Sickly Me :( I think I am gradually becoming a sick cat. Has been falling sick more and more frequent. What’s worse is the stomach flu attack for the past few days. A combination of diarrhoea, vomitting, fever and bad body aches. I even experienced fainting spells. Luckily I was at home and not outside. It’s really so awful I thought I am going to die lor. Anyway, I am glad I am recovering well. Let me do a summary of what I have been doing for the past few weeks in one post. My dear dear brought me to have the famous bazhang and char kuay tiao 2 weeks ago before we headed down to Comex IT Show. The bazhang really very nice lor. I am not a fan for char kuay tiao but it tasted nice too. Woke up early on a Sunday morning to go and support my dear dear’s annual company bowling competition. Though we woke up so early, but we still look pretty fresh This is my dear dear’s bowling team. Also known as project team because they do all their school projects together for their part-time course. Keke… Oh ya, take a look at my dear dear and Max’s T-shirts. LOLz! So concidence hor :p In order to match them, Jason (in red top) took off his glasses and hang it at his shirt. Last Saturday, Alicia invited me and dear dear to her company’s event to watch Wall-E at Vivo City GV. It was really a very nice show. Go catch it if you have not watch it. Thanks for the kind invitation Alicia. Can I Shut Myself Down? Exams are finally over. My part-time diploma course has finally come to an end. I thought things might get better with more time to do my things. But sad to say, things didn’t really improve much. Workload has gotten heavier with more tasks and responsibilities. I can practically work 12 hours per day for at least 3 times per week. Even Fridays I got to work OT till about 9 plus. Really damn no life lor. Sometimes I think liao I also feel sorry for myself. I have been trying to clear as much work as possible during office hours so that I can go back at 6pm. But when it’s finally 6pm, there’s still alot of work to be done. It’s like a vicious cycle. With so much stress coming from all areas ranging from work, family, friends, relationships, finance, colleagues etc, I realised I have been dropping alot of hair lately. I experienced irregular menstrual cycles. My sleeping patterns was disrupted. Started to have bad eating habits. Been feeling very sensitive towards every single thing. Kept thinking everybody around me is behaving weird and strange. My body and mind seem to be unable to take the tremendous stress accumulated for the past few months and on the verge of breaking down. For a moment, I feel like I am alone in my own world. I can’t seem to get out and break free from all the pressure I am getting. I wished I could just leave everything behind and go somewhere where nobody knows me or judge me. Maybe I should just book a flight to somewhere and be away for a couple of days. How nice, isn’ it? It’s the combination of mental and physical exhaustion that have built up within me. It’s scary even while I am typing about it now. I seriously need to take a good break to rest my mind and body. If only we are like computers where we can just click on the shutdown button. An Awesome Ad! Let me share with all of you this very awesome ad, which was created for my dear dear’s marketing project. Well, most of the creations were done by my dear dear and I am so proud of him after seeing the final piece of work last Friday. He even received good comments from his lecturer after the presentation. But of course the rest of his group mates also contributed bits and pieces of ideas to this project. While he’s busy mugging for his exams beside me (I finished my exams last week and it’s his turn now :p), I am blogging away and doing some online shopping. Alrighty. Life has been practically much the same for the past weeks - Work, School, Eat, Shit & Sleep. Busy work schedules + Irregular eating hours + no time to hit the gym = FAT which has invaded my life and body once again. Bleah~ I almost couldn’t believe my eyes (although I am quite mentally prepared for the worst) when I stepped onto the weighing scale. The needle moved pretty fast to the right before realistically stopped at a number. 65kg!!! My goodness! I actually put on a hefty 8kg within like 6-8 months! I am not embarrassed to reveal my actual weight here because it’s a real hard fact that I must face now. I must do something about it and I know very well it takes a great deal of hard work too. Thinking back to that time when I was at my fattest, weighing about 75kg in 2003. I worked very hard to shed off the excess weight and I was 56kg at my slimmest. I seriously don’t want to waste all my past efforts by putting back all the weight I have lost. I still remember I went for my navel piercing to celebrate the success of my weight loss in September 2004. Having been with me for nearly 4 years, I have decided to remove the navel stub because it’s so NOT sexy with a fat tummy now Can you recognize who’s this in the picture? That’s me at my fattest. Gradually, I started to lose weight. After looking through the whole lot of photos I have taken since 2004, I am pretty sure by seeing the following photos everyday will definitely motivate me even more to