Akward situation
Have you ever been in a situation where you bump into someone and wished that there was a pothole for you to drop in and hide yourself in? I mean for real, this afternoon, i was in a similar situation where i met someone whom i really hated. I just couldn't ask myself to face up to him. When i see this person, the memories of the past haunts me right thru'. My mind will start racing towards to the past and sad memories will surface once again. Maybe coz, i wasn't able to accept the fact that this person is a person after all and what he did to me or to the others and as a result his downfall as a senior management staff in this company.I really don't know how to put in words, its just that when i saw him, i immediately just felt smaller, hope that i was invisible or that like i said earlier on, a pothole will be just the right time for me to drop in and disappear....LOL.Funny human beings are, how we function, react to danger or to embarrassment. And in my case, i just couldn't find the courage to stand up to him. Maybe its the things that he did to me and it made me feel really small inside or its the fear factor that is making me feel this way towards him even though he is no longer my immediate boss. There is a word that says what goes around will come around, something in that manner of speech. He did things which later in life, maybe made him regret it, i hope so that he has learnt his lesson well, maybe painful but human being always have to feel the pinch before he learns his lesson, rite???Take me for example, I too, was in this situation before and i know once the mirror shatters, the relationship can never be the same as it used to be. The fun, laughter, joy all seem to disappear once and for all. Now, it seems to be what is left of it is only the human shelf or mask that we all wear each day, day in and day out. I'm tired at times, but i'm trying to made this relationship work for me and the others. How, i wish that this horrible nightmare has never even happened before, ever in my life, nothing in this life will i exchange for this relationship that i treasured but eventually, destroyed by me.You know what, while blogging this down, i felt better. Blogging does helps you vent out your frustrations, mood swings, sadness and blah blah blah...Now its raining cats and dogs tonight, i hope that tomorrow we will have bright sunshine in the morning, i guess after every episode of bad events, i just pray that tomorrow will be a better day for you and for me...LOL

Reason why i love batman?
I love Batman Begins, I love Batman Bale, in fact, i saw almost all of Batman's movies and those male actors whom were acting as Batman were really not that good as compared with Batman Bale. He has this uncanny feeling inside him which makes him good for this role as Batman. Especially in this movie where Batman Bale was supposed to give up his identity and announce to the world whom he really is at the press conference. I think i can see the pain that he can no longer become the object of fear that strikes in the hearts of men, in this case bad men of course. In Gotham city, such a hero is needed to uphold justice where the villians are. I felt sad that Rachel has to die in this movie. And hence, broke up the match between her and the local District Attorney. I felt that Rachel would have been a good match for Batman Bale reasons being she can at time knock back senses into him again when he is in despair, which it was quite evident in both of the two blockbuster movies. As for Joker, he did played his part well in The Dark Knight movie, he was sinister and played the role of the baddest villian well. He has this talent of persuading his victim to do what he says but of course with the help of his wits. LOL. Heath Ledger is a legendary baddie in this movie and i think everyone will agree with me and that he will always have a place in this Batman movie. I must say that its such a waste that Heath has to go, kudos to him again...

Come to me, my precious...
Finally after 12 hours of sleep...Without much hestitation...Without much worries whether i will ended up eating grass and treesWithout much pondering whether its right or wrong...Without much consulting my friends whether its nice on me or not?................I bought myself a Tiffany and Co Necklace but......not the piece that i shown you all in the picture in the earlier post. When i got to DFS, this lovely trainee was attending to me, she was asked by me to fetch this beautiful piece from the glass counter. When i put on the necklace and saw the reflection in the mirror, i told myself this was the ultimate piece of jewellery that i must have. After some deliberation, i decided to get this piece instead of the earlier piece that i saw, maybe, next round...Muahahahaha...........

Save money for Tiffany and Co necklace
Today, i was in a shopping mood and wanted to get myself something that could last me a life time...LOLInitially, wanted to settle down for a Burberry Wallet as my own wallet is already worn out. On checking the price, it was around the figure of $350 dollars. I thought over for a moment and decided to shop around and see if i can get something less expensive for a men's wallet.I roamed thru' Takashimaya and the store opposite of this place but couldn't find something lesser then i decided to hop down to DFS to see if they have a range of men's wallet for me to choose from. The ground floor of DFS was crowded as usual, especially the watch section. Foreigners love to shop in the DFS as its guaranteed meaning no fake are sold here and it seems like almost all up-market international brands can be found here. But today, i'm not a foreigner but a consumer wanting to buy for myself something out of the extraordinary and of course cheap as well. At first, when i entered the store, they were having 40% discounts for all their house brand names which i thought was a steal and maybe i could find something here. These few days, i have been quite interested in the silver brand name - Tiffany & Co. SB is also one of their favourite followers too. Some of our sales friend and colleague are sporting this apparel as well like their famous rings which when i did a check with the sales-staff it was around $400 dollars plus. For a damn ring, it costs so much...Xiao..., i thought to myself. If you are talking about a chain or a bracelet, i might reconsider paying for such an item. But who knows, maybe i will be crazy enough to part my hard-earned money for that...LOLThen i saw this beautiful 1837 loop pendant with a silver necklace which it was really quite nice, i must say. I had my eyes layed on this one and it costs around $345 dollars with no discounts available. I thought to myself, i will start saving enough money to come here to purchase this gift for myself but at the mean-time, if anyone of you folks are out there have discount card or something, do let me know....Muahahaha..........

