Change of blogsite Yeah yeah... I know what you're gonna say. Again? Yuh. You don't go out much, do you? No, not really. But then again, I ain't very free either. That's why I am fast forwarding the launch of the new webbie. You will notice that there isn't any tagboard for this new website. Anyone and everyone who wants to chat will definitely have to post a comment. Haha... Puny little human. Hulk smash! I feel weak. As weak as Bruce Banner. The Hulk is trying it's best to come out, but so far, the only thing that managed to come out of me is vomit. Lots of it. MC today, feeling really sick. So sick that even after medication (which I deem to be lousy) and a good rest, I still feel sick, if not worse than earlier on. Haven't been able to blog for a bit now, haven't I? Well, the reason being, my company was advised not to use the Internet during office hours, so nuff said on that. Still waiting to get out of this frigging job and get a nicer one, with nicer people, nicer environment, and hopefully, a nicer paycheck. Signing off, Alex A hairy situation As I am sitting here, taking a crap after a stomach ache which was caused by something that was deemed as a bad meal, I realise that the sides of my thighs have grown hair. Omfg! Does this confirm that as you age, hair starts growing out of everywhere, sucking your hair follicles from the top of your head to create a mat of chest hair, or hairy palms, or *gasp* HAIRY EARS! Momma, I don't wanna grow up. I want to be 18 again. BOO HOO HOOOOOOOOO! PCB! Wah lan eh. My friends bought the HG toy, and they never even let me in on it, even though I told a couple of them about it. Fuck lah... what friends. A Tale of Two Different Games Watched game 4 of the NBA Finals, as well as the first match for the night's WC coverage. POWER, two different games, both were almost one-sided affairs.Miami, powered by D-Wade, totally strolled past Dallas with clinical finishing and tough defense. Dallas were guily of lousy finishing and bad teamwork. For the WC, Argentina totally destroyed Serbia & Montenegro (S&M *sniggers*) with their superb passing and teamwork. 6-0, good lordy, as football365's reporter put it.To sum it up, I should have bet more on Argentina. Bah. Ha! Tiger's father passes on Earl Woods, the father of US golf legend Tiger Woods and the mastermind behind his son's stellar career, died Wednesday after a long battle with cancer, Tiger Woods announced.Earl Woods, 74, died in the home in the California town of Cypress where he raised his famous son, the golfer said in a statement on his website."Im very saddened to share the news of my fathers passing at home early this morning," Woods said."My dad was my best friend and greatest role model, and I will miss him deeply. Im overwhelmed when I think of all of the great things he accomplished in his life. He was an amazing dad, coach, mentor, soldier, husband and friend."I wouldnt be where I am today without him, and Im honored to continue his legacy of sharing and caring," he said.Former Green Beret soldier Earl Woods has been battling prostate cancer since 1998. SGeans and their dirty habits Over the past few months of riding my bike along the streets of Singapore... I have come to learn of a few things which aren't really good. - A minority of drivers signal before filtering lane in front of a bike- An even smaller minority of that minority say thank you when you allow them to filter- Motorcycles are deemed to be pesky by car drivers, but what about themselves?- Drivers speed up upon seeing that you have signalled your intention to filter lanes- SGeans are KPO when accidents happen, causing huge traffic jams where and when possible- Traffic police have the 'authority' to speed during normal patrols, but not lesser mortals like us- Traffic police seem to be busier during bonus time- Bus lanes in SG are redundant, except in TP's opinion - - - - - Watching NBA Finals game 3 even though I know the result, as well as the Tunisia vs Saudi Arabia game. Shaq's wife is a hottie, especially when she's jumping up and down wearing that tight white sleeveless tee-shirt. *oops* In footie news, Cardiff City has signed Magpies homeboy Michael Chopra. Sigh. Though I am sad that this scoring prodigy (In England U-21 and Newcastle reserve ranks), I am happy for him as he was never going to get his chance to shine for his boyhood club, one of the reasons being that he is too similiar to Michael Owen. Newcastle needs a striker in Alan Shearer's mould. - - - - - I think this has been the longest post in a long time, hasn't it? Heh. Went to a fengshui master on dear's request. Though I am sceptical on fengshui, I guessed that it wouldn't hurt to just go, check it out. After the appointment, in which I chanced upon my former campmate Kelvin Chee along the way, we headed over to Seoul Garden to have a buffet dinner.. and BOY DID WE EAT!! Not to mention, it cost me almost $50. Gone are the days of $7.99 student