It was a nice wedding with guys in white uniform and a sword ceremony, which I always want to have but impossible .. haha.. coz Benny didn't sign on army. :POk back to wedding.. I arrived late :X so miss out the walking in part, but lucky didn't miss out the exchanging vows and rings.After the exchanging, they have the christian ceremony, not very sure what is that but is needed for wedding.The table flower table decoration. Funeral is the last thing on my mind that I will want to go.A young gal, which haven't reach her mid twenties, going to finish her degree soon, planning for a trip to taiwan.. a bright future ahead. Bad News:I tender my resgination letter early this week. I know I only work for the company for just 1 month, I also take a few days time to think whether is it a wise decision to quit my job. I love taking blood, I love my colleagues and my boss. I think I break my boss heart, coz in the D&D she talk to me treated me so well. -,-" Good News: (There is 2 good news!)1.) I found a new job. :X Is still at the same building but different job scope. Will be under eye specialist ~ Ophthalmological clinic as a clinic nurse taking care of minor OT and assist Dr. Of coz the very big reason for changing is because of good pay (higher then dipolma - good reason for "jumping"), good bonus and nice doctors. That why I decided to let go my Phlebotomist. So I will offically leaving my "vampire" day end of next week, and become a "windows to the souls" missy on the 3rd week of June. 2.) I GOT INTO UNSIM!!! Yes, I'm so happy! Initially, I thought I wouldn't be able to get it because of the high application rate and also the interviewee ask me whether I'm willingly to wait till next year Jan intake anot. This remarks makes me sad for few days lor!I apply for Bachelor in Counselling cum Graduate Dipolma in counselling. Earlier on I mention that I want to take up Psychology but the modules for SIM have change into more of like a business organisation behavior Psychology which is not my interest so I decided to make a switch. :DBenny also got into RMIT in Econs and Finance. So he and me will be able to study part time together! :D But good for him coz his diploma is related so he only need to study for 2 years, but for me I need to study for 4 years!! So long.. but its ok, times really flies very fast. Today is will be my first month working with my new company. The few weeks of my job was madness. Trying to cope with the calls during busy time, taking in staff complaints and doctors' mood swings. Relearn my drawing blood technique, making sure that almost 99.9%, I will get patients blood in 1 prick, with minimum pain and no bruises. But some patient just refused to listen to you when you ask them to press for 5mins or not to rub the area, so when they end up getting bruises, they complain and I "kena"! -,-!!Right now, compliment is getting more, and getting more confidence in getting diffculy veins in just 1 prick. However, there will be one common sentence which patients always tell me after I took their blood. Patient: At first, when I look at you, I'm in doubt whether you can draw my blood, cause you look so young!Me: -,-" Uncle/Auntie/Miss/Mdm/Mr, My actually age is not that young! Me already in nursing line for 3 yrs!So everytime, when someone compliment that I look young, is a good thing, but when come to work is a BAD thing! :XAnyway, enough of my new job rant. Yesterday had another gatering, this time round is with my nursing friends!! I so miss them!! Hehe... but too bad, Yihshan, Peizhen and Andrea is not able to join us as they are working afternoon shift. We went to Hanabi Jap restaurant for buffet. Each person is $33+++.Me busy eating, so didn't have time to take photos. Haha.. Their buffet style is you order the food from the menu, it will serve it to you directly instead of the usual way we taking the food at the counter. So just order as many as you want!At first Yanpeng told me each person can only order 10 dishes. So I try to think carefully on what to eat, after that then she told me she bluff me!! We ordered Sake 300ml to try out. We gals seriously have no idea which type to order, so we choose the sweetest one on the menu which is +1 base on the scale of -20 to +20, the smallest the number the sweetest. But still it taste quite bitter. I feel like it taste abit like vodka, but more smooth and with a fruity sweetness taste. CHEERS!! Trying to taste.. Staying in Singapore, we can consider lucky as we don't have but also we can't take for granted. Espcially this earthquake incident which took many lifes, homes and hope away, I think is very insensative of giving remarks that "somebody" is cleaning the earth or the world is coming to the end. What if, the one experience the earthquake is us or somebody you love is buried deep inside, I don't think you will ever make such insensative comments. Just be