Ranting for someone else...
I saw this news on the paper that mentioned about an old uncle whom works in a local coffee-shop washing dishes for the coffee-shop. He was dismissed or fired and reason being he drank coffee from another coffee-shop!Gosh, it really hit me and makes me thinking hard on this and it remained with me till now, which of coz, i translated it into here in my blog entry. Can you believe it that its still happening now in this era of time.I remembered that i was faced with such a dilemma when i was at my previous company, you can't even eat your lunch with your new found colleagues whom just joined our company, you are always on the edge thinking when you will be the next one being fired because of some minor issues that you have done in the course of your job! We were even made to sign some documents that we were not supposed to divulge to anyone outside of the organisation. We weren't even allowed also to meet up with colleagues whom has resigned from this organisation, but being staff, we didn't cared and continued to meet up with our ex-colleagues over a meal outside and jokes were shared across the table of this rather funny issues that the company demanded of its staff. This day when i saw this news from the paper, i was thinking about the kind of environment that i worked which was quite similar to that of the poor uncle that got sacked because of his drinking the competitor's coffee. I know that some companies do have an agreement with their staff that if they leave, they are not supposed to join their competitor for fear of losing vital information to them for a period of time, which was rather stupid and funny btw. LOL... If this is their rice bowl and their only profession is knowing their whole life doing this single thing, then i ask you, how???? Maybe, this will apply to very very very niche market out there....Anyway, sorri uncle, i can't help you much but at least i can help you to vent your frustrations out here la...~~~Went to see this movie - "Red Cliff" by Mr John Woo. Mr Woo has many films produced under his belt but this one was rather good, i must say...LOLGlad that i caught this movie which showed on how the past Chinese generals used their wits, wisdom and courage to fight a war against their enemies. War tactics were used frequently be it fought by the waters or on land.A good command of the natural environment, knows how to foresee the stars in the sky and a must in the knowledge of the war tactics are the advantages that a country or general will have when fighting a real war. War are deadly as it meant peasants, soldiers die in the midst of the war. Such a character was played by my favourite actor - Takeshi Kaneshiro or Jin Cheng Wu. He played this character well, i must say and he was full of wits and wisdom as well, playing the character of Mr Zhuge Liang, advisor and faithful friend of Liu Bei.The other characters were also really into the act too. This film has a good historical background and it spans over part 1 and 2. With part 1 gone and seen, i think the public will want to watch the other part 2 eagerly like me as well.Ok, i'm gonna watch The Dark Knight next and will update again...

Pager rantings
When i first got my pager, i was really happy and thought that it was a trend that is catching up and so everyone will have one either in their pocket or bag. Those days, when they first introduced the pagers into the consumer world, it was huge and bulky. In fact, it was black in colour and whenever someone pages you, the screen will light up and flashes the number of the person whom is paging you. The pager that i subscribed from Singtel had this additional benefit that it can also display Totos, 4Ds and many other messages as well. I think if i don't remember wrongly, you can instruct the Singtel operators to put in certain messages so that the other party can see it on their pager screens.Such was the services which you can subscribe to and during those days it was really fun to watch those messages rolling thru' in your pagers. Mine was a yellow smaller version which i bought and i even had a gold chain clip attached to the pager so that you can clip it onto your pocket and even if it drops out, it will not be gone. LOL...Because its so small, you can just slip it into your pockets of your jeans, shirt, pants...etc... and you don't feel the weight of it at all. Best of all, you can also switch it to silent mode if you are in a position of not wanting anything to disturb you in. It can even vibrate as well and any batteries which you can buy off the shelf to sustain its life, which is easily obtainable anywhere. I remember those days where cops, nurses, doctors and what else, depends on it and when it beeps, its time to head back to your office to attend to that urgent request made by your fellow men or colleagues. But at times, it can be frustrating. When you page and page, no one returns your call or when someone pages you, you call back, you are unable to get that person on the line again. At such moments of anger, you wish that you had a Tai Ko Tai aka Handphone to call that person right at the moment he or she pages you and get to it and not let you wondering whom has paged you and what was the business all about?Sometimes, it could be very urgent but you are unable to access to that person again! Another scenario, where you are in a public place and you want to contact a certain individual, how do you do that? You can only page for him, and he or she is unable to call you where you are and hence, you have to resort to asking your friend, colleague, family members to page that person and instruct from there. Hence, it really could be a hell of a challenge to do that...as i think back then...Things change, people change, technology changes as well...Nowadays, it is so affordable to have a Handphone and some even has 2-3 Handphones as well. It has all the features of a pager and you can make a call anytime you like. Erm...i think it has way overcome the necessity of having a pager now since its so convenient and cost effective and allows anyone to own a Handphone easily. I'm gonna miss my pager buddy from today onwards....Bye Bye Pager...

Cost going up rantings...
Today, my friend called me to enquire on how much it costs fora 3days and 2nights package to a nearby country.I told him its roughly around $300 plus excluding taxes. On checking theactual taxes for Thai Airways to Bangkok, it has risen from a mere $90 bucks to guesswhat $270 bucks.Holy cow.....How is anyone gonna afford to go holidaying now??? When fuelprices are going up and it seems like everything is going up, not justthe fuel itself.Recently, i heard that even our electricity bills are also going up as well! How is a poor Singaporean like me gonna withstand all these pressure and stressof living up to the standards of a normal Singaporean lifestyle or living standards, how???To make things worst, i had a conversation with my friend whom is suppose toinherit a parrot from her sister. She is telling me that if she were to bringover this parrot, who is gonna look after it when she eventually dies....Choy...rite??? Luckily, her son has agreed to look after it....Then, this revelation was revealed to me that my pet parrot will OUTLIVE ME....LOLAnd so outlive till how long??? Well, 3 generations down the road....Erm, I toldmy mum about it. I said to her the following morning, that our parrot can live for3 generations down the road, meaning she dies, i die and then my decendants willtake care of it...Muahahaha....Just can't believe that my parrot will outlive me and with all these costsall going up....HELP...........

Do you put on perfumes?
I do at times! Especially, if i know that i'm going for a special event, outing, dinner or whatever to calls for attention, i will spray some perfume on myself to look good and it sort of like helps one to carry him or herself up when talking to someone. This day, i was brought to this mini store by my working place with my colleague as she was wanting to replenish her stock of perfumes as well. She has been a staunch supporter of Bvlgari perfumes and she introduced the men's fragrances to me. At first, i wasn't paying attention to her but when i sniffed at the absorbent paper for the perfume, it really got my inner senses going...LOLIt cost me $30 dollars for this 100ml Bvlgari perfume and when i got to the office, i can't wait to open it up and spray some on. I wanted something that is long-lasting and this perfume really stayed on me till now...LOLEven SB is also using this brand of perfume, and so i think its well worth the money to invest in this bottle of perfume. Ok, bye for now, time to on my PSP game...

