Finished! Phew... I finished making a synopsis of Christmas performance for my church! I was told to write about John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress, not all story of course... but that's the challenge! I have to sort the chapters, which one will be included and which one not... you know, this great allegory is quite serious and full of deep meaning. I have some trouble to really decide the plot, the climax and which characters to be written.I am so glad it was finally done. It will be performed colossally, which involves children choir, youth choir, dancers, and Japanese Masquerade style. Have you ever watched masquerade? It's our family's favorite show... but now it is not aired any longer. :-(This synopsis will be compared with other synopsis and one of these two will be chosen to be performed this Christmas. If The Pilgrim is chosen, I will have fun to write the script and let the imagination flows... but if it the other synopsis is chosen, I still will help all the performance process.. so, whatever it is, the Christmas preparation will come soon! I have something to tell you Hm... I wonder if this is the right time to tell you or not... but I think it's ok... :-)No, I am not pregnant again! hehehe... diet pills? No, I haven't buy one as well! Still on the same weight.. hahaha... another drama? Well.. yes, but it's not what I wanna tell you here...Guess what? Guest House! Yes, we are preparing a guest house... :-) Only one house of 2 bed rooms, 1 maid room and 1 driver room, to be rented soon! Yay!! This project has absorbed our concentration and budget these months. I am happy to tell you that it is 80% finished now. That's why we have to move our bed set into this house and buy a new one for us... huehehehe...I took a picture of our new Giant bed instead of drawing a sketch for you. I still have many things to do, so I skip about sketching this time... look at our bedroom now!Now you know how it look in the morning... it is tidied up.. hahha..Look our gigantic bed and short mattress... *grin* our budget to buy new mattress will be suspended for a while. :-DIf you remember my post about moz trap, you can see it on the dresser. I really hate mosquitoes!The dresser is brand new given by a friend who owns furniture shop. That's why we bought this bed to match them. We only saw the picture of this bed before we decided to buy it. We were really surprised when it came... how big!! Our bed room suddenly shrank with these new furnitures! Ha ha ha...We really have no idea what to do with that bed... the size is not normal, we have to buy customized mattress, but still the headboard is too high! See that space under the headboard? Our pillows keep on falling down! hahahaha.. We feel thankful that this bed is not placed in the guest house because it will be too weird.. hihihihi... but we enjoy sleeping on this huge bed! This dresser belongs to this bed set.We wanted to buy a new bed for us to match the dresser... but we love this design more than the bed design above.So we called our friend (the seller) to send the bed together with the dresser. We said we wanted the arched bed one. But look what she sent!*doh* Yeah... the wrong style! Anyway, I feel uneasy if I reject this bed, too much trouble for her... besides, she already gave the dresser for free! I think it's acceptable though the header is too high. I was surprise to find the size and I assume the second style (our favorite one) must need more space for its arched headboard. He couldn't see almost anything, my goodness... he couldn't find the props on stage so he failed to use them... hahaha... quite surprising for us!Learning from that experience, we really should wear softlens (get Lasik operation is the best!) to perform drama and we have to use the real prop in our rehearsals! I have to prepare the curriculum I will teach every once a week and believe it or not I am still blank about it! Ha ha ha ha... I will figure it out soon... he he he... I really have to learn a lot... that's what I can say...The competition went well enough, praise the Lord... many has participated, many has come as supporters and we managed to make the audiences stayed for more than 5 hours... I love to see all the creativities, talents and efforts performed. Though there were 16 performances of Samson, we didn't feel bored at all as they performed in different view and version, that's amazing!Our performance was 10 minutes, but I think it's too long to be uploaded here... I cut it down and show you just the short clip... The performance was started by multimedia show... we made a video shooting of baby Samson and his mother. The mother told the baby Samson not to cut his hair to stay strong, and