Tapi saya tahu, ada segelintir pembaca saya yang tidak tahu langsung berbahasa Melayu, salah satunya kerana beliau orang German (Im sorry Sybille, but this entry has to be in Malay). Jadi apa kata saya didik mereka berbahasa melayu.Penyedut hampagas: Vacuum cleaner.Okay dah penat mendidik, mari teruskan entri ini.Puasa memang kadang-kala membosankan. Tapi ia memang sepatutnya begitu, sebab bulan inilah kita beribadah semampu-mampunya. Satu hari, tahap kebosanan adik-adik saya melampaui batas, mereka mengambil flyer Giant dan mengadakan pertandingan melukis flyer Giant terbaik menggunakan MS Paint. Ya saya terharu kerana mereka seakan-akan berusaha ingin mewarisi kehebatan saya dengan MS Paint. Lawak sangat mereka kerana begitu bersemangat siap ada had masa (30minit seorang) lagi semua. Haha. Tapi setelah beberapa ketika, menampal gambar cili kering dan kubis segar di MS Paint tidak begitu menarik lagi, maka Hafiiz didatangi mentol bercahaya di atas kepala (idea), dan berkata "OKAY JOM KITA LUKIS BANNER BELOG KAKAK HANIS, SIAPA PALING TEPAT AND CANTIK DIA MENANG." Diikuti oleh "SIAPA MENANG HAFIIZ MASAKKAN UNTUK DIA" (sebab risau tiada siapa nak turut serta pertandingan beliau). Haha sayang adik aku.Pertandingan pun bermula. Alisya hampir menangis, tapi dimarahi Hafiiz. Fierce gila pertandingan tersebut. Okay saya tahu kamu semua tidak sabar melihat hasilnya. Mempersembahkan (skema wtf):Oleh: Alisya.Kenapa ianya comel: Sumpah tiba-tiba ada arnab besar sebelah handbag.Oleh: Hafiiz.Kenapa ianya comel: Ultraman gemuk.Oleh: Imran.Kenapa ianya comel: Amat terperinci. Haha bangang.
How to mother kittens
Its been a sad day yesterday. I burried two kittens at the back of my house. One was Audy's, another one was a stray kitten from the the back alley. Audy has been diagnosed with Sporox, few years back, however still managed to give birth to healthy kittens of Baby Phat's batch. This time around however, we're not so lucky. There used to be 5, and now there are 2.On a happier note, kittens do act like human babies! Too cute!Sometimes they give you a stare as if they're trying to recognise you. Sometimes they just want to roll around all day long. Sometimes they just dont give a damn to the surroundings.Sometimes, they pretend like they're going to cry. There are times when they want to play with you.But most of the time, they just want their mother. And mother cat do act like a human mother as well. Sometimes things get out of hands. And they just want to get a good stretch.Rest in peace, August Kiss. OhSoRandom: I had the best Sambal Paru for sahur today. Yes my mom makes the best Sambal Paru in the world, envy me.
Is fasting the best diet?
