I really want to blog!
Blogging only on weekends sucks. I can't keep up to the heat of the blogosphere. However, I'm getting a little better at time management and I'll try to blog more *fingers crossed*..With regards to my previous post on Yingjie, I got comments like this:You're an NS boy for god's sake, why so harsh to a secondary boy?and this:saying things bad abt yinjie makes ppl think that u are petty so lame in NS still so immature so harsh to a boy which is small than u in age .don't feel shame meh.forgive & forget lah dey!You know what? This gigantic eye rolling smiley's for you:So you're trying to tell me kids are stupid?Anyway, the reason why I mentioned I did it for him free is because, if he'd paid me to do it, the design would be considered his - as per any other design jobs.Aiyah, since some of you think that this is a kiddy issue, then be it. I've got lots of things to blog about and I obviously shouldn't waste time on things like this.(FYI, and if you really need to know, I'm not angry anymore as I write this blog entry.)AND I REALLY GOT LIKE A GAZILLION THINGS TO BLOG ABOUT! But time is never enough! So anyway, there was a delay yet again in rolling out episode 2 of Blogger's Sweets. Well, fret not! It'll be up for all this coming thursday!Do look out for it ya!UPDATE: Episode 1 reached 16K views! ..and it's going onto 17K soon! WOOT! Thanks for the luurrrrve and support! :D
Army life = No life.
Hello, to the people that are still reading my blog.I will be booking into camp in 3 hours' time, and I'll struggling to keep up with my previous lifestyle i.e. blogging and all the other random shit that I usually do.It's really, really hard for me keep up with the blogosphere since I have only 48 hours to catch up with what other people did in 168 hours. And the whole "normal human" sleeping time (sleep at 10.30, wake up at 5.30) made it even worse. I feel so tired after 10.30 that I can't even stay up late to do my things. In spite of that, I try my very best to keep up with the fast pace of my weekends, but only to find that it's getting worse week by week.Sigh. NS sucks, BIG TIME.The strenuous training? I can take it.The strict discipline? I can take it.But I just can't accept the fact that I'm wasting so much time in the army, and how little time that is left for me to do my own stuff.Maybe it's time for me to quit blogging. But no, not yet. Sweets.sg is holding me back. I've still got alot of episodes to roll out. But there just isn't enough time for me to finish the editing in time.Episode 2 is supposed to be out next thursday, but it'll be postponed till the next next's. I am so sorry to the people who are eagerly anticipating. I've let you down. :(Maybe NS came at the wrong time. Yes, no? I really don't know.Anyway, I missed out on so many things in the blogosphere that I don't even know where to begin with. And I only got to know that I'm shortlisted in Omy S’pore Blog Awards 6 days after the list was out.I'm not having high hopes for this contest but if anyone of you want to help me out, click here or this button below......click on my face (the bottom right icon) and follow the steps accordingly. The same old drill, winners are determined by votes and voters gets to win prizes too....You must be wondering why I sound a wee bit down.Apparently, one of the finalists of the "Best Blog Design" category, should NOT even qualify.Simply because, I was the one who designed his blogskin for him.HOW CAN YOU ENTER "BEST BLOG DESIGN" WHEN IT'S NOT EVEN DESIGNED BY YOU?Okay, one can argue that maybe that is his blog, so it's fine.BUT ANG YING JIE HAS NEVER SOUGHT PERMISSION FROM ME TO USE IT TO ENTER THE CONTEST!Is it even ethical to take part with my design in the first place?I emailed OMY to tell them about the issue and I hope they do something about it. So anyway, I msned with Yingjie and he's just full of crap. Acting gracious of not wanting to win and yet harping so badly on his blog for people to vote for him. Here's the msn chat:The way he's saying it, it's as if he doesn't care about the contest. But in fact, he actually wants to win so badly. On his blog:From the day he knew he was in, till I chat with him - THAT'S SIX FUCKING DAYS.Even if I were to give him the benefit of doubt, does he really need almost a week to realize that he shouldn't be in that category? Shouldn't he at least have the decency to tell me (or email me if I'm not contact-able) that he'd used my design to enter the design category?Oh, did I mention that I designed for him FOR FREE?!Ang Ying Jie, I really regretted making that blogskin for you. I don't know if you've realised, I seldom reply you on msn, that's because the only times you talk to me is when you needed help for your blog.Good luck to you in the contest. And no, you do not have to give me anything if you do win. I do not appreciate it.And don't bother talking to me. I've blocked and deleted you on my msn. You fucking ingrate.I shall end my this entry abruptly 'cos I've to go prepare to book in into camp. Ciao.
AH-MEE BOY is back!
HELLO EVERYBODY!Yesterday evening was my first book out from Tekong!Good news & Bad news!......GOOD NEWS is Sweets.sg or "Blogger's Sweets" is getting quite a good response!BAD NEWS IS, I'VE GOT NO TIME TO BLOG! I've just finish reading through 200+ emails and loads of blog updates, and I've got to go gai-gai and enjoy some civilian life now! Will update again next weekend, but do check out my twitter updates from time to time!