reminded him to obey the Lord. Then, the scene 2 on the stage marked by the presence of 'dalang' holding 'gunungan'... Gunungan was a sign of every scene in wayang performance. Samson came out... and Delilah manage to persuade him and made him bald.... (aargh, see how slim Delilah was... I have to read anoretix reviews to get some info about weight loss!!) We conveyed the message or the moral lesson at the end of the play. Samson was so upset about himself, and thought that God should have chosen some one else instead of him, some one who was perfect, not a person who love girls like him. In the prison, he met an old wise man who encouraged him and told him to repent and ask God a chance to be His tool. God knew his shortcomings even before he was born, but God still wanted to use him... not because of his strength, but because He is God, He has authority to decide everything. His hair was not everything, God, - not his hair - was the source of his strength...That's a brief explanation about the drama... :-)By the way, we won The Best Scenario Trophy... to be honest we felt disappointed not being able to be on the three best drama just because we used Javanese version and Gatot Kaca as Samson. But I knew from the beginning that this drama will be one of the 3 winners because of this reason, I have told the team that we shouldn't use this version if we wanted to win.... we have to use 'bible version' instead. Still, we decided to make our 'dream' come true... :-D We wanted to see the idea in the scenario alive and we did the best already.However, no matter how aware I was that we couldn't win, it was hard to 'swallow the bitter pill' :-) That's why I begin this post by the sentence: I learn a lot... I really have to learn a lot... especially learn to accept the fact that we couldn't win.... Samson will be represented by Gatot Kaca character... Gatot Kaca in Wayang is a very strong man aka superman, quite suitable with Samson's character right? My mom who watched some GR performances said that the acting of our Samson is good enough, just like one of Hot Guys... hehehe...Delilah is not described as Javanese as Samson and Delilah didn't share the same nationality... so Delilah will be Dutch... with Dutch intonation... we will use beautiful Javanese bench and carved wooden partition as the stage setting.There are so many creative ideas and versions to perform the drama. One of the drama even use office furniture as a setting background of Samson Delilah in modern life..I hope I can take some pictures of them tonight and show you. Wrong decision or not? Whatever! I am quite stressful these days... *grin* the drama competition is coming near. Since there are 16 groups who participate, I suggest the competition to begin from 4 PM instead of 5 PM... and the committee agreed with the idea... now I am confused how to manage my own time! hahaha... Clay has to be picked up from school at 3.30 PM while I have to take care of the competition from 1 PM! Each team has to get dressed and make up from 2 PM but some of the players still have to go to school until 3 PM *doh*Whatever will be... will be... hahaha... There are 16 performances, from 4 pm until 9 pm we will watch 16 Samsons and Delilahs... hahaha... each of them will perform 10 minutes, not more.... we'll have to use digital signage to tell the time when the 10 minutes is over and the drama will have to stop. As a committe member, I will be a timekeeper and will hit the GONG every 10 minutes.. hehehe Thanks God for B2P!! I came back from Tegal, middle Java, at 3 AM. It was a really tiring journey!Tegal was 5 hours driving from Bandung, we went by L300 Mitsubishi car at 8 AM. We had a Drama competition meeting in the car so the journey was quite effective. Our intention to go to Tegal was to play a drama over there, then went back home directly. Some of us spent a night there at a hotel, (so nice if we could find villa like St. Barts villa rentals), but I left my children at Bandung so I want to go home.The drama was performed well, the director was happy enough, most of all I hope my Big Daddy was pleased at our ministry. We went back home after 10 PM by bus and I hate bus very much! :-P I never slept well in the bus. I have tried hundreds sleep positions but fail to sleep... whooaaaaaa!!! The aircon made us freeze, you know I wore 3 layers of clothes and still freezing! I even wore my black legging (you know, stretch pants) outside my trouser LOL, like a mad lady. I told the driver that the aircon was too cold, he said he would have to change the aircon with the fan only... I agreed with him, but after a while it felt like we run out of oxygen in the bus.. hahaha..You can imagine how relieve I was when we reached