The one about FLOAT......
This is a really delayed post...lol... Was recently invited to the 'FLOAT party that was organised by The Butter Factory. FLOAT is actually the very first hip-hop dance party to be organised on the Marina Bay floating platform!Being the first time to the platform i was actually very keen to check out the event and it was really fortunate that our hotel was able to be the official hotel for the event. It had a really awesome line up of artistes and DJs as well too! Djs such as Hapa, Ivy V, Lika were all there to make the event really awesome! Not to mention special performances by Beatboxers as well as a Taiwanese rapping group known as Tha Homies! But of course to top it all up was that there were many friends attending the event too! Managed to have lotsa fun together with the rest being heading home reluctantly..I Can't wait for FLOAT 2 next year!
The one about Mad Hatters......
Thank you Su for the invite to the MadHatters party that was held at the White Rabbit! As pre-empted, the place was a tad difficult to find as the instruction we recieved was just that it was slightly off from dempsey road. However, it was a fantastic place indeed, and as we all know a great location is a begining of a great event!Once again there was lots to look out for during the event Carricatures, Tarot card readings (With suprisingly accurate results), Games (That came with Prizes), Lucky Draws (That came with even more Prizes), Interesting Food (The raw Minced beef in particular) and FreeFlow of Booze (Ohh Yeahhhh.........)It acted as a nice nights out with colleagues.. well, not the entire team was able to make it but then again it is a start isn't it? Utt was hosting the event this time round (great to catch up with ya man!), and the girls were just dying to get a picture with him! hahaa.... ladykiller... Went home for Prata at Thomson road before heading home in a happily buzzed and contented state!
The one about Hawaii.....
Company Dinner and Dances are always fun... coz firstly it is an excuse to get off early at work and secondly it is also an excuse to drink on the job. And last tuesday was finally the long awaited D&D for 2008.The theme this time round is Hawaii and boy were we all dressed up for the event. Cash being the brains behind the conceptualisation of the event, the result was pretty good indeed! Lets just say there were dancers doin the Hula... and embarassing moments for many of us... haha... me included!
The one with the drifting....
Decided to attend the Singapore motorshow held at Suntec city last saturday. It has been quite a while since the previous one tha had been organised so i decided to check i our. Suprisingly, i kinda enjoyed it much more as compared to the Super Import Nights car show that was held the week before.Lots of new cars on display as well as exhibitors showcasing their products this time round. Whats more is that with every purchase of a entry ticket you will also get a free mini ice cream cone and complimentary access to the Russell Swift Car Stunt show. The Car stunt show was really awesome! Seemed just like something that came out of the 'Fast and the Furious' movie set. Was really impressed that i had to take a picture as well as autograph with the guys. Am looking forward to the next one already!
The one about two parties...
Had two different parties to attend last friday. One was the 100.3 anniversary party held at powerhouse (courtesy of invitation by daphne) And the other was the F1 post party that was held at Dbl O (Courtesy of invitation by Cash. Had to rush off from work to powerhouse to deliver vouchers first as we were a Co sponsor for the event. Managed to reach there in time, it was a really popular and fun event! Got to see Ken and Jianwen almost making out... hahaha gross.... Had a little difficulty in trying to get drinks due to the crowd though so didn't manage to stay for long. So decided to head over to the F1 post party.Onces again its what i call a BBB event (Babes, Beats, Booze) but hey, then again that is the perfect combination for a whole night of fun. Joey decided to pop by too alongside other friends as well. Kind of reminded me of the Frutti Tutti parties they used to hold in Dbl O. Ended up getting prety smashed by the end of the event! Popped by MOS a while but didn't get to stay long though! Oh man.... Alchoholism... haha
The one about Chivas and Chicane.....