appreciative enough that we don't experience this and really treasure your family, friends and loved one around you. :) IRON MAN Watch "Iron Man" yesterday with Benny. Its a very very very good movie. Should go and watch it. What I'm working as?? Haha.. Is stated at the title, another professional word for it is "Phlebotomist".A phlebotomist is an individual trained to draw blood, either for laboratory tests or for blood donations.So right now I'm a full time "blood sucker" for all the clinic doctors in ** Medical Centre. This morning started my work in their satellite laboratory first before moving to my main work place. All this tools will be needed for to "suck" the blood..Number of blood I have taken in 2 hours.. After my lunch, I went over to my main work place to have my orientation. here is my mini work place with my collaegues. Once I'm a confirm staff, there will only be 2 phlebotomist at this medical centre. 1 junior which is me and the other Senior Phlebotomist, Su. She has work in this line for more then 10 yrs!!!Ok the black bag which is shown in the pics, is our tools for "sucking" blood. So when we received a call from the clinic, we will bring our bag and head down to the clinic for blood taking. :) After that, we need to go back to our mini work place and place the blood smaple in a bag, so that the porter can collect the blood and sent it to the laboratory. So far today is quite alright, but kind of nervous, as we have to make sure that we have taken the coreect amount of blood, correct tubes, correct patient and make sure we don't prick them twice. So its quite challenging.期待明天会跟好。。。Need to buy some stuff for my new job...1. Watch2. Black Jacket3. Low heels shoes (got too many 3" and above heels)4. Lunch box warmer5. Mug for work Monday.... Bad news is SIM changed the modules of the course to more like a business kind of psychology rather then the medical.. #$%^&*@#$%^... the good news is, I apply for Degree in Counselling cum Graduate Diploma in Counselling which is 4 years course. t least and lucky they have this course, otherwise I don't know what I'm going to study! Even though my birthday is in August but I still wish and hope I can get the course and of course the government 40% subsidy. Otherwise over $30k is going to "kill" me.. In the mean time I also looking for job went for interview on yesterday, everything went well, so hope the 2nd round which is on thursday will be a good one too. :) After registerd our course Benny brought me to eat Botak Jones. I ordered the chessy fries as our side dishes, but I didn't expect it to be SO BIG plate.. Didn't manage to finish it so we brought it home. I love the cheese... **I have my hair rebond.. finally. Gals, who want to join models, or interested, what you can do is, go to a reputable agency like Modelique, Mannequin, Looque, Carrie, Carver Management, Ezen etc send your photos (half/full/2 side profile shoot, your stats) or given them a call for interview. I can't help much as my job offers is from the agency and/or through my modeling friends and some is contacts during my pageants time. And also I don't do much event, so most of the runway job, need gals to be at least 1.72cm and above. So if you got the height go for the agency or you can join some modeling pageants to help you get more contacts. :) So those who have email me your number, I will message when my friend msg me, so I'm not an agent so I can't promise job ok. :) Lastly like to share with you this 2 sentence.. can't remember when I came across, so hope you have some thoughts.. Really had an enjoyable 2 days and 1 night, I wish it was longer, as the resort is really very comfortable. Most important thing is I didn't bring my swimwear! The swimming pool is so nice and looks relaxing. Will remember to bring swimwear if I have a chance to go there again. Day 1: Arriving Batam, Spa and seafood feast Dear and me Showing Mickey mouse cartoon for our 45mins boat ride.. The sea view. Quite diffcult to catch a nice view, as we are sitting in the air-conditioned deck. Yappie, after 45mins of boat ride, we finally reach!! Benny almost got sea sick.. haha.. but I wish the boat ride was longer :P We took a less then 10mins car ride to our resort ~ HARRIS resort. As we have few hours before checking in, we went for a short tour at Harris Resort Their nice swimming pool area. Its so beautifully done and makes me feel so relaxed. Really regret that I didn't bring any swimwear, but even if I bring, I don't think I have the time to relax there also. Benny and me. After we have finish the tour, its time for us to check in. Benny's sister and me share one room.. Our room view and outside view. After putting our stuff we went for foot massage as we have another 1 more hour to spare before our spa massage. :) The foot massage cost S$15 for 1 hour, very relaxing, the massager will ask you whether the force