Tomorrow! Holiday Chalet in Tekong!
Yay, I'm going for "holiday chalet" tomorrow!WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE~!(okay, let's stop being too optimistic already)But seriously, how better can it get when your enlistment day falls on FRIDAY THE 13TH?!And to top that up, a 20 yo guy died in Tekong just two days ago.....WHILE WALKING! Not only that, some NS guy just died today in Brunei.Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is definitely not a very good sign, isn't it?But then again, I heard the news saying something like they're gonna stop all trainings for 3 days to reflect on the army system? Hmmm... Maybe it is actually a good time to enlist, huh?ANYHOW, the time has come and I have to serve the nation no matter what.Oh, did I mention that the army has already cost me some advertorials and blogging events? Sigh. I've not even finish with the blog posts that I wanna post up before I enlist lor!K anyway, just to update, my makan man won me a brand new laptop! WOOT!Please ignore how Makan Man looks so off in real life. Anyway, that's Patrick from mypartners and his cute Snow White daughter!Check this out:It's illustrated by mirage-works.com. Cool beans right!I'll post up the full entries when I'm back!By the way, I'll be twittering while inside, so do check out my twitter updates here or at my twitter page!So I guess it's bye for now and hello to Recruit Tan!P/S: WHAT THE HELL IS SWEETS.SG?!
New hair!
...that will only last me for like what? one week plus?!(anyway, last week was a fantabulous week, but I've got a few entries to post up, and to keep them in the correct order, I'd to post this up first!)and so, I was psycho-ed by nadia and fabian to get a haircut sometime two weeks ago. and since I'm enlisting pretty soon, I'm supposed to try something new... and anyway, they too decided to cut their hair!here's us...and here's the obligatory camwhore before the damage:Okay, maybe "damage" isn't the correct word, 'cos I simply HEART the new hair!and Nad had new bangs!Fab got a shorter trim and here's us with our wonderful hairstylist, Jess!Haha! I love this posey photo! 3 MORE DAYS TILL RECRUIT TAN
Toilets for FAT women only!
You guys know how a usual toilet signage would look like, right?(source)So anyway, I was eating dinner with Nad at bugis foodcourt the other day when she pointed out this to me:We seriously think the sign meant, "Toilets for men & FAT women"Don't you think so too?!Anyhoo, I decided to search flickr for any interesting toilet signs and these are what I've gotten:Toilets for Men with man-boobs. (source)To toilets or ...Sex change clinic? (source)"Hmmm... I wonder if this is a mens toilet???" (source)AND I SPOT RACISM!LOL! Toilets for indian men and women only! (source)Last but not least, this is not a bad design, but a cheeky toilet sign and I think it works!(source)
The Top 5 Ways to Become Famous Overnight
Honestly, I don't care too much about the readership of my blog. I constantly tell myself that if I fret too much about it, I will drift away from the initial passion to blog, which is indefinitely not what I wanted. There was even a point of time that I wanted to shut down this blog and start a private one - it was when there were too much of advertisements on my blog and I seemed to lose the reason for blogging to earn money through it.Come to think of it, a high amount of readers and plentiful of advertisements, CAN BE two totally different things. But they tend to conflate and work hand-in-hand in most popular blogs.I never believe in blogging for the sake of money. Well *erm* maybe during ad-related posts, I might come across as a sell-out at times, but all of the blogging rights reside in me, whether the certain product is good or not. Obviously, I would NEVER do an advertorial or go to an event for ZINC BAGS! (Oh if you don't know, I loathe Zinc bags. I think NTUC plastic bags look better than them.)Anyway, ever since blogs hit the shores, there has been an increasing amount of people who simply wanna get famous through it. And I find it so ever amusing on the different ways and methods bloggers used to increase readership.Well, here's my top 5 ways of how I think bloggers can instantly become famous over night.#1. Write about topics that are sensitive in your countries. Particularly in Singapore, racism & politics. For eg.,You (insert a race) are so smelly!!!What is this pathetic (insert a race) man (again, it have to be a (insert that race again)!!!!) doing in the train?#2. Make insensitive remarks at other people's plight, à la Sharon Stone who says the earthquakes in China are karma.Or even better, blame it on the people like what this Liaoning girl did.#3. Patent a very general way of doing things and later sue people who does it the same way.Refer to DK's Top 10 Patent list!"10) Method of walking by alternative movement of the left and right lower limp9 ) Method of selecting an item on a Personal Computer by a mouse click8 ) Method of consuming nutrition thru mouth for the purpose of providing nutritional needs[...]"#4. Go to jail, jail break via the toilet ventilation window. Preferably to walk with a limp! Not only you'll get famous overnight, they'll throw in free makeovers:Free posters:Free MMS:And you'll be starred in your very own tv series!#5. Do it the Edison Chen way. NEED I SAY MORE?Disclaimer: I don't hold any responsibility of any consequences that you may face after following these ways okay! Heh!Anyway, WHAT IS SWEETS.SG?!
