Anyway, had the 2nd installment on 20th Jan, a day before the actual day! Together with my beloved Princesses! Went for a meal at Guo Fu, a chinese steamboat restaurant. The service is great and the food is fantastic! We had lots of fun catching up with each other over dinner! Everyone was super full from the steamboat dinner when the waitress bring out the birthday cake that Princess Peng and Princess Connie prepared beforehand! Super touch by their actions can! Us with the mini cake that we cannot finish! The ungrateful! Am super thankful to the organiser can! After dinner, we decided to try something which we have not done for a super long time! Bowling! Pose very nice right? But we are really lousy at the game. None of us got more than 100 points. Haha. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed ourselves! Received quite a few presents from this group of girls as well. My dear dear Princess Peng got me a bottle of Kenzo Amour and a pair of earrings from HK! Super nice can! Today is the first day of rebirth! It used to be a closed community. But now, good news is that CowBoyBar is now re-opened for membership registration for a limited period only. As much as I love my school, even though it is on the far end corner of Singapore, I cannot bear the thought of having to spend my whole December holidays in school! GIVE MY LIFE BACK TO ME!!! Am on the sports committee in for ISG and that makes me stay in school for 3 weeks! Every single weekday! Hais.. And all I have to do is to be there during the games to watch them play and cheer for them. What crap is that!! Wasting my beautiful holidays! IHG is so much better. At least it is doing something that I enjoy! Play softball! I am representing my hall for softball and I am super glad that I did. It was really a totally new sport for me and the experience is awesome! I get to know more friends from hall and get to know those seniors that I would otherwise never talk to before! Life is full of twists. You never know what you will give/receive the next moment if you do something, so I have learnt that I should grab hold of any opportunity that comes my way. So that I can live my life without regrets. I mean, it is kind of sad to look back 30 years later and say: Oh man, I wished that I had took part in IHG when I was in Year 1. Particularly this year, where so many changes took place. Finished my A’s, getting a job (which I tried quite a few), entering uni and moving out. With my close friends, which I do not have many, getting attached/single, I hardly have any time for them and vice versa. Though we know that each other is simply a phone call away, but truth is, are they? They have their own lives too. So, I realised that my blog is a good way of telling them how have I been and the going-ons in my life! Alone.. Went shopping alone today after classes ended. Time to relax my mind, after the heavy studying for the past 3 nights. Walked around aimlessly. Had my lunch alone. Suprise? The princess who refuses to eat at all if she has no company actually had lunch alone. Well, it’s time for a change and not be so pampered anymore. The feeling wasnt necessary great, but.. kind of soothing. Just being part of the crowd but not really part of it as.. It comprises of strangers afterall. Bought some stuff, but not satisfied. Main aim of getting a bag was not fulfilled. Bought heels and dress instead. =D Sat down with Bikey at McCafe and people-watch. Pretty ones, ugly ones, try-too-hard ones.. Honestly, what is wrong with these girls nowadays? Why can’t they accept what they are? Why must they try to be someone who they are not? Is it really because of the TV programs, or simply because of the environment that they are growing up in? Questions flow into my mind, but left without any answers. typical conversation with my uni friend.. Him: How’s your preparation? So far can you handle it? Me: Hopefully Him: y say tt? the veron I noe is very confident one ok Me: Reallie very stress! A lot to study! Esp BS 801! Exam next wed! Him: But are you within schedule? are you ok? Me: yah.. i’m fine.. within schedule? Me: what schedule? haha.. Him: your own schedule lor.. Me: I dont have one.. I study as and when I like.. which is at night only.. I think I am screwed. You know it is your lucky day when.. You got full marks on your quiz. You got 80% for another quiz which was done on the same day, different topic. You got those marks with only 1 day of intensive study for each subject. You get to go out of the island for dinner with a hunk! You get to enjoy halloween with your favourite girlfriend! =D Guy talk. Somehow, I always envy guys. Simple reason. They can simply hit it off with another guy using one topic. NS. There seems to be never-ending tales from those 2 years where they simply let their brains rot and rot. Left to the maggots to decompose. These guys of ours (in terms of Singapore, not my boyfriend!), they never seems to care about the feelings of the ladies beside them. They can just go on and on and on about those days in the field, or the office if they are one of the chao geng ones. Stories of haunted places, stories of heroic things they have done, stories of dumb bunk/platoon/company/whatever mates. The ladies are bored to tears with these tales of yours! Every guy we met will try to impress us with the same stories. I mean, come on, how many different tales of Tekong can you come up with right? I am grateful that you guys spent 2 yrs of your precious life learning how to defend the country, though some joker simply chao geng all the way. But, can you stop repeating those tales for the millionth time? It is really getting boring. Imagine, your female friends simply chat about the latest fashion/hunks on TV/cute guy on the street (okay, I had to admit, we simply gossip about everyone around us) in front of you and you have nothing else to do except to listen? WHAT WILL YOU DO!?! I bet you will just go crazy, else, you are just a himbo. =D This particular phenomenon (the army talk, not the bimbo talk!) is especially notices ever since I entered varsity. It could be because the guys have all went through NS and thus, find it the easiest topic to use to break the ice. But, after 3 months of knowing you and hearing all the 10001 tales you have, repeating them is simply intolerable. So guys, please know your limit. If you think that us girls are simply too bitchy, ie. gossiping/bitching about people all the time, do not make the same mistake of talking to us about NS all the time!