I have always been a fan of trance music, hot favourites of course included PVD, Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto... etc... Recently got introduced to the musical sounds of Chicane of 'Saltwater' fame... (cool stuff) and i got myself absolutely hooked onto it!Kudos to the people from Chivas Live for bringing him in as a featured artiste this time round. The party was held at a totally interesting location as well! it is the now defunct River Valley Swimming Pool a.k.a RVP (River Valley Pool).Apart from the unbearable heat this time around i have to say this was one of the more enjoyable partys which i have attended this time round! Great company (All thanks to Beckie, Daphdaph, Merv and gang), Great Drinks (Chivas all the way!!!) and Great Music (Chicane all the way!!!) made up the cocktail for a night of pure fun!
The One with BMW Sauber F1.....
I won't exactly call myself a huge fan of the F1 GPs coz by saying so it would just make me a fadish poseur. However I would say that the Singapore GP had stirred a little interest in me with regard to the F1 races in general, enough interest in me trying to find out who are the curent top 5 drivers in the F1 circuit.Recieved an invitation from Nadia a week before on whether would i be interested to attend the meet and greet session of the BMW Sauber F1 team. I was thankful and accepted the offer in an instant. Met up slightl earlier at Ikea with Nadia for a lunch of meatbals and chicken wings (her treat! thanks Nad!) before heading over to performance motors for the event. Realised that perhaps i should not even have ate at all because there was food provided! Dammit..... by Raffles hotel some more... The meet and greet session was really awesome. The race car itself was on display, we got to hear from the entire BMW Sauber team on how the mechanics work for the whole team to strive towards success in the event and race. The racers commented on what did they feel about the Marina Bay Circuit among other topics. Each of us got to walk away with some goddies from BMW as well! And Yes..... There was a photo opportunity with Robert Kubica and Nick Hiedfeld too... AWESOME!
The one about Paul Anka...
Alright... recently i realised i have been grouping all my blog entries together so now i am gonna tryy blogging this weeks events. Bought myself a pair of Paul Anka tickets for his concert on monday. This strange thing was that i have never heard much of his work with the exception of the song from the Kodak Commercial also known as 'Times of your life'. But as my Dad have been telling me so much about what a fantastic performer Paul is, i decided to grab a pair of tickets to check it out.The next task was to get a date for the concert and somehow the first person that came to mind was SHARON! Lol... I told her about it after that and she went 'You think i am so old meh???' No la.... i just thought she is able to appreciate the music. We met slightly ealier to have dinner at Brewerkz, took us quite a while to decide on what to order and we finally settled for 3 appetizers as we did not want to over order. However, what we did not expect was for the portions to be that HUGE... didn't manage to finish it of course. The concert itself was great! Paul was incredibly energetic for a man in his late 60s! From his well know hits such as 'Diana' to songs that he written for others such as 'My Way' by Sinatra and to his own version of rock songs sang in a different way such as 'Jump' by Van Halen. I never expected it but i enjoyed every single bit of the concert. Will be considering picking up a copy of his album 'Rock Swings'. Special thanks to Sharon for keeping me company that evening as well as the awesome treat. Thanks!
The One with Cars, Girls and Drinks....
What i initially felt was going to be the most hectic birthday turned out to be a pretty enjoyable and memorable one too! Big Thanks to all that made it a happy occasion for me.Popped by Expo to Check out the Super Import Nights Convention together with Chermaine and it was a real eye opener for me! The One about Butter factory!
Oh yes...as many would have known by now.. i love comics. And once in a while i would allow some serious indulgence by making some really HUGE purchases (they are not cheap k...) And my latest purchase is something that i have set my eyes on for quite a while WORLD WAR HULK!! woohooo! Have never actually been a huge fan of the Hulk but there was something about this series that looked really appealing and its very nice indeed! So i am gonna take it as a Birthday Present to myself!Head over to The Butter Factory Art Bar on Satuday to Celebrate Me and Javerns Birthday (again). Even though there were quite a number of last minute cancellations , No shows and some that perhaps just didn't want to come. The one with Wala~ Wala~
Had a pretty slow start to a saturday a i had to prepare for my hosting gig at the cathay. Turned out to be a rather interesting gig as such that it involved the people of Timezone as well as F1. Rather interesting concept of organising a virtual Grand prix so as to create awareness for the real event that would be held on th 28th. Met up with Javern and gang after the gig for dinner and Drinks at Walawala. It has been a while since i have actually been there and it was great fun as usual to be able to chill with friends. Thanks for the Jaggerbomb sis!Met up with Casse again on Sunday as she was taking part in a Straits time Makeover competition. There were a total of 163 competitors who were taking part! Talk about huge! Hahaha...