Food and KTV for my 2nd date...
with SZ. I had wanted to try this restaurant at Paradiz Centre by the name of JuJu Hokkaido Hot Pot. I've tried the other restaurant next to it and before going back i took a namecard of this particular restaurant and promised myself that one day i will drop by its steamboat meal. Now, i finally had the chance to drop with my date in this particular restaurant. Restaurant staff was ever so polite and introduced their menu to us. By the time, we sat down, there were only 3-4 tables but the time it was 7pm, the whole restaurant is already full to the brim.SZ ordered the clear soup as the base of the steamboat while i chose the creamy milk as the soup base. I was abit disappointed as it was rather creamy and the soup base is like Fishhead Meehoon soup base but not that tasty though... Next, we ordered our main course, as SZ doesn't eat beef and mutton, we order the Seafood platter and chicken and pork platter. When, the food arrived, we were rather astonished by the amount of food that was served, the portions do look big but on careful observation, the raw meat & seafood is actually alleviated up by vegetables that are carefully hidden below the meat to give the feeling of overwhelming full of meat effect! But we still managed to finish the food that was served on the table. We had our dessert and had wanted to chat abit but the restaurant supervisor came over to kindly ask whether we could let him have the table as there are other guest also waiting for the table. I guess it was alright for him to request that we let our table since we have already finished our food and dessert. My honest comment is that this steamboat meal is really not filling as when i reached home after our KTV session and is blogging now, i can feel that my stomach is growling for some food. But i think, i will not yearn to temptation and will quickly sleep after my blogging...LOLAlthough, the supervisor requested us to vacant the table, he did gave us a small discount of 10% which is $5.96 as a goodwill. I appreciated that and what he has done for us. But i guess, this will be my first and last time to eat at this restaurant as its quite expensive, which i thought we could had had a better meal somewhere else and much filling as well...LOLOkay, enough of the restaurant plight. We proceeded to our KTV session which is opposite of the restaurant near Prinsep St, which my dear Mrs Tea has recommended. I must say, the ambience is okay, its small while it can hold around 10 over table inside the KTV Pub. I think its the only KTV Pub in this area and its really pretty easy to find.We both had a drink and it costs us only $20 bucks. It was really worth it coz we really sang to our hearts content...LOL. The only problem is that we the patrons would have to walk over to the PC to choose our songs rather than the generic kind where you put down the songs which you want on a piece of paper and pass it to the waiter. No matter how big your group is, each table is entitled to 2 songs which is one thing i like about. Some KTV Pub will depend on the number of patrons coming into the pub and then allocate that number of songs which that table can sing...However, the songs which i wanted is all on the PC, and it is just a click away to get that song which you want to sing.SZ wanted to settle the bill for this KTV Pub, i told her the next round of food and KTV will be on her...I specifically requested that it must be a very big restaurant...Hahaha...Ok, time to drool....PS - BTW, i got this cute keychain from SZ which is from her recent Canada trip.

Its a secret....
So Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........................................................I'm actually teddy bear fetish..., i collect all kinds of teddy bears as long as they are cute, cuddly and adorable.Me and my Star Cruise Teddy Bear which i bought it during my last fam trip onboard Star Cruise, it is such a adorable bear....That particular day, i was sharing with my new colleague on my this teddy bear fetish hobby and she revealed that she was doing some house-keeping and was just wondering whom to give to those two pairs of teddy bears coz' her kids don't fancy teddy bears and she is trying to find someone to take over them. When i first saw them, they were really quite cute and adorable. They come in pairs, the 1st pair is orange in colour and the 2nd pair is in white and light brown. I quickly took them home today after-work and intending to post a blog entry on these bears as well.Actually, whenever, i set my eyes on any teddy bears, i will usually buy them back and carefully place them in my cupboard. Now my cupboard are full of cute teddy bears. Maybe, when i grow old, i will sell them myself in a flea-market. LOL...Ok, time to show you those cute teddy bears:

Is this my lucky day or what?
This day, i was invited to a road show at Carlton Hotel hosted by my Bali Operator. The program highlights included lucky draws from Garuda Indonesia Airlines, Singapore Airlines and the various resorts also threw in 3D2N stays in their respective resorts too.In between, there were lucky draws done up which i guess is to make participants to stay back and mingle with the resort sales and marketing reps and get to know more on their resorts as well. Garuda Indonesia gave out airline models, duffel bags, trolley bags as well and SQ did the same thing. As i have mentioned above, some of the resorts gave out room stays with breakfast and city tours as well. I was hoping so much to win some airline models from Garuda and even SQ but i didn't have that kind of luck with me that moment in time! However, Woohoo, i did had the best of luck, i guess, to have won the 3Days 2Nights stay at the beautiful Komaneka Resort , i did had this thought of visiting this resort if i ever set foot in Bali but i never expected myself to win this resort accommodation. And, it was even the last prize of the day when i won this. LOL...The resort have three types of room accommodation - Deluxe, Suite Room and Pool Villa. I guess, i will be given the opportunity to view the other type of rooms. Erm, on the voucher, it didn't state what type of rooms that i have won for myself but i guess, it should be the lowest category - the Deluxe Room.My voucher ends next year March 2009, and since i have been to Bali, Indonesia, if ANYONE is interested, i'm willing to sell it at a very negotiable rate. It consists of a 3D2N Accommodation, Daily Breakfast, Half Day City Tour with dinner. PS - This excludes airfare and transfer, you'll have to buy them yourself. But if you want, i can always arrange it for you since i'm a travel agent myself (WINK)...BUT, if no one is interested, i might go there myself and explore the UBUD area. UBUD to the local Balinese are remedy to the spiritual self. Hence, i'm gonna find the remedy to my spiritual self again (just joking)...Besides, their SPA treatments looks tempting as well but a little bit expensive. And , my gosh, its all in US dollar as well. Haiz, my wallet is gonna burst again....Help...My colleague won herself a 3D2N stay at this nice 5star resort called the The Oasis Kuta . This very fine resort is located in the Kuta area and its so nice that it even has a "Olympic" kind of swimming pool inside this resort as well. Hmmmmm, i must say "very nice indeed".Another resort by the name of Hotel Bali Padma has invited the travel agents themselves to come and feel the warmth of what this 5star resort has to offer! So tempting.....i want to go, who want to go with me???LOL... The offer from them is valid from OCT till DEC 2008 and maybe, i'm just saying maybe, i will combine this offer with mine.....GOOD GOSH....5D4N 5star accommodation...............here i come....LOLLastly, each participant has a goodie bag to bring back home office. It really contains brochures of the various resorts whom were in this road show. Now, to show you all my goodie bag:

My first date, i think?
How do i describe it to you folks out there? I think this fate thing is really strange, it comes when you least expected it and goes when you thought that you finally have it in your palms. This day (Saturday, 28/6/08) marked our first ever single date together, me and this lady. I shall nickname her JG, as JT is someone whom is in the office, whom i hated, so i'm gonna name her this.I made the move first and smsed her on this unexpected meeting, coz JUL onwards, seriously will be a very busy six months for me. Tons and tons of travel road shows, fairs, etc etc....I met her through my God-sister and this is really our first meeting together. God-sister wanted to meet up with both of us but its really busy for my God-sister and myself and hence, we missed up some opportunities to meet up.We arranged to meet up at around 2.30pm at Taka Starbucks coffee and stayed there to chitchat and talk about our interest, likes and dislikes, her work and my work, hobbies and stuff like that. Talking for about 1.5hrs and we went off shopping together. She likes KTV and one day, we are going for a KTV session together. She was wearing this black-top and bright coloured shorts and at first glance, you would think that she has just been to the beach. But no, she was just back from her physio work-out (she twisted her foot, while holidaying in Canada) at a hospital and met up with me. I really can't tell you what is my first impression of her??? She is the same height as me and when i took this photo of us together, at first, she was reluctant but gradually, relented. Coz she complained that she does not have any make-up on! I told her its fine and this will be in my blog entries. (Evil Grin...)Anyway, i quickly snapped this photo of us together before she changed her mind. Now, when i look back at this photo which i took, i think we are quite compatible in the photo that we took but in reality, i really can't tell, only time can tell!!! So , i'm gonna give ourselves a chance to see if we can really be together. Never try, never know...Later when i left for my next appointment, she smsed me : Thanks for e b'day gift. Hope 2 mit up w u again when u r free...I : Sure...(Cruel rite, Muahahahah!!!)PS - I gave her a cloth stitched bag and wished her a belated birthday when i met up with her.JG and me camwhoringMy next appointment was to be at a Bishan Shelter, where the church is planning a campaign to East Malaysia or has already planted a program there and it seems to be taking roots there too.First, we feasted on some really good Nyonya Dinner which disclosed by one of the members there is $12/head, while they only do 30pax and above. There are 4 serving trays and a tub of rice plus you can't get your hands off Nyonya Kuehs - my all-time favourite tea snacks. All of us really enjoyed the food and i even took home the number to call, just in case you folks would like to try them, here they are : Teck Neo Pineapple Tarts : HP 9832 3593. You folks may be asking why its Pineapple Tarts store, i guess this could be a side line that these caterers are doing or maybe just using this company's name only.I don't have the names of all these 3 types of Nyonya Kuehs , but it really tasted heavenly, just looking at those pictures i snapped will made anyone drool rite???LOLThere were so much, that we couldn't even finish and some of us even Tabao or pack back to bring back home. I didn't coz its really troublesome, but my church folks brought back some and this sunday afternoon while we were having a monthly church prayer meeting, they brought the whole tub of leftovers from yesterday and we had additional liao or dishes to go with our packed lunch.Hmmmmm, they still taste good even though after a night, just warm them up and it seems like yesterday's food. LOL.Will definitely give them a call next time when we have a function or event...LOL Oh, tonight, CH 5 is showing The Witch, the Lion and the Wardrobe, Narnia Movie, if you haven't watched it on the big screen before now its time to catch it...I will definitely be glued to my seat watching this Narnia Show.Nyonya KuehNonya KuehNonya Kueh

Oh, no...its starting all over again...
and guess what, i could be down with the flu again. Aiyah, must be my new IT guy whom has just settled in and must have been passing the flu viruses around. Hate it, when i get this flu thing. It causes a person to feel lousy, heated up inside like you are on fire or something, feel tired also, cannot concentrate. The worst thing is that you keep on rubbing your nose and blowing out the mucus and your nose seems to be falling off, red and swollen as well because of the rubbing. Oh, well, time to stock up the VIT C in my body again...(Full dose, i think this time, LOL)@@@Who loves Jiao Zhi or dumpling, well, I do and so does my mum! Especially, the ones where you bring out from the freezer and boil a pot of boiling water and add in those freezed dumplings. Then you cook them in the boiling water until they are soft and add in some oil as well. The oil is to make them not to stick to the pot or stick to each other. I will continue to stir them in the hot boiling water until they are cooked and fish them out.Cut some ginger slices if you like or pour some vinegar or "Chu" to act as the dip. Before you put those tempting white soft dumplings into your mouth, i know - i'm also drooling now... dip those into the above sauce and put it into your mouth. Now, bite into the skin and feel the texture of the meat fillings and Jiu Chai or green vegetables that are mixed together with the meat for the filling of the dumpling.I got 20 in a packet for $4.20 and i got two packs stowed in my freezer, guess, i'll have dumplings for my lunch tomorrow just like SB too...(Winks) Bought them over at a chinese restaurant while having our lunch there this afternoon. SB recommended that its pretty good and hence, i bought them to try it out. But if its not nice, i know who to go after.....Muahahaha, money back or else???Okay, off to see my new episode of "Ghost Whisperer" which is starting every friday night at 10pm sharp. I never miss their episode when they are aired in Singapore. I always liked Ghost stories and movies... And when they came along, i watched every episode of it....Okay, bye for now...