Vesak Day with Prince Caspian
This is a long overdue post! Lemme post this up before I forget about it!So thanks to Nuffnang, I've got free tickets to The Chronicles of Narnia - Prince Jayden Caspian!Didn't catch the first one, but heard from a few that the previous one was better. And I find it a tad too draggy! Since I do not follow much of the story line, the only part I enjoyed the most would be, when the river came to life and attacked the baddies. And they conveniently made the lion say, "Things never happen the same way twice."YAWN. If Aslan the stupid lion were to come out earlier and save the Narnians, wouldn't everything be solved already?! THEN AGAIN, the movie would be like merely 10 minutes long.Took a group pic with some of the SPI-ders!Cute little Zach! Too bad the pic was blur! :(After the movie, Fab and I made our way to Va va voom for breakfast/lunch/dinner, 'cos we haven't eat anything and was famished!Anyway, on our way there, we saw this:I think the cleaner's (or whoever he is) job must be damn exciting can! Imagine dangling so high on just a rope!...okay, it's probably not JUST A ROPE, but you got what I mean...After a short walk, we reached my latest favourite eatery! It's quite easy to find, but not many people know of this place AND I think that's good because it's very nice, cosy and quiet! It's opposite Raffles Hotel, along Seah Street.. (very near to Bras Basah Complex)It's not only the cosy environment, it's also the food over there that I luurrve! The beef noodles are not like those typical ones you see outside; It has clear soup and kway teow in place of the usual thick vermicelli. And most important of all, it has a generous amount of mint leaves that makes the soup oh-so-fragrant!I forgot what's inside these crispy rolls, but I remember it's damn good too!Camwhore time! Typicalben told me to take 2 years worth of photos so I can use them after I enlist! Haha!I don't know why, I kinda cringed a little whenever I put camwhore photos up on my blog nowadays. SO WEIRD! Is it a sign of me growing older already?!
Miss Singapore Universe '08 Finals!
Last week, bunch of us went to support Valerie during her MSU finals @ Marriott Hotel!Val's contestant number 16, and our table number's coincidentally 16 too!Anyway, there was a big booboo on the tickets! So if the tickets are correct, all of us had technically travelled back in time for this dinner! Heh!Val's mum, Ginny, is like the best DIY person can! Remember she made the chipster pillow for nuffnang's pj party?! That day she'd made handy sticks with big red hearts and with Val's name and number on it!And she made for everyone of us!There's a booklet included in the goodie bag and there's this particular picture in it that I thought was kinda unglam for the ladies:Not sure if you can see, but you know what happens when you've to take photos sitting down in bikini right?! Even the skinniest person will have weird lines forming on the belly area right? The photographer or the designer should've at least touch up a lil lah!ANYWAY, more iccy piccies!Sorry ah, I know there's no such term as "iccy piccy", but I just find the term very cute! Heh!Sher, Kexin & GinnyLiza & GinnySher, Kexin & Nik... Apparently Nik is too shy when taking pics with the ladies lah, see the huge gap!"Brother & Sister" pics!Just to clarify, Nad & I are not siblings per se, but seems like alot of people thought that we're related. To date, the weirdest I've heard is that we're together - as in bf & gf... WTH?!Nad says she doesn't understand why I open my mouth when taking this photo... Haha!A look at the menu is like, "Woah! Good food man!"But it's only when the food was served to us, then we realised that the serving was pathetic.I had to edit until like so, to make the food look appetizing:Yay shark's fin! This photo is also a self reminder that my hand looks disgustingly thin! ROAR! I NEED TO EAT & GYM MORE!Anyway, I don't have zoom lens for my dslr, so I didn't take much photos of the stage! Here's a photo of the belly dancers of the night, apparently one of them was shaking her boobs more than her belly:Some more ICCY PICCIES!Nik was flirting with Taqinah's mother on the phone!Met Sara there! She was there to cover the event if I'm not wrong...And I have no idea who these guys are:They asked me to take a photo of them when I walked past... I told them I'm not the official photographer, and they say, "it's okay, we know!" WTH?! ZZzzzZzzOkay, take a break from the photos and watch this video montage! Yes, that's us screaming and shouting madly for Val! Pardon the shaky video though, I was holding the camera, waving the red heart and screaming at the same time!Yeah, Valerie made it into the top 8! But unfortunately, she didn't make it through the end due to the bias judging! And we were all feeling down after the winner was crowned...And some of them drown their sorrows with Nik's hair:HA!This blog entry has been going so long and without a photo of Val! How can?!Her family!Last but not least, a shot of the winner and Sara!P/S: The winner is 26 years old and previously held titles of Miss Asia Pacific (1999), Miss International (2002) and Miss World (2005). YAWN! Guess this is like the last year for her before she turns into MRS. Heh!