Ever since I was in primary school, my chinese or indian friends would always ask me this (when I'm fasting), "Will you die?"/ "Adakah kamu akan dijemput oleh Malaikat Maut?". And my constant reply would be "It's not like that at all" I sighed. Oh oh I remember one of my chinese classmate when I was in standard 1, who told me he wanted to convert into Muslim but his parents wont allow (duh youre 7years old, kid)and the first thing I told him was " Belilah buku teks agama darjah satu"/"Why dont you get yourself Agama Islam's Standard 1 text book." Okay this story does not have anything to do with fasting, it's just that I tiba2 teringat. OKAY MOVING ON. I dont think fasting alone is the best way to lose weight. First you have 'sahur', sahur is the time (before sunrise), that you eat whatever you want. And my tips is that when you sahur, you taste everything you have in the house, so during day time, you can look down to the food and say "HNNNS (no not Hanis, but hnsss, like a hissing sound), IVE TASTED YOU." That way, you wont crave for it, brilliant, I know. I had chilli crabs for sahur today! And chocolate chip and dates (its a fruit. not like dating during sahur) and rempeyek and and yeah banyak lagi. But seriously, dates alone, will give you all the energy you need during day time. THATS WHY WE ARE NOT DYING PEOPLE. As soon as we've finished our sahur just now, Alisya went all"OKAY THATS 13HOURS BEFORE WE EAT AGAIN". Wtf gila. So yeah, after the 13 hours of not eating and not drinking, then only we could break fast (not breakfast like sarapan, but break our fast) once we hear the azan Maghrib. Yes you would think we would gobble up all the food like a turkey gobble gobble, but actually, no matter how delicious and no matter if the food on the table have like wide variety (tau foo fa, air tebu, dadih, murtabak, ayam percik, apam balik, kebab, eleh macam aku tak tau je apa korang beli kat bazaar) hohoh, we wont eat that much. A drink and a plate of food would be enough. Amazing aint it? Its so beautiful :') Would you lose weight by fasting alone? It depends on your body really. Some would lose weight, and some would gain. But if you do enough prayers, now thats the best way to tone up and lose weight. Beats the gym hands down. TAPI JANGANLAH RUKUK 3SAAT, SUJUD 4SAAT, MALAS GILA. Okay thats about it on fasting, for now. But whats an entry without picture right?I PRESENT TO YOU, HANIS ZALIKHA BEFORE SHE KNOWS HOW TO FAST. Huk alah takyah ah teka yang mana.

I hate motorcyclist driving in the rain and losing control and sliding towards in front of your car and falling on the road. It happens you know. To me. Twice. It feels awkward like of course it's not your fault, you didnt even touch him and he falls right in front of you and to wait for him to get back on his motorcycles takes forever and the awkward silence is awful and you look at him and wait for him to look at your pity stare. I SWEAR TO GOD ITS KILLING ME.
Rambutan, Pulasan, Manggis, Durian
I'm so tired but I cant complain. Since this is what I want and this is what Ive chosen. Just got back from a shoot for another fashion spread. I love photoshoots because you get to wear clothes that you would have never picked off the rack, but once you wear it, it actually looks good on you, and now that you know, you'll go to the store and get the same thing as what you wore for the shoot :) And today is no different. The sponsor were Topshop and all the other brands of the same company like Miss Selfridge and Dorothy Perkins etc. Usually I dont even go into these stores except Tospshop because Topshop has Kate Moss sizes, but after experiencing the other two brands myself, I'm loving it. But I need to find myself some large clips so that the clothes would fit nicely, just like at the photoshoots, sarcasm.Today I met this awesome make up artist called Najib. He used to work as a steward but he quit and went to Indonesia for make up course because his real passion is make up. Wow. And and all of his make up stuff is brand new because some bastard broke his car and stole his large fancy make up bag, the one with light bulbs and all, and he was complaining because he said that he has lost his identity because people always call him Najib Mentol. And now its just gonna be Najib which is not commercial and sounds like my uncle's name. I know the feeling. I broke my sunglasses few days ago and now I feel less of a model. I need to get a new one because you know how it is, you have few pairs of jeans or few handbags or few sunglasses of different shades, but you'll only wear one forever, the one that is really close to your heart and what makes you, YOU. I need to go back to KL Tower and buy the exact sunglasses I just broke so that I'll be the same Hanis again (alasan). Who buys sunglasses from KL Tower T_T I know I damn touristy, you dont have to say twice.Yes everyone is talking about the Tongue In Chis launch party, only because its so awesome. But I didnt take any pictures, okay I did, then it turned out real ugly because my face looked so tired, so I stopped. Why I looked so tired? Because I just got back from my kampung! Poor Imran who got sick just in time for the kampung trip. This is why we're so excited! Fruits season!Okay I know from the picture look like damn chokiah got sikit je buah at the pokok, but actually got alot, and yeah whatever semangat gila explain. Anyway we reached kampung quite late already so we slept really late (now semangat trying to explain why I woke up late the next day, why am I like this T_T). So yes, I woke up late the next day, and I woke up to this:My God, My God, look! Haha team work. You can see from the picture that they work together to hit the tree (so that fruits will fall to the ground) with a long wooden stick (galah).Picking up the fallen rambutans.Picking up the fallen rambutans.Picking up the fallen rambutans.Anyway I'd like to take this op to congratulateAudy for giving birth to tikus makmal (lab mice).AUDY MAKES SUCH A BEAUTIFUL MOTHER.