shed the excess weight off my fat body. I must gambatte!!! PS: Exams are coming next week and will be mugging very hard for the next 2 weeks. I will try not to stock up any tidbits during this period because that’s what I always do every time before I start my revision for my exams :p Tomorrow, 1 August, will be the best day to start my slimming plan. I am going to start by going for a 3-day detox. Drink more water and eat more veggies and fruits. For those who also wanna jian fei can join me too Let’s look forward to a more slender and healthier us soon~~ Jessica’s Belated Birthday Celebration Met up with Linda and Jessica last Friday at Bugis Junction’s Ministry of Food for dinner. I was supposed to meet them at 6.30pm but I was late because was caught up with some work. They waited for me until so hungry that they went ahead to order first :p So pai seh lor. When I reached there, they were mostly done with the food so you will realise there’s no photo of food but only photos of the yummy desserts. I so love the black sesame ice cream~ As Jessica’s birthday was on 15 July, we decided to give her a belated birthday surprise. I am glad she enjoyed herself that night although it’s only a short meet-up. 3 of us really can talk non-stop about anything under the sun. Some lovely pictures of us Farewell Dinner @ St. Regis Singapore Last Friday, the Sales & Marketing division organized a surprise farewell party at St. Regis Singapore for our Senior VP who will be transferred to our Europe office next month. Can you imagine we had the farewell dinner at the Presidential Suite? The suite was really beautiful. Most of us started clicking away with our digicams when we reached there. Club Axio 1st Anniversary Still feeling a tad lazy but since I am on medical leave today, I decided to blog while I wait for the drowsiness of the medicine to kick in. I have been craving for beef noodles and my beloved dear dear brought me to have some really nice beef noodles 2 Fridays ago. After a heaty and satisfied dinner, he brought me to Orchard for green tea and black sesame Japanese ice-cream for dessert. Yummy! This is a Collector’s Edition of Monopoly which was custom-made for my company and it’s not for sale outside. Even the pewter tokens are custom-made. Very kawaii! My very nice male boss bought me some chocolates and asked me not to get drunk after eating them. Haha… Even though I haven’t been drinking lately but I am sure I can still hold my liquor well :p Went for our dental appointment on Saturday. It was raining so heavily lor. Almost can’t see the roads when driving. We went back home for a rest after the dental appointment before we went to wash Lucky. Washing car can be a very good workout. Not easy can. 2 Sundays ago was Club Axio 1st Anniversary and dear dear brought me there to see see look look. We even wore the Axio T-shirts dear dear bought to support the club. There’s games, food, drinks and lucky-draws. Dear dear was really lucky because he won the 3rd prize that day. It was a bluetooth After the event ended, dear dear brought me to Bedok to have fishball noodles. It was from a famous stall and he queued for like 30 mins before he got his orders taken. The chilli was nice and spicy. The noodles was cooked just nice. The fishballs tasted great too. Thanks for the lovely weekend, my dear! Miss Lazy I have lots to blog about from my father’s birthday to attending Axio Forum’s 1 year Anniversary. There were lots of photos taken too but I am just too lazy to upload and post them up. These days when I am free, I just want to lay back, relax, watch my notti one play his favourite games and do some online-shopping. After a hard day’s work, you practically wanna do nothing. Even if it’s just lying on the bed and staring blankly at the ceiling, it feels good too. Well, I must admit that age plays a part too. Can’t afford to stay up late like before when I was much younger. Alot of things waiting for me to do and one of them is to complete my last 2 projects. The laziness just gets the better of me these days. *Yawn* Ciao~ Dear’s Mummy’s Birthday Work has been crazy lately. Besides my usual pile of work, I was assigned to send out a whole lot of items to the other regional offices and the hotels/properties under my company’s management. It’s not easy lor. The things to be sent out are pretty bulky and it have since converted 2 rooms into temporary storerooms. I have so far completed packing 12 pallets to be sent out yesterday. As my boss prefers me to spend the time on more important tasks, he have asked me to get a temp staff to come in tomorrow to do the packing. I am so relieved to hear that from my boss because I really need help on the packing. At least for now I can concentrate on clearing my stack-high-high-pile-of-work in-tray. The 12 huge pallets to be sent out and the messy converted storeroom. Celebrated my dear dear’s mummy’s birthday during the weekend. We went to the new Boon Tong Kee at Boon Keng for lunch on Saturday. So yummy! Me and my dear dear were all prepared le so while waiting for his sister to come back, he switched on his PS3 and started to play his game. I specially love the tofu :p Cake-cutting at home on Monday which was the actual day. Dear’s sister brought the 2 lovely dogs (Sugar and Roxy) along too. Roxy was super active though he’s just 6 months old. Sugar has turned into a young lady and will usually sit quietly in a corner. Everyday there’s tons of work to do in addition to the high amount of backlog. Backlog was created by the new system which the company just started using. Anyway, it’s really not easy working for 4 directors. 