meals. Heh. Alright, gotta go. Time to update my resume. And also to contemplate on whether or not to confirm my appointment with my company, thus increasing my pain and suffering there, as well as my pay by another $250. Keane retires! Roy Keane has officially called time on his playing career, due to a long-standing battle with his hip. The midfield general has been outstanding throughout his career, mostly with Manchester United, and has had lots of tiffs with many a player, including one recently retired Alan Shearer. Though one will definitely be reminded of his unproud tackle on that Manchester City player, Haaland, it's just one of a few blemishes in a glittering career. *salutes* Bah! So, it's tea break in work-land once again. And the slacker Alex has decided to use his boss's pc to blog about the 'wonderful' things in work-land, amongst other things. The evil Malaysian colleague spoke to me today, driving thoughts of 'Beware the stab in the back" into my head. But, he was just asking about some items that were checked by the both of us previously before we got on bad terms. Actually, if you asked me, I would say that he is being extremely childish, but I'm too lazy to blog out what happened to make me derive that. Forgot to bring my socks today, forcing me to wear my safety shoes without socks... and thus, making new friends in the numerous BLISTERS that I have around my feet and ankles. BAH! I've been late the whole of June, so far. And the wonderful thing about this company is that even if you punch in 1 minute past 8am, you get your pay docked by about $5. Brilliant eh? So I have decided to be slightly earlier from tomorrow onwards, maybe reaching here by 7.55am, cos the darn queue for punching in your timecard is like super long lah! Getting used to the functions of my new Motorola SLVR L7. It's kinda like a little hard to use, and the memory card capacity is only good for songs and photos. If you wanna use a customised ringing tone, cannnnn, just make sure that it won't go past 4mb cos that's what my phone memory is left with. Brilliant! This week has been hectic, school wise. 3 lectures this week. Two with the BS lecturer (that's business statistics) and one coming up tonight with TS, and a presentation later on as well. Luckily it's been completed. I did the research, Tracy and Joanne did the powerpoint, and Seph and Nick will be presenting it later on. Looks good, so far. Too bad it's not our assignment, if not, ACE LIAO LOR! Okay okay, break time is over. Gotta get back to my stupid job, BAH! Motorola L7 As above... my gf and I co-paid for a Motorola L7 to replace my fast diminishing n6600. Though I love that phone, I must say that it's been giving me problems as of late. Here's the funny part though. THE PHONE IS SO HARD TO USE!!!! So right now, I'm trying to figure out how to work it. Anyone has a phone similiar to this?HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Okaayyyyyyyyyyyyy! I want... a Nokia n80 for any occasion at all! Haha! I'm home! Left home late today for Tuas after being informed just when I was about to leave for work at Hougang. Made my day *smiles*Went to Tuas at about 9.20am, then stayed on for about an hour, busying myself with nothing actually. Got a call from my boss, asking me to head back to Hougang later in the afternoon, to do water testing with my new-arch-enemy cos my senior colleague skidded on his bike and got 3 days mc. BORING! Anyways, I plan to only head back to office at about 2+. Sick of it all actually. Looking forward to playing basketball later on, hopefully the rain doesn't come.My motorbike's got a little dent on the exhaust, thanks to the FRIGGIN' HIGH HUMP AT BALESTIER PLAZA. Nabei cheeeeeeeeekeeeen. Absolut Sick Vodka I am pretty much sick of life as it steamrolls it's way through me. I'm tired of my work and all it's hassles. Sometimes, I really regret (not that I don't regret all the time) SO much, that I wished that I had stopped myself. I had my job, the people working alongside me, and the Management ('cept for my boss who is also my friend) School has been a killer so far, with Business Statistics being the main culprit. HARD! And what makes it even harder is the fact that my gay lecturer is not a really good teacher. This brings about the conclusion that not all smart people are good teachers. Caught quite a few movies on DVD and cinema during the past few weeks. Been so busy that I forgot to update. Lazy to upload, so I shall leave it for another time. Think I shall call it a night. Bored. Nights fellas. Attached out to Tuas for 3 1/2 days .. and I am quite sick of the life there, as well as my workplace. Will blog more tonight, till then.. I HATE MY JOB! Bummer with a captial B I overslept and could not play ball with Dennis at CCC, and that officially makes me an aeroplane pilot. Fark! Work Blogging from my workplace now. Break time. Some peace and quiet at last. This is only my second job since coming out of Army