Money, money, money...
My dad passed me some Indonesian money that he wanted me to check out how much its worth. I asked SB as she is a Indonesian and will really know how much its worth, upon examining the money and whipping out her calculator, she announces happily that it is worth $1.60 SIN dollars. Its 10,000 Indonesian Rupiah to SIN 1.60.SB commented that this 10,000 Rupiah can pay for her father's carparking fees back home...@@@SB came walking to me this afternoon...SB : Hey, should i budget for 11 pax or should i leave a buffer in case there is a spoilt seat inside the bus?Me : "Hello and feel like knocking some sense into her" LOOK, you mean you can forsee what is gonna happen in the future izzit?SB : "Got a shock of her life" LOOK, sori, knew that she had given a stupid answer!Me : Just budget the 11 pax and remember to budget for your TL as well.SB : I know lah...and quickly scrabbles away...Immediately, she turns away and hits a nearby board just the right height to her chest. Awwwwww....., shrieks SB...Me : Saying out loud, it must hurt SB, and i'm gonna post that in my blog....Muahahaha......

A stroke of luck, i hope...
This morning has been a gloomy morning with a early morning showers at Woodlands at around 5plus in the morning... I woke up and closed my windows coz the rain will get into my room if i don't. Hence, i was thinking to myself - How nice to just snuggle in my warm bed and sleep till like there is no tomorrow! Or How nice to just not wake up early in the morning to go to Church and watch my favourite TV show! I hope i don't get strike by lightning...LOL...Anyway, after church, i had wanted to go to my friend's place to upload some more PSP games into my memory stick which has around 500 plus of MB space. Before, i went, i had this strange feeling of wanting to try out this unusual key that was hanging around inside the drawer where i used to keep my post box keys which i had lost it a few days ago. After downloading those games, came back and tried the key. Woohoo, it did fit in and i managed to pull out a bundle of letters...Apparently, someone took out the key holder which was attached to this key and didn't inform that he is taking it away for his own private usage. Haiz, very irresponsible person... and luckily, i did not go and get someone to come and open up the letter box and fix it with a new lock which will cost around $50-$80. Good Gracious...Maybe, my luck is finished, coz next thing, i received a call from my office this afternoon during lunch time. They informed me that a counter staff has assumed that this certain resort in Bali is located in Nusa Area. Now, if you have your geography right, there are many beach areas in Bali and many resorts located at different beaches. The popular ones are in Kuta area and the rest follows. Nusa is a quiet beach area and mostly people go there for a quiet time and normally, those resorts located around these areas are also 4star and above categories. There apparently has been a miscommunication amongst a few parties here and i told my counter that the best i can do is to wait till tomorrow and i will follow-up with a call to the SIN rep and hopefully, he can help settle this matter, coz its not the fault of the operator concerned. Well, that will have to wait till tomorrow, and lets hope that my operator can and will do something about it!Maybe, i should rub more from this Laughing Buddha to get more luck...LOL@@@I'm not a particular fan of Adam Sandler but this movie entitled "You don't mess with the Zohan" was one movie that i couldn't give a miss! Adam Sandler aka Zohan wanted to become a hairstylist and tries to learn from magazines of Paul Mitchell, already a well-known Israeli counter terrorist expert in his own right, decides to call it a day and flew off to New York. Here you will find his own brand of unusual hair cutting and styling techniques which will definitely rock you laughing out of your seats. Well, if you are looking for a movie to cheer you up, this is the movie to watch....But beware, some RA parts if you are bringing your children along...

My new friend
This day, i've a new friend whom i'm just itching dying to introduce to you online folks. She is Ms xxx (she made me promise not to show her real name) but from now on, i'm gonna give her a new nickname called SB. SB is a Indonesian Chinese meaning she is very rich and one of her bags cost her around $200 plus and she has a few other shades of that same bag too...(xiao, crazy lady...)Anyway, i'm always teasing her lah...coz she is so alone by the corner of the room and if she doesn't made any noise, colleagues thinks that she is not around at all. I must admit that when i saw her at first, i thought that she is quiet and demure and gentle like a dove. But hell has no fury like a angry women, she can be tough at times loh... and she even gulps her drinks down her throat, making that horrible noise when you gulp your drinks down in big volumes. Hey, i told her one day while she was doing that, "YOU ARE A GAL, BEHAVE LIKE ONE". She then scolds me that i'm a MCP. I retaliated and reminded her that i'm a MCM meaning Male Chauvinist Men...LOLAnyway, today, she looks quite cute in her Green T-shirt bearing the Mario and his Yoshi pal dino. Gosh, how could she be wearing green....and her Adidas Watch is also in green strap too...Ok, just want to intro my friend to all of you. And btw, she does have a Xanga blog but no time to update, once she really starts updating it, i will post her link in my blogroll. The Mario on Yoshi the dino Green t-shirtMy friend - SBPS - Can someone tell her that she has a very very untidy work station. Discreetly please....
Remember my earlier post where my colleague was asked to go to a funeral wake... Well, this morning when she came, i asked her whether she has gone to the wake? And yes, she did go, although the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak - For goodness sake...Colleague came later and asked whether i want to go and watch the "Kungfu Panda", [Knock Knock...last minute thing, look at her], if you have told me earlier, i will go loh..., i told her i will be going for a KTV tomorrow and later learnt that she is also a KTV goer...Erm...maybe next time, i will entertain her lah...in the meantime, looking forward to this KTV session with my counter colleagues...@@@My friend - Peregrine Online has applied for a visa to go into China for some visitation along with her nephews. Normally, this day if you are a Singaporean, you are allowed a 14day free visit without a visa requirement, but now, you will need to apply for a visa just to visit China. However, once the Olympics is over, the China government will review this policy again...Meantime, i will pray for them to be able to get their visa approved. Cross our fingers...@@@This day, HKG Disneyland Representative came to pay my company a visit and is trying to learn what they can about our company's perspective and goals for HKG Disneyland in particular. They hope to help us in term of driving sales to HKG Disneyland and has proposed to come and give us a hand in training our staff and probably throw in a dinner and some goodies to give away during their in-house presentation. I thought it was a marvelous idea to re-train our staff on this aspect coz they really should brush up their knowledge on HKG Disneyland.I brought them to visit my sales centre and my other colleagues at the counter too. In the midst of finishing our in-formal introductions, the HKG rep gave me a Disneyland gift. It is a thumb drive with Disneyland motiffs all over its silver shiny body. The fact that they gave me a gift shows their appreciation for what i have done...But it was rather inappropriate to give me in-front of my other colleagues, i rather wished that they did it discreetly though!I heard that it could be a collector's item as well. Erm....then i won't use it, i may sell it when i set up my own Garang Guni Store (2nd hand store) when i get old...LOL Here are the photos... Yay, going to watch U don't mess with Zohan movie later...PS - However, if anyone of you want to bid for a high price, let me know.....Muahahaha...