Model's skincare regime
Backstage Times Square, 16. 08. 08.Ask any of my model friends, and they would agree that one's skin condition is very important in booking jobs. Okay apart from height, facial features, and body proportion of course, bebeh. As a model, your skin have to be in tip top condition. Why? Because photoshopping takes time. And and omg if your skin is bad, you will, I mean, YOU WILL horrify other models because make up artist only use one make up sponge for all the model's faces blegh. And even if you only do runway, your skin still have to be flawless (except for unavoidable occasional break outs) because when the stage light hits your face, no matter how thick your foundation or concealer is, your pores and acne scars will outshine the dress youre wearing, and of course, you. Okay I know your mind is still thinking about the evil make up sponge I mentioned earlier, but lets move on shall we (with more on these sponges!)More reasons why we, models, need to take care of our skin like its our baby. Omg talking about babies, I want a skin like baby's bottom hohoh. Okay sorry I shall proceed now. Because like I mention ealier, evil make up sponges gasp, we always meet them, for photoshoots, runways or events. So we must cleanse, tone and mosturise properly once we get back from work. Okay its wrong for me to blame on just the sponges because make up brushes and other applicators are evil too, but lets focus on mother of all evil okay. Reason number two, because our skin get tired real easily since our job consists of make up make up and more make up! Dont get me wrong, I love getting made up by different people everyday, like you know, you sit there, and wait for the outcome (different outcome everytime!). How exciting is that cause like usually if the make up person is ugly, sure your make up will turn out ugly wtf why am I revealing all these? But yeah its so much fun and while your make up is being done, theres like a team of people waiting to do your hair, yes, feel like a majesty. Okay reason number three, late night events. We have to attend late night events (okay actually its not late night, its at night, but untill late night, and of course you'd stay till late when a bunch of your dingdong dancing friends is around) and that would further enhance our eyebags or dark eye circles. No amount of foundation could cover this baby up. And obviously, the next morning we have to wake up like super duper early to rehearse for shows inside mall before the the mall is open (because they want to surprise all the customers with the choreography so must rehearse fast before they start coming in errr?). Trusted brand for my skin is Kiehl's skin range! This, I shall recommend to all the models out there (and non models too because deep down inside, everybody is a model, please lah weh, obvious okay your Facebook pictures all hohoh). Anyway Kiehl will be launching its new range of skin care which is The Ultra This And That (okay the name is not that cool lah, why am I making everything sound so cool, because I'm cool, that must be it, but the toner is Ultra Toner and the mosturiser is Ultra Mosturiser, yeah you get the idea). So I'll be having the Kiehl's product launching party (get your invites people!) this coming Wednesday, 28th August 2008. Where? Right here at Kiehl's Pavilion: And you can get free skin consultation prior tothe launching at their own consultation counter!OMG IS THIS THE REAL SECRETTO BABY'S BOTTOM SKIN??!Not only that honeyh, you will get to meet your favourite models of MDG fame in person and actually poke them or talk to them and ask them their own beauty regime! She loves Kiehl's.She loves Kiehl's even more.Fiqa and Jay for Kiehl's.So send in your photos with ILOVEKEHL'S written on some recyclable item at haniszalikha@hotmail.com before 24th of August (Sunday) to get invited to my event.Venue: Kiehl's store, Pavilion KL.Date: 27th August 2008 (Wednesday)Time: 7.30pm-9.00pmF&B: Coffeebean and Tealeaf.Theme: Clean.Haha. Who knows you might find one of these in your goodie bag :)
Anak gadis ke perlawanan bolanya yang pertama
Okay saya akui. CHE MEK MOLEK COME TO ME. Bangang. In a way, macam semua bersatu padu, kerjasama, muhibbah, okay lebih-lebih. OMG!