Blogger Namecards!
Like Nadia, Rinaz & Claudia, I've gotten myself blogger namecards! Woohoo! I sent them to Tommy Print for print last week and I'd just collected them yesterday!I think Tommy Print is getting alot of free advertisement from bloggers! Haha! But anyway, their namecards are sent for offset printing, which means it's really good. If I'm not wrong, most print shops print the namecards themselves, which is not offset, WHICH means the print quality is not as good. Plus, there's gloss/matt lamination, or spot varnish, and as well as a range of different materials that you can choose from. Most importantly, they're cheap!Okay, enough of free advertisement. Here's abit of back story of my namecards:Well, I wasn't intending to make namecards as I'm enlisting soon and they would become useless. Also, I didn't want to associate my blogging life with the design one, and having a name card for being a blogger is just toooooo weird. UNLESS I'm Xiaxue, then that's entirely a different story. But but but, I've been going to events and such, and I hate the feeling of being shoved aside just because I do not have a name card. AND IT'S TRUE! During the LG Scarlet event, some guy from this rather big company, which I shall not mention which one, literally ignored me when I didn't hand him back any namecard when he gave me his.So anyway, feeling inspired by Claudia's 2-sided-with-different-info namecards, I came up with this parody-of-web-browsers idea!Safari version:IE version:I blurred off my hp number over here, 'cos I don't want everyone to be calling me for nothing. But I think my number's easy to find lah. Bah!Anyway, as a conversation starter, I can go like, "Do you use Windows or Mac?" Heh!Iccy Piccy Time! However, one bad thing about the design is, it's only catered to tech-savvy people? My details are located at different places of the web browser! People who don't use computers in particular will be confused by it.But I guess it's okay since we're living in the digital age now and having a little web browser namecard would be cool! Ha!Yay to blogger namecards!
Cook is DA WINNER!
You can't imagine how happy I am, well, partially because I won a bet on who will win.I never really follow American Idol 7, and previously I'd only know of David Archuleta from the show. Everybody's like all over Archuleta! So I joined in the madness, and thought, "Wow, this young boy really can sing!"It was only until Idol Gives Back when they sung Rihanna's Don't Stop The Music, then I started to follow contestants like Carly Smithson and David Cook.Everybody says Cook is damn sexy when he shakes his booty in the song. I have to agree on that!Strangest thing is, he doesn't even look good early in the show. From this:Check out the double chin, baby.......To this!I think the whole facial hair thing made him look so much better!Of cos, it's not just about his looks, his singing and stage performance has always been mind-blowing!I really like his rendition of Always Be My Baby:His rocker feel is not over the top, and yet super captivating! Here's the studio version of Always Be My Baby, which I'd kept listening to it for like a gazillion times already:Always Be My Baby (Studio) - David CookYay! Cook rocks!
Blogosphere - it's scarier than you'd think.
I'm sure that by now, many of the fellow bloggers, and as well as non-bloggers would have heard the news about a blogger being arrested for posting racially-offensive content on his blog. When I first saw the article few days ago, I was like, "Not again!" and a handful of bloggers question why our blogger queen never kena. If my memory doesn't fail me, technically, she didn't insult the "group" of people. It was what they did that disgusted her and I believe calling them molesters when they actually did, is nothing racist, right? And I think there weren't any blatant, crude or fabricated insults. Anyway, that's not the main point of this entry.So... Though the news is taunting and scary, I didn't really care who was the man who kena. The most I did, was to self remind that I should exercise more caution when writing sensitive issues.Fast forward to a few minutes ago, I was surfing Ping.sg when I saw this:Hmmmm, Fragrance Prince? Sounds familiar leh, which I quickly recalled to be a friend's friend. In Friendster's term, a 2nd degree friend?I've even bookmarked his blog before!Sorry I'd to blur off the rest of the list, I don't wanna let you guys know who I secretly stalk! Haha!I was thinking, "Wah! Cannot be lah!"But in fact, it was really THE "Fragrance Prince" that was caught. The seriousness of this issue suddenly hit me like a pointblank shotgun in the face. After a quick read through on Simply Jean's entry on the case, I realised how he went very wrong with his words.Quoted from her entry, which excerpted from http://fragranceprince.blogspot.com:(one of the paragraph in his original blog post)Aiya….stupid MALAYS!! Even if you are a Malay and am reading this… good for you..coz this is my personal blog and i can say what i deem fit…. if u wana defend yourself…. i suggest you arm youself with education and a motor mouth to compete against me.. else dont bother… coz i will bet my life on the line that, should you challenge me in a conversation… you will lose like what a true malay would…. LIKE **** !!!GET LOST!!Fragrance Prince, or Franco, definitely went too far on the part about freedom of speech. I wanted to post his picture here, but I thought that wouldn't be very nice. So yeah.In any case, I really hope he's okay now and learnt his lesson.Political issues - you might be able to get over with it, but Racism is a big NO NO to all Singaporean bloggers.People, be smart. If you HAVE TO write something, analyzed every single word and sentence of your blog post if you think it's gonna be political, racism or whatnot. Make sure one sentence is backed up by another. Gather links from forums or blogs that shares the same view as you. In a nutshell, have something to back you up before you pull the trigger.OR EVEN BETTER. Don't write anything like that. You want entertaining blog posts? Go Youtube and search "funny videos", it's way less complicated that way.On a separate note, sorry for the lack of updates that I'd promised. Been real busy cooking something up! Anyway, I've got a few entries to post up but I've got to finish editing the pictures and videos! Stay tuned!