is alright for you. So its alright to voice it out, if you feel uncomfortable. After the foot massage, here come the spa!! The spa is located at the 4th floor of the other building. There is no lift in the building, so its kind of tired to walk up the stairs.. The Spa is design in an open concept way rather than the air-condition enclosure room. Which find it good actually, as I know that I wouldn't shiver throughout my spa session. We were usher to different huts, Benny and his dad share one and his sister and I share another hut. This is the view outside the hut. And the inside view of the hut Me.. relaxing.. Not sure how much is the spa cost as it comes with the package when we book the tour. Total time we spend is 3 hours which includes, full body scrub, massage and jaguzzi. :D After the spa, we went to the town Mega mall to walk around first, so we will know what to buy the next day as we only have half a day to spent at Mega Mall. After that, we went to Golden Prawn Live Seafood for a seafood feast! Its kind of expensive, maybe becasue Benny's Dad order 2 fish and this resturant is also quite expensive compare to the rest which is near our resort. Golden Prawn Live Seafood :D Choosing the fresh fish, prawns and crabs. Kind of cruel when you stand down there and choose the live and "kicking" fish/crabs. Live entertainment Our big coconut drinks. The dishes we ordered, from top to last: Green bean sprout, Lala fried with bean paste, cornflakes prawn, black pepper crabs, fried sweet and sour fish and the other one is steam fish(no pics). The Lala fried with bean paste and the cornflakes prawn is the best. I didn't know lala can be cook in this way besides the chili lala (never eat before, don't eat spicy stuff) and soup base. Very refreshing and best thing is bigger (in S'pore) and it doesn't have sand. For the cornflakes prawns, the curry leaves is alot, so it makes the whole dish taste very nice, the cornflakes is still cripsy not like some of the restaurant here the cornflakes is abut sogging or doesn't taste as good. Its very crispy but not overcooked. The not-so-nice dish is the black pepper crabs. Coz its overcooked, so the meat tends to stick to the chell, makes it diffcult to eat and due to the overcooked, the meat is quite dry, can't really taste the sweetness of the crab meat. Hope I gave a better idea on this restaurant, so maybe use this as a guide if you guys want to go there for seafood feast. :) After the seafood feast, we went back to hotel and rest. The bed is so comfy..(*miss) Saw this cute little raabit outside the hotel when we went back so cute! Day 2: Shopping at Mega mall and back to Singapore We woke up early in the morning for breakfast. Their breakfast is nice, although not much of choices. No S'poreans spotted,but there is lots of korean women and their children. Wonderful breakfast After breakfast, all of us went back to our room to rest (we can only check out at 10am), except for Benny's dad, he went for another round of foot massage. After his foot massage, we took car down to mega mall to shop and also "cure" our A&W cravings. Me waiting at the resort lobby, while Benny doing the checking out. When all the cars stop at red light juction, there will be a few people, holding on to either newspaper or trays full of toys, going to each car and try to sell their stuff. There is even one little gal holding to a blind woman and begs for money.. Mega Mall after shopping the 1st round, we went for lunch at A&W. Not sure whether is ut because of hope/craving is too high, the food actually didn't turn out nice as we thought it will be. :( After eating, we continue shopping at their mega supermarket. Their daily use products is so cheap, bought quite alot of items and also some stuffs for my family at the shopping mall. Before heading off to the habour, we went to buy donuts. Benny said they are quite famous for donuts, so each of us bought 1 dozen back. I like the coffee (bottom right hand corner) one best! I don't really like very sweet stuff, so I didn't really buy donut here eversince I tried once but after trying the coffee one is nice, not so sweet, and the coffee taste is strong! :D Lastly, time to go home... This time round, we sit on the upper deck (open air). Its nice to enjoying the scenery and sea breeze before back to S'pore.. Hope you enjoy the photos!! Time to sleep... Night night**I LOVE MY CAMERA** Laser Treatment Today I have laser done for my leg!! Thanks to Dr Wong for helping me to do it! Haha.. I know my leg scars is not so obvious but I too "ai mei" haha..Only 2 pics taken busy talking forget about taking photos.Preparation ~ mark out the scars areaAfter the laser. Only have a slight redness on the laser site, the knee one is the most obvious one, so I took a pic of it.Only minimal pain felt during the treatment, is bearable. One treatment is not enough, not sure how many