1 versus 4 is really no joke. But I treat it as a challenge. Although I am very busy, but I am really happy. That’s how every colleague of mine are feeling. Everyday, I am faced with the same “So many things to do, but so little time” problem. But that’s how it’s gonna be as long I am with the company I think. Anyway, right now what really motivates me everyday is the Hong Kong trip this coming December It’s my company’s annual D&D from 15-17 Dec. My notti one will be going with me and we have extended 2 more days of our stay till 19 Dec. And 20 Dec is a public holiday lor. Super cool right? And we will be celebrating our 3rd year anniversary there too. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! Hahaha…. This trip is also a motivation for my upcoming exams. I don’t know how I am going to handle the high workload and my exams. But I know if I try hard enough, I can do it de. Donut Factory Today is my 3rd day at my new job. So far so good. My new boss is a very nice Zimbabwean man who knows how to speak Chinese. My new colleagues are a nice and helpful bunch. As the company is expanding, the whole Sales & Marketing division will be moving to a new office space from Suntec City Tower 4 to Tower 2. So since I am in the Sales & Marketing division, I am also involved in the office shifting. It’s pretty tiring but I had fun. As my office is at Suntec City, I will see long queues at the Donut Factory whenever I passed by. The staff in the baking area really resemble those production workers working in a factory As I have not tried those fancy flavoured donuts since the donuts craze started, I decided to get some for myself and the notti one I bought 1/2 dozen of assorted flavours - Double Chocolate, Hazelnut Milk Choc, Lotus Mocha, Spicy Cheese, Coffee Roasted Almond and Mint Dark Choc. The first one I tried was the Hazelnut Milk Choc. Not bad wor. I shall get some from Munchy Donut the next time round at Causeway Point and compare which one is nicer :p Yummy Donuts! It was a good ending to the Resident Evil movie sequel I must say. The movie was really nice but both of us were totally disgusted by this guy who were seated 1 seat away from the notti one. We were wondering if he ever shower in his whole life. He’s so damn bloody smelly till I wanna puke lor! These kind of people really freaking inconsiderate. I wonder how his friends sitting beside him can tahan the smell throughout the movie. Super turnoff can!!! Nevertheless, my notti one and I tried our very best to put up with the disgusting stench and concentrated on the movie. The movie was great but it’s a torture when you have to constantly hold your breath so that you won’t accidentally take in a big breathe and got yourself choked by the disgusting odor. Urgh! Me and my dear sister went to Tiong Bahru Market for dinner before going for our class last Tuesday. There were alot of nice food to eat wor. Harsh words were exchanged. Hearts were broken. Hidden problems were revealed. Damages were made. All in the short span of time : 30 mins. Hurting words hurled can never be taken back. Cracked marks on mended broken hearts will forever be there. No amount of apologies can reverse the tremendous damage done. A lot of things started to flashback so clearly in my mind. Tears were rolling down my cheeks as though I am standing in the rain. It felt like I have just finished watching a heart-wrenching korean drama. My heart felt so pain. But I am sure they felt more pain than me. The tears she shed just now can never be compared to the 4 hours of tears I shed. Deep down I know I have hurt her deeply. I think I have a lot of reflections to do on myself. What’s done cannot be undone but I hope someday I will be able to atone for the damage I have done. Though I didn’t say but it doesn’t mean I don’t care. Random Thoughts 1] I super HATE the current place I am staying with my parents because it’s like staying in those old flats where alot of foreign workers are staying. It’s always so dirty, so smelly and so noisy. So after some planning, we decided to watch it last Friday. Though it’s my 2nd time watching it, but it doesn’t really matter as long as my parents enjoyed the show. It’s been like donkey years since they last watched a movie I think. I, being the daughter, was supposed to treat my parents to the movie. But because the notti one got abit of winnings from Lucky, last Friday’s expenses were all on him ;p. The movie tickets, the popcorns plus the dinner for his Baby. Dinner was at Crystal Jade Kitchen. Shopped abit after dinner before we went to fetch my parents and sister for the movie. Though it’s my 2nd time watching the movie 881, but i teared again. Photos time! Kawaii Mushroom From Mario World Got a pleasant surprise this morning when I saw this cute little thing sitting on the passenger’s seat. It’s the Green Mushroom from Super Mario World!
