way, maybe age, maybe times have changed, and these days all I want is just to enjoy every beautiful moment, not wanting to be bothered by any of them worldly distracting things. Holidaying the Club Med way was simply wonderful. It was free flow drinks (Yes, Alcohol too!) & food throughout the day, so with just my book in hand, I went about the holiday free of baggage. Very liberating feeling I would say & their Guest officers were simply lovely! The pool we spent hours in… The sea we spent hours chasing waves in… Something I enjoyed the most this trip was chasing after the waves. Weather was crazy on the second day and the black warning flag was up, but we are not daunted because It’s our holiday and we’re gonna live it up! Running into the sea and throwing ourselves against the incoming waves, jumping to get the most of the crazy push and drifting with the current… It was so so fun, I would remember this trip the most-est for this experience. After a fulfilling dinner spread (Fav: myriad of salads and… cheese!), a surprise birthday party was thrown and I was close to tears with happiness. This is going to be a good year, I already know. Everything is wonderful… it’s all gonna pan out perfectly dandy. Thank you God, Thanks daddy. Thanks for watching over me. Getaway Smell of the sea breeze Digging toes into soft sand Sound of the crashing waves Visions lined with wisps of hair Smiles accompanying slow walks Post note: 19 Feb, 5.20pm @ Club Med Bintan CNY @ Kukup Mom didn’t want to spend CNY in Singapore this year as Dad’s not around, and something she was told to practise is - No visiting or giving Ang Pao. So after spending CNY Day 1 in Sg with Dad’s side of the family, we set off the next morning with Mom’s side of the family to Kukup. Kukup is like Kelong City! We stayed at this bungalow-like resort with aircon and the likes. It was decent and comfortable except I wasn’t fond of bunk beds. I spend the afternoon visiting, strolling, relaxing, basically… Everything that you don’t normally do being stuck in our concrete city. Watching the Sunset while reading my book As I was quite sick with my cough & flu, I took sporadic naps along the day, and woke up to the sound of endless fireworks and fire crackers! Simply put - It was just Pyrotechnics Overload!!! Every minute somewhere someone is putting off fireworks. The night sky was simply stunning with all these ‘jewels’ adorning it. Chinese New Year never felt so so festive. Dad, wish you were there… What is the length of Happiness? I miss the days of innocence. When I just frivolously put my all into everything & live 轰轰烈烈 days without a care. When I genuinely believed in the good of others & have faith in true blue happiness. When I despite despairs, stood up again & thrust my blind trust into the next player. It’s easy to forget sometimes, lost in the giggles and the kisses, who wants to think about anything when the now is so perfectly irresistible. So happy, so lovely, so sweet, so heartwarming… But I am only human, and the past had taught me cold hard lessons. Lessons I was forced to sit through and endure the torturing alone. Lessons I had of watching myself pick up the pieces of my heart & my life. Lessons I promise never to repeat for fear of re-living the pain. I no longer know how to fully embrace happiness, for I know how easily it can be taken from me again. So simply, so swiftly, so coldly, so heartlessly… I dare not indulge in it for I fear losing it. Afterall, you can’t lose what you never had can you? Shoe Love This is a third of my shoe shelf. Have decided to sort by color and style. This is the covered shoe & booties side. Tall boots will go below the booties. I just discovered something extremely troubling that I’ve yet to find a solution… WHAT exactly, do I do with the shoe boxes?!?!!?!?!!!! Or rather… Where am I gonna keep them? Should I just throw them away? Some of the pricey(ier) shoes come with their own dust bags. Is that sufficient? Oh damn… Anyone with better Housekeeping advices can offer me a solution?