Belog orang melayu/ The malay blogs
Ive been wanting to talk about this for quite some time already. Malay blogs. I'd love to read more malay blogs/blogs that are written in malay (-_-"). Somewhere out there I'm sure there are wicked malay blogs, something similar and as crappy as mine but written in malay (admitting own blog as crappy). I WANT TO READ THEM. Please suggest some links that might be interesting (I'm easy to please with reading materials) and if it's any good, I'd love to put it in my Lambloghini/Wanderblogs. Ive stumbled upon few good ones over the past few days though, but I didnt manage to memorize the address (lousy excuse). Did you know? Ive tried blogging in malay for one of my entry, and I got carried away (like serious shit you shouldve read it), and crapped for 7 paragraphs, about something random. Why am I so good in crapping? I blame my dad for this. Moving on, malay wedding!Weddings at the Hilton. Or is it wedding of the Hilton? Heh.Never a dull moment with these bunch of people. I love us in MPV :)My siblings and I, with the guy whose sister is getting married. Haha okay he's Abg Hery and he's my sister's boyfriend. I hope they get married soon because I see his face everyday already. (Okay actually he's a great guy because Im using his laptop now haha) This is the pelamin. Pelamin is where malay bride and groom sit and smile and watch people eat from far and wait for the elderly to come and spray them with rose water. Little brother. My other little brother, Muhammad Khairi, the one I taught how to read and write :') Its very rare to see him here in my blog, and thats because he's smart and he got himself into a boarding school. Im a proud sister (and teacher, yeah baby). Might look like some random photo but actually its one of my favourite because Kakak Liana looked so cute while crapping something unimportant. Halamak control siot. Pergh pewit pewit. Haha awesome light effects behind us. Something for the guest to bring home. They put some Indon cake inside it. I miss the old fashion bunga telur (egg flower) dammit! Oh and inside the silver Hilton box, were some delicious white and dark chocolates!Okay thats all. My lousy camera died on me so I didnt manage to capture more nice nice pictures. Haha you realise or not, pictures of bride and groom is not here? When they came in, I was already eating (greedy), so lazy want to turn around and take picture haha. Anywayyy my favourite time of the year is coming up! HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI! Rasa macam baru semalam potong que budak kat masjid nak ambik air bandung lepas tarawikh. Haha bangang.Aidilfitri is coming up! Have you place your order for raya cookies? If you havent, what are you waiting for people? Email my mom at shinarostam@yahoo.com for awesome, 1day can finish everything, raya cookies! (Advertorial, but not getting paid wtf)BM version: Aidilfitri hampir menjelang tiba! Telah kah anda menempatkan membuat tempahan untuk kuih raya? Jikalau belum, apa yang anda tunggu lagi orang (people)? Emel emak saya di shinarostam@yahoo.com untuk kuih raya yang hebat, satu hari boleh habiskan semuanya! Okay from all of the above (fyi, these are only some of the raya cookies my mom has to offer, the rest can check out at her blog) the bottom left is my uber favourite, I cannot describe the taste its too delicious. Its like salty but sweet and nestumy (bad at describing taste of food). But yeah, you can ask for sample! Photographer of raya cookies: Hanis Zalikha.OhSoRandom: Olympics opening night was the shiznit! Im so proud of Malaysian contingent (because the guy holding the flag was Hasni Awang) haha.