some 3 years ago, but I already feel cursed to have such bad luck. I think that my choices in jobs have been bad ones so far. Here's some things that I have learnt about my colleagues, fellow workers, and the Environment here.My colleaguesI feel that my colleagues have been putting up false pretences all this while. What started off as a childish-type of behaviour from my Malaysian colleague turned into a full-blown affair, with the other colleagues siding him (since he's always bitching about everything but himself) but, 2 words. Who cares?I've learnt that in this kind of harsh environment, the only way up is to stab people in the back, side, or front, to get to where you want to in this ladder.Take William, production manager who hates my guts cos he thinks that I can't work as a QC Inspector because I was formerly doing administrative work. The bugger himself was doing administrative work HERE barely a year ago, speedily stabbing his way to the top, and now that he's on top, he doesn't give respect to other managers or supervisors, even though they showed him the ropes. And now, Siva, his henchman, upon being promoted to Supervisor, is beginning to act like him too, putting on airs and all. What gives? So many problems this production has gone through, and it's not gonna let up. I'm actually pretty much wiped out thanks to this 'lobang' from my friend. To say that I regret is an understatement. But, what's passe is passe. Look forward, get my diploma, quit, join somewhere else and cross your fingers that you found a better job. After all, this is all just a stepping stone.Alright, I think I shall call it off here. I'll try to blog again soon. Meanwhile, my knee hurts bad thanks to the collision with Daniel yesterday. SWOLLEN! Blog I wanted to blog... but after playing games, I realise that it is already past 3am, and I HAVE WORK TOMORROW! Siao liao lor. *g0ne* Whoa Nancy! *dusts off the cobwebs* It's been a while, ain't it? Well, where shall I start at? It has been a really long time since I've last blogged that I don't really know where I should begin. And of course, I am sure that my readership of 7 readers are already thinking about delinking me from their sites or what. Hahahaha Well, let's start with school. I've completed my last 2 modules, Marketing and Business Management, last month end. This week, I started off Business Statistics and Organisational Behaviour. My 2 new lecturers are way different from the previous two. One's an NUS lecturer who asked us to call him T.S, and he has a whole array of jokes. The other lecturer, Mr Ho, is gay. And happily gay at that. Makes the classes more lively. And the new class is like, whoa! 100 students, up from 40 the previous 2 modules. And.. and... lots of eye candy! Damn! Where did they all come from? Work's been a real bitch nowadays. I really can't stand it anymore. One day, I feel fine, the next day, I feel like throwing in the towel again. It sucks when even your own department people look at you differently. Well, I might blog on and on... but I won't. Will try to blog again shortly, I hope. Ha! Till then... bye! And then! Random thoughts ok?There was this huge fire at work today. In the space of 10 minutes, a totally new bus was lost forever, because of a spark that caught onto a seat. And while all this was happening, yours throughly was in the toilet, having a crap.Yesterday night, there was a series of accidents on the PIE, on both sides, happening simultaneously. I could only see 2 of it. From my 'experience', I think that there was a high speed collision on the 1st lane going towards Jurong, and that in turn shocked a trailer on the opposite end, who collided against a car (I think) and skidded all the way to the road shoulder, and the last, a Comfort taxi which suddenly jammed brake because of the commotion, causing a car behind to ram into it, causing some serious damage! All in all, 4 traffic police cars and 2 ambulances, not a minor accident ok?This China fella standing in the middle of the road on AYE on yesterday afternoon, while everyone was doing 90km/hr, really brought goosebumps to me. Reminded me of that stupid accident, which I am most probably going to lose, unless a miracle happens. There was an ah-beng today that diaoed me at work today while queing up for food. And the best part was that, I didn't do anything wrong, rather, he cut my queue, and sat on my seat. PCB. All was fine with it. Walked past the car park where due to the lack of car park lots, people took to parking their cars along the double yellow lines. Kena! Traffic policeman TP42H was there, issuing summons to all of them. How's that for a nice Good Friday bonus treat. So, anyways, as I went further up where the traffic policeman was not seen, I spotted this fella trying to park onto one of the double lined lots. As he was pulling in, I signalled him, and let him know that he had better not park there, and he responded kindly, by saying thanks. *ding!