The Chronicles of Narnia - Prince......
Why do I want to catch The Chronicles of Narnia - Prince Caspian?......because.........THE MOVIE IS STARRING ME AS PRINCE CASPIAN!Haha!Just kidding. If I'm acting as Prince Caspian, this show's rating will go from 5/5 stars to NEGATIVE 10 stars!Anyway, I wanna catch it 'cos I've not watch the first narnia movie! Watching this will entice me to buy the dvd to watch! Consumerism baby!Okay, I think I'd done enough damage, here's your REAL Prince Caspian:Check out their website at http://www.fighttosavenarnia.com.sg!
Prawning!
Not long ago, fabian, gigi, her boyfriend and i went prawning! The signboard over there says "Prawn fishing" but I thought it was weird. So is it prawns or fish? Yes yes, I know the word 'fish' can be used as a verb, therefore prawn fishing is correct. Aiyah. PRAWNING SOUNDS COOLER OK.So anyway, I went to gigi's house while waiting for fab to come.Baby's the name! This cutey pie is one hyper dog man! Then in front of camera act shy only!Haha! Cute lah! After fab arrived, we headed to the prawning place in jurong. We were sharing 2 rods to 4 person and Gigi & her bf both are prawning pros can! They got their first catch of the day within 5 minutes! After like 45 mins or so, we finally got our first catch! Technically, it's fab who caught it lah 'cos he was holding the rod at that time!I love my mario tee! Haha okay, random.Gigi's bf helped us tore off the prawn's pincers... *ouch*Prawning is not easy! A lot of times I felt the prawns' tension on the hook but I pulled the rod either too fast or too slow and missed the chance! Timing people, timing! Also, it's also the kind of hook you use! Gigi & bf caught 5 prawns in 1 hour! BUT I'm not gonna share the secret yet! Hehe :PApparently, the prawns are very noisy!Ha! Anyway, here's the total catch within one hour!We left after only an hour 'cos it was late! Will return for more!Hasta la vista, baby prawns!
Singapore Superhero Blog-tastic Contest
PRELUDE:If Singapore had a superhero, he would know about all the food, down to every single grain of rice! It's a food paradise here!MakanMan is helpful and benevolent and dislike people chomping down bad food. He calls out Katong Laksa to melt down enemy's ice lair, Geylang's Satay to pin down running culprits and uses Jalan Kayu's Roti-Prata to travel in the sky. When he's not busy fighting bad food, spend his time guiding poor souls who have no idea where to get good food in Singapore.Page 1:Page 2:Page 3:Page 4:Page 5:Page 6:Page 7:Page 8:Page 9:Page 10:IN THE NEXT CHAPTER:MakanMan finally melt down the ice walls of Mr.Crook's lair, but he is nowhere to be found. Scarlet is da bomb!