Bandung at 2.30 AM!! Hurray!! I arrived home after 3 AM and went to sleep. I thank God for the bed, bolster and pillow (B2P)!! Hahaha.. so comfortable!!! Sleep like there is no tomorrow!! Help but Waste? Sometimes it's annoying to have someone who try to sell insurances. Not because the insurance is not important but my family is already covered by cheap term life insurance. I think the insurance agents should try to find someone who has no insurance yet and leave us alone. However, I often (several times) have to buy the insurance because those agents begged ask my hubby to help them...aaargggh.. some friends of mine has offered me too but I always can refuse them softly, because I really have been covered. Why should we buy several insurances? I think those are expenses, not investment. If we need to invest our money, don't invest it in insurances... what do you think? Drama...drama.... and drama.... These days I was busy on preparing the Samson and Delilah drama competition at church. My church has around 14 locations in Bandung, and many others out of town. There are 12-14 groups from our churches in Bandung and Jakarta will perform Samson and Delilah in many version and creativities. My church is a branch-church, we send one drama team. I help to make a script and direct the drama though I also a committee member of the competition. hehehe... it's ok, I am not a competition judge and I don't participate as a player... hehehehehe...This morning I browse internet to get resources about costumes, backgrounds and music, and I find a site about renaissance costumes, very interesting site! We can find many accessories, costumes, and even swords etc in the site... I love the Lords of the Rings' ring! :-DThis afternoon I have a rehearsal, and will have to show all the resources I got today. I can't tell you much about the drama yet, as I don't want other team to 'peep' in.. hehahaha... No, I will not spread the virus to you... (been lazy to blog) :-) I will try to keep my enthusiasm up... I feel a little bit down today, as someone said that the clip I made is not suitable and interesting enough to be presented. In fact, I was so excited and loved this clip very much, I think it's cool...it's the announcement of drama competition we hold at church the end of July. I was not prepared to hear the 'head of the committee' said the clip implicated that the drama competition is for teenagers only, using this clip the adults and elders at church will not interested in buying the tickets to watch the drama competitions... huaaaaaa... do you think so? That teenagers who took part in the shooting has been asking when the clip will be ready to be presented. Now the 'chief' is not agree to use them for the clip, what should I do? I think I will try to persuade her again and offer another clip for the next coming week (these clip will be presented at church every week - 3 Sundays until July 29) Johann Strauss Serial Movie... I've been searching and browsing about Johann Strauss Biography Movie today. When I was a kid, this serial was on TV and my parents loved to watch it. My dad even made a record on the betamax video tape. I was too young to watch until late at night that day, so I watched the series from the recorded tape instead.Now, Clay is learning to play Blue Danube on the piano, that makes me eager to watch the TV series again! Do you know about this? Did you happen to watch the film as well? I still can't get it from the youtube, amazon, and google...don't know the title at all... I am thinking of downloading or buying it online, my computer is already equipped by video cards ready to watch it! Talk About My Car.. I am a kind of wife who has to take care my own car by myself, from insurances, oil change schedule, check the wheels' air and tune it up regularly. My hubby is so busy that he doesn't have enough time to do many things at home. It is not a complaint *grin* I don't mind doing this because I have maids to help me with house chores anyway. I don't mean to be a superwoman who is able to do many things by myself either (let's talk about this interesting topic later).Back to the car, I use 2001 Toyota Kijang, just like minibus... and it uses solar fuel. It has been more than 2 years since I sent my car to the body repair service since I need the car every single day. And we can visit Goa Jepang (Japanese Cave). This cave was built by Japanese when they ruled Indonesia, in the world war 2.We only need 2 hours, went from home, enjoy the forest and went back home! Just nice!Really dark, can't see anything. We can rent the torch (Rp. 3000,-) and be guided into the cave for some locals there... But we didn't get into the cave, the children are scared of darkness..:-)