It should be fun...I had a pair of tickets to see the "Sex and the City" movie, but as i have already seen them, i decided to pass it to my colleague above, but she too has seen the movie... In the end, i gave them to one of my counter colleague whom was dying to see this movie..., hmmm, good karma to earn by giving my tickets away before they are wasted away...@@@I just paid out of my own pocket for some house maintenance. Father to Son
This day, i was traveling back from town and was boarding the feeder bus back to my place. I was sitting on my seat and diagonally, there sat a sikh gentlemen. Now next to this sikh gentlemen sat an older sikh. Obviously, they had the same features and look father and son to me. This younger sikh is more trendy and hip and is sporting a black up-to-date sunglasses by the brand of Ray Ban and is holding a HTC handphone too. The older version of the sikh is happy carrying his granddaughter and is sporting the older version of the brand of Ray Ban. After observing these two father and son, it brought me a smile. Fashion taste are also passed down from father to son...LOL. PS - i have nothing against Sikh men...

My Friday Randomness...
Caution this is gonna be a lengthy post…LOLI saw this movie sponsored by Nuffnang Singapore to watch the Shaolin Gal. Shaolin Gal Rui is quite pretty with big eyes and sharp features which will most probably steal any men’s heart and that included myself in. The story line goes where Ms Rui came back from her Shaolin Kungfu training and were ready to take over her grandpa’s Kungfu training school when all she found is a tattered and torn down place. Thru thick and thin Rui’s friends came to built up this school but at the end of the day is destroyed by the bad guys. Morale of the story – Who don’t need friends, everyone needs them, especially when you are alone and down, friends can cheer you up and you are on the road again, isn't it so true????Anyway, there are really a few cute babes pulling this act together and if you are in for Japanese movies, then this movie is for you!@@@Okay enough of movies, as I recently bought myself a Gucci Bag (OMG, not again on the bag issue, Mister, can we move on???), I have been surfing the web for any information concerning branded bags and I found a perfect website for my recent craze – introducing the Purse Blog. The lady behind this blog is a very up-to-date bag enthusiastic person and searches the branded bags to intro to everyone on the latest style and fashion that there could ever be. Of lately, there were this legal issue on eBay where there are concerns on should eBay be responsible for goods being sold and bought at the site, particularly faked ones. You can see this Hermes Faked Bag scam here . Hence, I thought it was quite a informative website for everyone to enjoy and maybe find that dream branded bag that you have been craving for and hopefully, it could be cheaper from their online recommendations. I was just browsing their site and looking under the tote section that I chanced upon this Zac Posen DHL Tote . It is in bright red and best of all, buyers whom buys this model gets to donate those money into a teachers fund. So, what great ways to buy a bag that you like and at the same time, do some good karma in return, two in one…LOL I quote this while browsing some online site on bags, it says : Backpacks are child bags, not MEN BAGS, NOW...I’m gonna go thru’ all my bags and throw them out – those backpacks…LOL.......ANYONE LELONG…………………@@@Have this ever happened to you??? That you never saved a document and then…..something happens and you regretted that you never saved it, be it word/excel documents, contact numbers which you really want to remember not that the other numbers aren’t important, I think mostly it deals with the IT side of things. These few weeks, I have been hooked with my PSP and there was this path which I took and when I met those damn monsters, I was killed during a battle with them, I got to start all over again….Heck, I forgot to save the earlier entry……Roar….Argh…. Must start all over again, gosh, its a RPG game……How could this ever happen to me???@@@I was dining with my god-sister when she shared with me on her daughters encounters in school. You should well remember the Sichuan Earthquake where our Citizens donated money in every corner and even TCS actor and actresses also chip in to help with raising funds for them. Something happened in my god-sister daughter’s school, that made me ponder….You see, there were some Chinese national students around my god-sister daughters age and one day, she chanced upon a group of them shaking their heads while passing by the donation box to Sichuan Folks. Daughter asked, why didn’t they donate and why shaking their head? Chinese students replied, Why, didn’t you all check, China needs Expertise and not funds. We need expertise, modern day equipments to save those poor victims trapped beneath and not funds. Makes sense… Now my god-sister’s husband works as a banker and he too, had the same sentiments that China has tons and tons of money and really, money is nothing to them, but EXPERTISE AND MODERN-DAY TECHNOLOGY…, hey, I want my money back……….just joking, don’t sent me hate-mails, OK! Just some observances!!!PS – While, logging into my Yahoo mail, saw this disturbing news : Misuse of Relief Funds! OMG….. knew this was coming, too much $$$ is tempting….isn’t it???@@@Its gonna be Fathers Day this coming weekend, have you got yourself ready a gift for him??? I didn’t though, which I have to be honest but I’m doing some other things for him to make him happy on Fathers Day.I was wondering what gifts to buy him and thus I came out with some suggestions in mind:4) A bag for him, erm… I didn’t think that this is a good option for him. You see, I have never seen my dad with any or carry any bags at all in his whole life. He is just not that kind of person to be carrying a bag be it a child’s bag – Backpack or a mens bag. Hence, this option is out!3) A pen for him, erm…. I didn’t think that this is a good option for him either. Yes, I must admit that its something essential in everyone’s life coz you need a pen to write or pen down messages but something more very important - he needs pen to colour the number that he wishes to buy for his 4-D or lottery. But, I’m not gonna give him a pen and wishes that he stops gambling altogether. Hence, this option is also out!2) A Shirt for him, erm… I didn’t think that this is a good option for him as well. You see, the shirts that he wear, he wears them until they are torned. I guess this traditional method is observed by all whom saves and doesn’t spends a penny at all! Or another word for them – Mao / cat! Anyway, this option is also out, coz we bought him a few shirts late last year. Muahahah!1) I think………….My dad would really prefer to have this babe! It can be in many different colours and as long as it has four wheels and moves. He like many other men in my family like cars. I guess its a men’s toy when it comes to cars and soon I, too will be taking my license as well. He drove when we were younger and would ferry us, children to school in the morning, but he sold his car and hence, have been driving lorries as his livelihood. I’m sorry, dad, I really can’t afford this...............BUT, I CAN afford this…….......a SEAFOOD MEAL..........or a Fruits Platter, that’s a nice change for a healthy meal….Muahahahah.......PS – BTW, HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO ALL FATHERS…