I need to go through. Just a rough guidlines from my colleague's friend. She have a small scar on her face, she did 3 treatment before the scar was gone. So I don't think I will have obvious result in just one treatment..Not sure I have chance to do it again anot, coz this month is my last month helping them as a locum. :(For those interested can find out more here. Oh ya.. this laser treatment can remove tattoo too. :D New camera!!!! Benny brought me to IT show on thursday. Got to repeat again. Lucky my plan for degree is in July, but my money "fly away" so heart pain!Actually ever since I have my braces on, I feel abit of depress upset. As I love to eat and always finish up the food until my friends said that the auntie no need to wash the plate, but now, I couldn't really finish one full bowl, couldn't eat my favourite food or eat very slowly. In the initial stage, I do feel abit regret putting on the braces, but now slowly I'm getting over it.. 爱美的代价Not only the braces issue, the exam also. So for the past few days, my mood is unstable, so benny bring my shopping, so I feel much more better. Yes I HAVE BRACES ON!!!! :DSo I have officially become "ti kee" aka "铁牙" aka "metal teeth" hehe..Ok why I decided to do it?One of my upper and lower front teeth is slanted to one side, I know its not very obvious but minority people have notice it. Still I wasn't keen to do braces because of the years and the "suffering" that I have to endure..So, when I was having pageant competition at China early this year, was chatting with one of the organiser. He suddenly said to me, it will be much more better if your teeth is straight. I keep quiet for awhile and said "I think first"His words really make an impact on me, but still I couldn't decide when to do it. Finally when my sister had her braces done late July, she has been asking me to do it so that we can have each other company. So finally set up my mind and have it done! :DX-ray that was done last 2 months ago...Pulling out my teeth on saturday.. 4 teeths at one goal! 长痛不如短痛Benny accompany me to the dentist. After pulling, the saliva can't control, keep on drooling because my whole mouth is numb. Start to eat porridge after 3 hours even thought still have slight bleeding.. **greedy me**After that Benny and me went to fairprice and bought some food that I'm going to have for the next few days or weeks.. Thanks Benny for buying me the stuff!! :DI really have liquid food or soft diet for the past few days, coz I couldn't bite at all!! But its ok, lucky I still can take fish!! :DMy healthy teeth.. sob sobLastly today... my braces!!!** One thing I got infection.. but is already in the bone.. so got to take another course of anitbiotics and my left side of the lower cheek is swollen.. -,-"**Hope I'm able to have solid food by saturday 'cause I have secondary school gathering! :DSo my braces is on, and slowly not doing any modeling assignment.. Ask me is it worth it ok course its worth it. I have tried almost everything, commercial, runway, drama series (though not much), pageants and overseas pageant except acting... So its ok. Sometimes certain things have to let go to do other things. Is not that I'm totally into modeling, am I just half leg inside. If have chances, and if I really meant to be in it, after the braces I still can go back again.. but one thing have to be very clear, what is my objective in life? Being in modeling life, is easy to lost oneself, lost of what is your original objective, lost your characteristic and etc.. Have I lost myself before.. maybe have maybe not.. coz I know I always want to be a psychologist (before that is nurse educator when I'm in nursing.. "cause I look upon my senior ~ Sayli but too bad.. its ok. :D)So I super happy to have my braces on.. haha.. keep on showing my big smile to each an everyone at home! Haha.. The night is quite alright, except there is alot of call bells during the first parameter round. I wonder does Mount E. really charge patient for pressing call bell?? That is what I heard, but seems like the patient really having "fun" pressing the call bell :XActually after working in private hospital for quite awhile, I feel that no matter what status you are or how wealthy, once you fall sick, you are just like a normal person. We take care of you is because you are our patient, not because you are staying in a special room. Not to offend anyone but I really do meet quite alot of nice people too.Maybe thats another reason why I prefer to work in "C" class ward (the other reason I don't like is because of the air-con, I don't like air-con). I find my previous ward environment is much more lively and happier then those patient living in the special ward. Thats why I always tell my friends and family actually staying in government hospital or "C" class ward (espcially those newly renovated) are not that bad as what people think off.