* The fella is a Caucasian. Right behind, this other car started honking us. I turned to glare, thinking in my mind that for fuck's sake, it's only a 10 sec conversation, not as though you're going to lose $1m or something. The fellas in the car drove past us and gave us a hand gesture.... how kind of them. Hate this kind of ugly Singaporeans. (reason for the 'nua' post is because I just went for jogging / swimming / gym in the first half. Ate chicken rice and chicken macaroni, then realised that I am supposed to be on abstinence today, for today is Good Friday. Out. Movies/Dramas watched over the previous week Caught this movie Saw 2 on DVD on Saturday. Power movie, as was the first one. The plot really thickened to a point where I had no idea that there was someone else to take over Jigsaw. And for the rest of you Saw 2 junkies, Saw 3 is due to be out this year! This drama that Glenn Hoei came up with was the riot of the year for me (other than Army Daze) It was lewd and funny, and I really recommend those with the taste for drama to go see it. Lamenting Alex Sigh, so many worries, problems. So many things that I wanted to blog out, so that I can read in the near future of the things that had me worried then, and how I managed to overcome them. But, so far, I've forgotten to blog quite a few of them.Anyways.... main highlights.- Dear's Granddad passed away on Friday- Thinking about changing my blog layout to suit my mood (black-ish)- Assignment got wiped out by viruses, causing me to reformat my pc- Realised that my motor insurance company doesn't want me anymore- NTUC is charging me $1360 for my motor insurance cos of my accident (fucked!)- Re-did my 2 week assignment in a few hours- Managed to do quite well for my assignment (Thank God for that)- Fixed up my bike on Friday (changed engine oil, rear brake plate, loosened clutch)- Happy that my bike feels brand new now (No, serious!)- Unhappy that my new colleague is a slacking 40 year old- Happy to realise that my new colleague is intent on resigning due to low pay- Unhappy that my new colleague did not try to push himself a little- Unhappy that one particular manager in the Company is aiming me- Hate it when that manager critisizes me in front of everyone (For fuck's sake, I'm new lah!)- Basketball last Saturday was one of the best so far- There's housewarming later on in the night at good friend Janson's house- There's a basketball session at CCC later on in the afternoon (hope it's as good as last week)- Watched 'Magic Fundoshi' at The new National Library- Saw a former classmate from my private school (hottie) which I managed to forget (name)- Will be jogging tomorrow (Sunday) at MacRitchie Reservoir in the morning- Buying stationary tomorrow (Sunday) at this warehouseOk, I think that should be it for the moment. Gotta fetch my girl at Taman Jurong, then go home, pack up, and head over to CCC. After which, gotta go for the wake, then hit Janson's house. Gotta call Janson to ask if his family is pantang (superstitious) which I don't really think so.So.. big SIGH from me, signing off. Movies that I watched over the weekend I, Robot. Good show, this. I don't care what the critics say. Halle Berry is HAWT in this movie. Makes me want to love cats all again. Lamenting in progress Lots to lament about. Main reason for lamenting; my previous company getting an average of 2 mths bonus per person, which meant that I would have gotten 2.25-2.5 mths, because I was a merit awardee. This would not have mattered much if not for the sad fact that I do not really enjoy working in my 1+mth old new job. My pay does not justify me being there. I ought to be paid more. Yes, I agree that it doesn't take a degree holder to know how to work in an environment where drilling sounds ringgggggggg in your ears throughout the day, for 5 and a 1/2 days EVERY WEEK. But still, I sweat so much each day, breathe in so much toxic stuff, get cut so often (among other things) THAT I WISHED I HAD NOT JOINED THIS COMPANY... so early. Shut up Alex. Ok, I shall. Regrets are part of one's life, and I ought to just take it as a lesson learnt. BUT THEN, THAT MISTAKE COST ME $2.5K LAH! Nabei Chao Cheesecake. I could blog on about my past week's affairs, but, honestly, who else here other than me reads this shit? Anyways, who cares about my boring affairs? Oh, ok. Played basketball on Thursday and Saturday. Funnest days of my week. Presentation was yesterday... oops, alarm sounded. It's officially Wednesday now, folks! Jokes aside (imitating my lecturer, Mr Roland Kiew), the presentation went pretty quickly. Nick only took 5 minutes instead of the 'cut-short' 10 minutes given by Mr. Kiew. But, it was pretty ok lah. Newcastle just can't stop losing against the big clubs, and the not so big clubs. BAH! 4 losses on the trot. How bad is that? Boo-yaaaaa! Alright lah, time to go wank or something. Naaaaaah, think sleep is more vital now. Work + class tomorrow. Night folks!