My mum homemade Rice Dumpling or Ba Zang
BeforeAfterLast Sunday was actually the Duan Wu Jie or Chu Wu where all the chinese will gather either in a family or on their own making rice dumplings. They wrap this delicious glutinous rice with fillings, like pork, dried shrimps, mushrooms and many other things. It really depends on the families taste and as for us, my mum will usually wrap the salty type which if you were to put in the fridge, you can keep it quite long and it still tastes the same. Where can you find such good snack of course in your own house lah...LOL. My mum wrap around 40, now only left below 10 pieces only, aiyo so fast and furious boy...our appetite.

My customer service experience at Gucci Store
My Gucci ToteHi Everyone, its me again showing off my Gucci Tote again....(Xiao Dabo). Aiya, i'm happy that i could afford a Gucci Bag and so blogging about it again. Muahahahaha...Actually, half of that is true but the other half is about the Gucci Service standards down at Takashimaya store really irks me and i'm gonna blog about this here in my blog. I hope Gucci management is seeing this and realise what i'm talking about and act on it, although, maybe they wouldn't even bother to do so...I was at the boutique in the late afternoon, entered the Gucci Taka store and started browsing thru' the store items. My eyes trailed to the luggages area where i immediately knew that this tote is for me. Signalled to the sales lady in short hair to come over to service me. I asked her whether there is any discount for this range of product but was answered back that the sale items are in the middle section of the store. Wah, real ugly pieces, no wonder nobody buys them or ignores them...Next, i told the sales lady to get me a new piece which she readily went into the storeroom to fetch for me. NOW is the damn part:Sales lady came walking out of the storeroom without the new tote but shouts across the store to this guy manning the discount counter on where did he kept those totes? Mr sales guy came walking over and without thinking blurted out : Who is buying in mandarin? I the customer was sitting at the sofa area where customers were trying out their high-heels. I was shocked and didn't know what to say? Finally, both of them brought out the tote and i inspected it, paid for it and left. My goodness, what a service!!! NO wonder Mr David Gan in his blog about his Hermes boutique experience. The one that is near his place - Liat Towers which is walking distance for him, treats him like a sore but the one at Taka gave him a good customer service experience he never forgets and hence he blogs out it. I could never compare with him, his Hermes Lindy Bag cost him $11,700 dollars....WAH..., which even in my life-time i would not be able to achieve it...BUT........I'm still happy coz i got my very own Gucci Tote...

A Gucci Classic Two in One Tote
This day, i saw this movie and guess which movie this short conversation came from?Louis : Here, a X'mas present for you before i head back to LousianaCarrie : Oh, you shouldn't have. If i have known that we are gift exchanging? Walks up to her bed and retrieves the box and passed it to Louis.Louis : "Astonished and can't believe her eyes" LV, now i don't have to go renting one anymore...Woohoo!Sorry, there are some i added in myself, but the Geeze of it is there...Carrie gave Louis a LV and i gave myself a Gucci. Hahaha...so coincidence, don't you think? You might be thinking what is this guy talking about? You see, i bought myself a advanced birthday present for myself. I bought myself a Gucci Tote and it really cost me a bombalot and believe me, this is by far the most expensive bag i've bought myself over the years...Now, the first expensive bag which i bought with the money i got from my first bonus ended up buying a "Polo Ralph" Bag. It cost me around $600 plus dollars and i still have it with me till now. The bad point when you are buying this brand, its not completely leather and it weighs a ton especially if you have lots of things you need to carry, and hence i've not taken this bag to use for a while now, stored in my cabinet and once in a while, i will take it out and clean it and thats about it!My second bag came in late last year, i bought it over at Isetan Orchard by the brand of "Calvin Klein" tote. Its a black classic and i even took it during my last trip and because its a tote, it has a large compartment inside of it and many other small compartment as well to contain whatever items you may want to bring along which you didn't want to chuck it inside your check-in luggages. I spent around $300 plus for this bag and i saved abit as well as it was during a sales that i bought it. This Gucci Tote which i bought just yesterday was spacious as well on the inside. I bought it over at Gucci Taka. I went over to the newly face-lift Paragon Shopping Centre, but there was a long queue already forming. Hence, i went over to the one at Taka. Actually frankly speaking, i have been longing to have a branded name bag for the longest time and believe it or not, i'm a bag fetish person, when i see one that i like, i just cannot resist and will long to have that. And hence, i have a mountain of bags, small, medium and big ones. Now i have this liking for Tote and i'm starting to collect them. While shopping, i was also lured by the brand name of Bally as well. My friends were using this brand and i kinda of like this brand too. I pop in to have a look but the tote that i saw didn't catch my eye. I think LV is too flashy and colourful and it just isn't my kind of style and i think it should be well off my budget. Hence, finally, i settled for a Gucci. When i saw their classic range of Totes, i fell in love with this one that i bought, although it doesn't come with any discounts, its what you pay for. Meaning to say that, this range will not go out of style and fashion and its worth while to invest in it. Thats my thinking...Muahahaha... I really like items be it accessories, furnitures, etc, etc... to be classics or timeless or evergreen, but it comes at a high price.I shall not dwell on how much i paid for it but if you are a Gucci lover, you'll know how much to expect to pay for one. This by far, is the most expensive one that i bought, this even comes with a one year warranty for their zips as well. The tote that i bought comes with a hidden strap as well, and this style which i was hunting for wasn't available for other brands which i've searched. Hence, if you go shopping and feels that the bag is over-weight, you can always switch to the strap and carry it the other way. I like something that is two in one and hence, this tote fits nicely into what i was looking for. Okay, enough of self-justification for a high-end tote.