I'm finally done with going through the tons of pictures from the Scarlet event last friday; selected, edited, posted them onto flickr and facebook, AND as well as edited one by one for this entry. Gosh, I thought I wouldn't get to the end of it.(Blogging is hard work!)With that said, let's get to the exciting "hit new tv series".OH but wait, it's not as simple as it seems.Sometime early last week, Sabrina and I was on the phone about this invitation to a launch of a new tv series. She emphasized that I would have to dress formally for the posh event. Also, celebrities will be present as well. You cannot imagine how excited I was! I'm quite a tv-series person. I'm those kind that'll *erm* download and catch the episode one day after it's being aired in US. And I'm those kind that'll rewatch the entire season even when I'm supposed to do my schoolwork. You get the drift. What's more, it's by David Nutter, the "king" of production of pilot episodes for tv series. Think Smallville, Supernatural and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.I so anticipate to an exciting new tv series to follow right before my enlistment since Heroes will only be back in September and god knows when Terminator will be back?!The important line is, "Things aren't always what they seem."So I met up with Nadia and gang before hailing for cab to the Singapore Flyer, which was where the event was held.Even before heading there, we were already camwhoring in citylink mall. Ha, bloggers bloggers. My formal look for the day:The cab fare for such a short distance from raffles city to singapore flyer was $8+. Damn the extra charges.Honestly, I wasn't very excited about that big ferris wheel. And I thought I wouldn't ride it until like a few years later (after the price drop to like $2 per entry).Upon reaching there, DK was like, "Eh, you guys know the spoiler of Scarlet?"And the cat was finally out of the bag.Natassia Malthe from the trailer is the Scarlet, NOT! The real Scarlet is the tv beside her. In fact, it's a whole series of tv - not tv series. Talk about creative advertising! My initial reaction was that I felt super cheated. But the more I thought about it, the more I find the campaign's actually very smart and creative. And I love the word play with the "tv series".We mingled around and enjoying the scrumptious food at the same time. And I especially like their exquisite deserts! The beauteous lady was the emcee for the night. She looks familiar though, anyone knows who is she?And the real identity of Scarlet is finally revealed by the Managing Director of LG, Jae Bae.Behold the sleekest tv in the world - Scarlet, or the LG60 Series. It is the new flagship LCD TV series for 2008, which come in 32”, 37”, 42” and 47”inch models. My photo seriously don't do justice for the beauty. Let's take a look at the official product photos! To put it simply, this tv's not only a highly functional next-generation product, it's also the accumulation of design and style. It's like couture for the home system. Stylo milo.So alot of people may ask, why is there a hole in my tv?!This may disappoint a few, but it's somewhat for the cosmetics value. To quote their official write-up, "...a round aperture surrounded by LED lights at the bottom of the bezel served as a decorative focal point."Hmmm.Moving on... was the Singapore Flyer ride! And I did my job as a part-time paparazzi. Daphne is da supastar! :PPictures taken by yours truly:And what's a ride without CHIO BUs right?Happy man was I. :)And I think the nicest photo that entire night was this one taken by Willy:Also, kudos to Xianrong for this wonderful group photo! He actually (tak glam-ly) climbed up the railing of the cabin to take this shot! Thanks for the effort!More iccy piccy from the event!Oh they had this instant photo thingy at the event:by the amazing people from http://livestudios.sg!And I simply love this one!And I was doing this the whole night......that I missed the chance to take photos with the celebs! :(But fret not! With the power of photoshop, anything is possible!Jessica, not only I helped you fulfill your dream of a photo with Allan Wu, I'd also thrown in other celebs as well. :POkay, but if you look closer, we look awkwardly sandwiched between the celebs and that we're popping out of the sofa. Heh. Mai hiam lah okay? I would love to do a review on this chic LG60 if they were kind enough to pass me a review set! Hint hint. :PAnyway, the goody bag's da bomb!Apart from the usual press kit, it has a vcd (or is it a dvd?) that's inclusive of the promotional trailer, the behind-the-scenes special, high res photos of the tv and logos - all packed in a dvd case that's looking like a copy to be sold in stores! AND AND AND, also the key item in the goody bag, is a superultrauberly cool DIGITAL PHOTO FRAME!Now, you tell me why I love blogging. Heh.Many many many thanks to Sabrina, Gavin, Fleishman Hilliard & LG Scarlet for the invitation to this elegant and wonderful event!P/s: Lim peh painstakingly edited each and every pic in this post, please don't anyhow take and post them on your blog without crediting back to me HOR.

LIFE IS UNFAIR!!!
Come across with this on Ron's blog...OKAY, listen to this rendition of 'Ain't No Other Man'Like super awesome right?! It's quite unbelievable that a guy can sing Christina's songs that well. But if he's only good in singing and just like another Charice Pempengco case, then it's still okay, right? NO, THE THING IS, he's good looking as well!Singing Mariah Carey's 'All I want for Christmas is you'Alicia Key's 'No One'GOD IS DEFINITELY BIAS! He probably had like a bunch of elites in mind when he created humans. And to make them feel special, he create mediocre people like ME to make them look superior and feel prestige! That's why I say, LIFE IS UNFAIR! People with good looks and are super talented, automatically lives in lives full of admiration and envy eyes! And to think I'm not even counting in the FLITHY RICH idiots! In this modern context, if you're born with all these 3 privileges (rich, talented & beautiful/suave), you will definitely enjoy your life to the fullest and successfully hold a bunch of followers that will make you think that your life on earth is more worth it than anyone else.OH WELL, BACK TO TOPIC!SEE, EVEN A VIDEO OF A CRACK ON HIS WALL SOUNDS SO AWESOME:This guy is prolly called Lewis Stanson, is only 19 years old! ROAR!!!!!
500th post!
But I don't really have the "tradition" to celebrate my post count, do I?Well anyway, my first threadless orders came last week!Got them over the sale, so they cost only USD9 each! =DBut of course, since it's the sale, those nicer designs are gone within minutes! I actually wanted another design, but it was only left with one piece when I clicked on it. Then I added it to my shopping cart, and guess what? It's already gone!Anyhoo, I'm still glad that I managed to get something decent out of it though.Check them out today!
