"do your homework! study hard! learn to be responsible! eat your vegetables..its for your own good!" at that point whatever they were saying sounded like rubbish to us but now we should have known better.Lesson #3: "Family" is IMPORTANT.my sister and i stayed at grandma's most of the time mainly because school was nearer and parents were working. so when 5-6pm comes, its always exciting because we would wait and try to identify whoever that's coming by the sound of their footsteps. and no matter how late, mummy, aunties will all come back for dinner.weekends will almost always be nights out at shopping centres or somewhere! funfairs, pasar malams, Toys'R'Us..etc. and mornings, mama and gonggong will come pick us up and bring us for breakfast, send me to school so i dun have to leave without eating lunch...guess it all comes down to 'there will always be time for family' =)Lesson #4: Speak accurate hokkien.Hahaha....my hokkien still kindda sucks but its getting somewhere..i hope.Lesson #5: Dreams are meant to be chased and fulfilled.Look at mummy.