Friday was a blast, i think
So many things happened to me this day on a Friday and has to be on a Friday! Haiz.Bad energy starts this morning...Bad day at work - My boss was superactive and crazy too. Complains that i talk back to her, should not learn from the others (their bad attitude in work), should think thoroughly more, works more than me and lastly to add insult to my ego... Heh, i work more hours than you on the weekends, i should have replied to her, you wanted me to go back home, you have just been promoted hence of course the boss will expect you to put in even more hours rite??? Haiz..., finally, i said to her...i will keep my gap shut and not talk at all then i will not talk back to her....and ends this evening....I went to have this fusion dinner at Tao's Restaurant at Paradiz Centre, never knew that they have such a nice place tucked in this place which is actually renovating now. Pretty nice fusion food which cost us a hefty sum of $70 odd sin dollars. Its a 7-course dinner and hence that amount. It starts with your salad, follow entree, main course and then dessert, it comes with your desired drinks of course. The ambiance or atmosphere is so so... but if you don't make a reservation earlier, you might have to queue abit before its your turn, hence let your fingers do the walking (dial their number and reserve) Next round, we are gonna try their Hokkaido Hot Pot which is just next door only, opened by the same boss. Heard that this boss created these dishes himself though... Have a go yourself...Toasted Bread Cheese covered meat sauce to go with your breadMushrooms Fruit SaladIced Summer Peach DrinkSharks Fin SoupMain Course : Over baked medium Steak Dessert : Sweet Poached Pear We finished our meal and head over to a Party World KTV for karaoke, aiyo....the mike is hopeless....I hope the management reads this, coz this time round the standards have dropped and we will not be going there anymore. Usually, my friend and I will sing at the Hall area, coz I feel that its too costly to sing in a room and its just two of us, its a waste of money. Too bad.... Hey, anyone have good recommendation of a KTV joint that has a hall area for singing, i want to KTV hop...After the KTV which is around 1plus, we took a cab back and end of my busy and hectic friday...

Am I getting old?
Remember when i was sick and i've blogged about it, it was really a terrible experience to share with. After that course of illness, i had this stomach flu where the viruses has spread upwards towards my throat and chest. It was a painful experience as i could feel the pain when i turn my neck. These days, when i climb or going down the staircase, i could feel the pain in my knees. Is these signs of old age???Haiz, no wonder, my body was not able to resist such a illness like the one i've described above, i remember specifically that i didn't have such a bad experience before when i contracted such a stomach virus and i must say this kind of experience is where one is to avoid it as much as possible!I guess old age has its good and bad points lah. But i remember once that my friend told me that the Ang Mohs westerns when they have reached the age of retirement, this is their time of so called "Golden Age" where they can go and achieve their dreams. Doing things which they would have wished that they will be able to do so but can't. Now, in their retirement, they can do things at their will. But for us Asians, its really retirement age...We complain that we are old and feeble and always on our lips : "You xin, li bu zhu". Translated, it means the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Maybe, we should look at our counterparts and learn from them that its not the end of the road but a new chapter or beginning in their retirement life. Talking about old age, i had a colleague whom is now 55 yrs old, male and still working and healthy as well. He was asked to lead a tour to US but he told his boss that the long overhaul journey will be a killer and hence refused to lead this tour. When i learnt of it, i told my immediate boss and she told me this. When you are old already then go lah... Erm....when i old already, where got the strength to walk up and down and flying for such a long journey to US!!! Ooooops, i forgot we should learn from our counterparts. LOL....:D

Someone nominated me...
to be the Best Photo Blog (stands one side and laughing out loud)! I'm thrilled and don't know what to say, speechless i guess, LOL. Today it came as a surprise from my good friend at Comiqs.com when he sent me a email stating that he would like to nominate me and another guy as the Best Photo Blog. (So paiseh lah...) Anyway, i guess like what my other friend - Leonard has commented, its better for someone to nominate us than we go nominate ourselves. Borrowing from the chinese saying "Mai Hua Zhan Hua Xiang". A big thank you to Comiqs.com...~~~As i was walking past this uncle this evening after clocking out of my office, there is a lady standing beside him. He gave some hand signals to her "Telling her to shut up, while he answers his handphone". As i was quite near him, i over-heard his conversation : "Hmmm, I will be late...."Heck, he is actually telling his whoever over the other line that he will be late coming back and is now having a social fling with this lady....Urgh.....A chinese saying come to mind : "Which cat does not steal", you get my meaning?