Nuffnang PJ Party Trip
YES I KNOW. It's like eons ago but I haven't blog about it yet can. And it's tons of videos and photos that I can't afford not to blog about!Hope my memory don't fail me as I recount about Nuffnang's birthday bash! AND this is going to be a long and laggy post with 40 photos and 10 youtube videos, so if anything doesn't show up, please refresh your browser again and again until you see ALL OF THEM OKAY!I initially wanted to edit the all videos into a single one, but god knows my iMovie decides to give me choppy videos and spastic sound that I had to give it up altogether. The best I could do was to chop them into different parts and voila, a total of 10 videos.WOKAY, before I digress even more, here goes...Early morning to gather at Nuffnang's office, and I was assigned to Scott's bus..After a tiring long ride, we arrived in KL!And finally checking in to Tunes Hotel! The walls of entire hotel is painted with this floral mural. Even the rooms! But if there's anyone that likes Nokia L'amour Series like me, they will know that it's the design Nokia had on their first series of the L'amour phones. So it was rather uncanny as if the hotel's sponsored by Nokia or something. But whatever! Nokia sucks! Well, it's not really the phones that suck, but the service centers that has fucking bad service. They're definitely losing their customers via the atrocious service centers. BAH! I shall blog about this some other time and not get sidetracked for now!So anyway, the hotel! After unpacking, a few of us went to Sungei Wang for food.It was a mad rush back afterwards! We had to gather at 5.30, and we got back only at 5.20! So Fab and I was the latest to come down, and everybody were waiting for us! *oops*While on the bus to the party, Valerie took a candid shot which I thought was super funny!Hahaha! Priceless look on my face! :PFast forward bus ride, and we reached Borneo Baruk Club!In case you can't see, my pajamas is silky, printed full with little red hearts and has two ribbons at the side of each sleeve. I think it was a bloody female pajamas lah! I was damn paiseh throughout the whole event can! :/Anyway, we got tagged and proceed into the club!Okay, here's the videos of some of the highlights of the event!Fastest item Wins!Emcee calls out for an item, the fastest person to run to him with it, wins a prize. The Birthday SongPrize giving! The most chipster packets in one photo - Maannn, he's mad!The quirkiest post - It's the chipster man!The best pajama - Valerie the chipster superwoman! The Bidding GameDawn Yang's KISS!!! We all had our contact exchanged during the bus ride, and not long after I got home, my inbox exploded with the nuffnangers' emails!Apparently, we are called the S.P.I - Social Playground Island! Not long after, the facebook group was set up and some time later, Nuffnang officially adopted SPI as the first Sub Party Group in Singapore! And shortly after, our blog is set up and I managed to give my 5 cents in the logo during my busy period!Yay, do check out the rest of the nuffnanger's blogs, the facebook group and the SPI blog! Nuffnang rocks!
Howdy, Stranger!
Ken Lee, ONCE AGAIN!
The media always like to exploit people's mistakes and use them as entertainment value. BUT NOBODY'S COMPLAINING! HAHA!Well, her pronunciation definitely improved, but we all just love her TULIBU LIBU DOUCHU, right?
BEDBUG INFESTATION! Argh!
I was checking my email on my bed when I saw this black dot scurrying across the bed sheet. The first thought that went through my mind,"FU.......... Don't tell me it's.........."and to my horror, YES - it's an effing BEDBUG!If you've no knowledge of bedbugs prior to this, let me introduce to you this FUCKENING (fuck + sickening combined) basturd, Mr. Bedbug:He's like this flightless mosquito, but with bites that itch a gazillion times more, AND the swells don't stop spreading when you scratch it, AND there'll be a TAMADE ugly scar left when it heals.I've been getting bedbug bites for a couple of months already and I was starting to wonder if I'm allergic to something in my room, simply because I couldn't find any traces of bedbugs in my clean room. This discovery will definitely hinder my sleep from now on. I'm probably not gonna sleep on this bed for the time being, though I'm still typing on this very bed now.I'm like damn sleepy can? I haven't sleep since last night and all that I can think of now is bedbugs, bedbugssss, BEDBUGSSSSSSS!!!The narrator is so cheery that it's damn irritating lah! Now I'm officially the SUCKEE. WTF.WAAAAAHH! I STILL CANNOT GET OVER THE FACT THAT I'D ACTUALLY SEEN FOR MYSELF - THAT BEDBUGS ARE OFFICIALLY CHECKING INTO MY ROOM SWEET ROOM.You know how people only get anxious ONLY after something happened to them? Well, this is the only time that I'm so serious in researching about bedbugs. And to my horror:(Scroll to 4:33 if you don't wanna watch the whole thing)Let me quote his words:"...but most importantly, you're gonna find blood stains. Where did the blood come from? CAME FROM YOU!"LOOK CLOSER AT MY BED SHEET!And I thought the blood stains were from my usual nose bleeding. (...yeah, I've got a nose bleeding problem, in case you didn't know)OHMYGUANYINMA!Nose bleed they are not! It's probably the happy trails of that BLOODY MONSTER!And the most fuckening thing has to be that MR.BEDBUG IS ONE TOUGH BUDDY. He can live for a year or as much as 18 months without feeding! Sunning your mattress will NOT do the trick either. AND even when you find him, he's so bloody FLAT that you probably have to squash him a gazillion times to make sure it's dead! When I caught him, I made sure I'd squashed him enough, THEN I opened the tissue to take a photo of it. GUESS WHAT?! He sprang back to life within a minute!WTF WTF WTFYou're probably wondering why I'm going on and on about this little fellow.WELL, YOU HAVE NO IDEA! YOU SHOULD SEE THE SCARS OF THE BITES! :(Okay, maybe I'm sleepy that's why I'm nagging so much. Guess I should blog whenever I'm sleepy. Haha. Anyhoo, I'm still freaking busy which means I'm still on hiatus.I just had to blog about this, ...I just had to.