Rushed off to Cityhall to meet up with Javern but not before i dropped by Simply Toys to grab a present for Javern..Haha... Casse, Huirong and Elaine paid a special visit to the party as well!Too bad the room had a back to back booking or we would most definately have extended the booking.
The one with the Harley....
Oh man... i have seriously been slacking a lot with regards to my frequency of blogging. Haha... hopefully once a week is still considered a pretty healthy figure. Was invited by Casse to attend the Ms Maxim 2008 Finals and i am still pretty glad that she did! (Btw Casse was a Finalist for the Miss Maxim Search 2007) Had lots of fun and got a swell goodie bag out of it too! head over to Kandi bar for some drinks after that and bumped into Liza who was trying to find a place to chill... hehe small world.Met up with May and Javern again on Saturday to Check out Comex. Once again as usual met up with a few familiar faces. Comex this year actually occupied almost the entire convention centre and as usual, there was an entire swarm of ppl. The one with a walking bottle of Vodka......
Recieved Invites from Joe to the Choya party held at Majestic bar on Thursday. Suprisingly, call me a suaku but this was actually the first time i tried Choya. And it was quite nice! be a little cautious when you ntry to eat the plum though...(remember it had been soaked in alchohol)Following which Headed down to MOS to celebrate Judy's birthday! It was a total Blast! The general theme for the party was school boys and girls with Judy herself as the discipline mistress, Samantha as the teacher in charge and the rest of us as students. Not to mention there was lots of Alchohol and Dancing involvedRushed off from work the next day to attend the FHM ultimate threesome magic party (thats a mouthful) together with Javern and Connie. It was just like every single FHM party except that this time there was a magical performance by JC Sum and Magic Babe Ning. Decided to make a jackass of myself by taking part in the 42 below Vodka challenge and won and additional copy of this months FHM as well (Cheh...... I am a subscriber so... pointless sia) But Since we were already in the partying mood, we head over to Fashion bar after the party for more drinks followed by joining Cash and gang over at MOS for even more serious partying.Took the next two days slow though, took part in a random Reading excercise at Wheelock place with Nurun and her Cousin followed by catching a movie and meeting up with Iris and Jacqueline for dinner at Thai Express after that.
The one with Alchohol, Coffee and Ktv pubs....
The weekend started off pretty eventful with the Press Club party held at the Piano Bar of GCW. Pretty swell party and met lotsa people from the industry while at it. Recieved invites for the Launch of FMTV last week and i almost clearly forgot about it! Was glad that i attended it thoughas it was definately great to catch up with a few unexpected friends that i bumped into again. The event also was part of FMTV to spot models for their upcoming international model search, saw quite a number of hopefuls there. Good Luck y'all! Special thanks going out to a few friends who have been offering a listening ear and advice lately. Really appreciate the fact that y'all have been objective to the whole situation that i have been through as opposed to being subjected to non expressed biased judgement based on selective listening and a incomplete understanding of situations. Will be catching up with everyone soon!
With Sam and Rach... Tks! (you know why)With Lovynn...
Keeping Walking.....
Attended the Exclusively black eventheld at Dbl O on Friday. Quite frankly speaking, in terms of how the party was organised. I kinda preferred the previous time they had an event at pool room bar. However, in terms of company... this one takes the cake. Kind of felt like a small reunion of sorts too. Well, definately had fun there! And did i mentioned i had a doorgift too?hehehe!