Louis Vuitton Private Event
I was at the LV private event yesterday and it was my first time attending this kind of atas event, pretty cool!I brought my 400D along, but wasn't sure if photography was allowed so I smuggled some shots with the lousy camera on my phone. Ha!The displays were very arty farty! There were like lots of LV painted canvas and the new collections had painty grunge looks. They even had paint splatters on the floor, to which I wonder how they will remove after the season. These some some of the Summer collection:Monogram WatercolorMonogram Pulpand Monogram JokesThough I can't really appreciate how distinctly the words are printed across the bag, rendering it to look a wee bit like a bad imitation, IMHO.Some other pics:The canvas are actually mounted with monogram fabric, it'll be so cool to have one!See this bag that the staff was holding?Made of alligator skin and only 2 pieces in asia, it cost a whooping 74 THOUSAND. S$74,000! I can buy a car with that!Anyway there were champagne and delish delicacies during the event! And I fell in love with this pair of silver sneakers, which obviously is too atas for me! :\That guy in red, I think he should be around my age, BUT he's wearing a Corum watch, LV sneakers, Prada phone, Gucci hp lanyard, and god knows what's the brands of his apparels! DAMN! I bet he wears Topshop to sleep! RICH KIDS! ANNOYING! (...okay, maybe I'm being annoying myself. heh)Anyway, saw Yeo Yanyan from 881...Yah, only the back view 'cos it'll be damn loserish if I'm all star-crazed and ask to take photo with her, in front of so many atas people. Haha!Camwhored! Thanks Jaymie for bringing me along! :D
Trailer for the Nuffnang Movie
Kudos to Nadia's sexy narration, Fabian's patience while filming us, Happyslip's videos that inspired us, and my trusty iMovie & After Effects! So this is Nad's and my part of the birthday wishes for Nuffnang! Well, it's not really a birthday "wish" per se, but we'd decided to make it a lil more creative. And so, this is how the trailer would look like if Nuffnang had a movie!Oh wait, I've actually gotten some footage from the pajama party as well, so maybe this "trailer" works too, by enticing you guys for the upcoming video! So anyway, actors we are not! Check out the amount of NGs we had for that one particular scene:Ha!
LG KS20 Media Event
Last thursday, I was invited to attend the LG KS20 media event over at Corduroy Cafe! (remember the last time I was there?)All thanks to our lovely Princessa for the invite! It's organised by Fleishman-Hillard, which yet again, they did an awesome job!The crowd this time around was much bigger, with not only bloggers, and forumers from PPCSG were also invited. At first, I thought KS20 is the LG Prada phone! But...Excerpt from DK:The KS20 is a cool looking smart phone. It looks like the LG Prada phone in many ways. But unlike the Prada phone, the KS20 is a smart phone which runs Windows Mobile 6.0. The KS20 has a 2.8″ 65K color touchscreen TFT display. It’s HSDPA (which is great if you have a mobile broadband SIM card) and also has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth 2.0. And FM radio too.The beautiful models demoed the phone, and also let us have hands-on experience - with the phone, I meant. HeheThough I don't really fancy Windows Mobile, KS20 looks really chic like its predecessor and it's definitely something I'll go for, in terms of its appearance, and along with its wireless functions. After which, we also had a scrumptious dinner buffet! And then came the lucky draw! Which I'm the most unlucky when it comes to this instant lucky draw kind-of-thing. Estee was the lady luck that night and she won the KF600, which is not even launched in Singapore yet!AND of cos, with bloggers around, camwhoring is a must!with Sabrina aka Princessawith Esther aka Ice Angelwith Peggy aka Thy Dowagerwith Nadia aka Nadnutwith Qiaoyun aka SheylaraEveryone has a nickname! DAMN I NEED ONE TOO! And I realised my smile is the same throughout! Bleah!Anyway, I actually took more pictures with other bloggers like Claudia and Rina but they either turned out blurry or my face looks crappy. So, yeah.Once again, THANKS LG, Sab and Fleishman!