Make up guide
Make Up Class For Me and You.Before I start with my 'Make Up Class For Me and You' (sound so barney-like happiness), I'd like to begin with the great start of my day. If youve been an avid reader, you would know how much I love getting mails! No, not emails blegh (emails are often work-related and so preppy and proper, which I am not). But the 'old fashion way of sending messages and things' mails! Mails always put a smile to my face! So today while I was feeling so lonely and jiwang because my loved ones are so far away, studying and some, jogging, I received mails! The first one contained, dolls! Joyce sent me the dolls for the Tongue In Chic launch, which I'll be coming up with the outfit designs. These hand-made dolls will be exhibited at the launch, 50 will be presented to media as invites, and the remaining given out as door gifts to all the guests at the end of the night. Each doll is to be dressed in different designs by people of various backgrounds (primarily fashion design) - designers, photographers, writers, shop owners - pretty much anyone who is in the industry, has design sense and can sew (I'm honoured). Such an exciting project XDThe dolls. Guys must close eyes.Okay can open now. This one censored already.WITH THE INVITATION CARD TO JAY'S ENGAGEMENT PARTY! (The second thing I found in my mailbox, awww)Random sms messages by two budak gemuks.Hasni: We need to shop.Figa: Yes we do!Hasni: What the?? You need to ask me "shop for what" so that I can reply "for Jay's gift".Figa: OMG WHEN IS JAY'S BIRTHDAY?Hasni: What the?? For her engagement party lah budak gemuk nombor 1.Figa: Ish you ni what the what the. Haha okay cool! You cakap saja, kita pergi.Hasni: Cakap ngan budak belum mandi memang kena banyak what the.Figa has this habit of leaving the convo just like that without saying goodbye, so after few hours:Hasni: You taknak cakap byebye sebab taknak berpisah dengan I eh?Moving on, oh yes, the make up class! THE MAKE UP CLASS FOR ME AND YOU. I was the model for Lancome Colour Design Apperentice. I was the canvas, the canvas that can talk, and take picture and listen to make up tips. So I shall share with you what I have learnt from the make up course and we can all learn how to perfect our make up, how to be a professional make up artist or even how to use cheap make up and still look good.Naughty canvas, taking pictures while lesson was conducted.Naughty canvas also went to the back of the class and took pictures. But pictures of naughty canvas after the make up is done are not with her, omg why am I calling myself naughty canvas, oh because Im annoying like that. Anyway, make up tips!First of all, I would like to explain to you that make up is about blending and covering imperfections, and doing surgery to the face without using knife only use concealer and dark tone foundation. And and make up is also about achieving the look you need to carry for certain occasions to suit your outfit. (This is what naughty canvas heard from the teacher)If you follow the rules, step by step, you can never go wrong. Unless you are colour blind.1. Cleanse, tone, mosturise. (Pamper skin first before proceeding)2. Its all about complexion. Foundation (light first, as the base, continue with darker tone for shading) followed by blusher. Dark coloured foundation is your weapon people. This is to replace knife in plastic surgery. You must shade whichever parts you want to cut off. Three main parts : Jawline, under cheekbones, and sides of your nose.3. Blend. You must blend the foundations because you would not want to look like you have one dark line along your jaw, like you have janggut. Tips: You can use eyeliner (but make sure you blend really well) if you dont have darker tone foundation for the shading. Next, apply powder or bronzer powder, your choice, to the whole face. Must blend. Everything must blend.4. Enhance eyebrows with eyebrow pencil. Tips: Should get darker as the line reaches the end of the brow, not the other way around, to avoid looking fierce.5. Apply eyeshadows and blend blend blend. Different colour ideas.6. Apply eyeliner. Tips: To avoid eyeliner from getting smudge, apply powdery stuff (eg. eyeshadow of the same colour as eyeliner) soon after you apply the eyeliner. If you want bigger eyes, I dont know how to give. But if you want bigger looking eyes, you should draw white eyeliner along the inner part of the bottom eyelid, followed by black eyeliner along the outer part.7. Mascara. One stroke downwards and the rest are all upwards.8. Highlight your features that you want to enhance. Highlight it with normal powder highlight or (cheaper) just use concealer. Areas you should highlight: T-zone, under the arch of eyebrows, along nose bridge and tip of your chin. Blend blend blend.9. Draw out your lips with lipliner followed by lipstick with the shade of your choice and lipgloss. Tips: To avoid leaving your lipstick prints all over the place (coffee mug, your son's cheek, your teeth, some guy's collar), use colourless coating by Lancome, Juicy Coat (not advert). Lancome Colour Design Apperentice is basically a competition looking for the next Lancome national make up artist. So on day two, the make up artists get to test their skill on the models (this is where all the other models come in). I was there on day two too, and I brought along my sister Liana! Whenever Im working and get to bring sis Liana along, or even better, to have her do the work together, I always feel like the bigger sister. Im so proud of my sister :')Sisterhood! I love sisters! They tell you to get real. The make up artist. The model.EH HOW COME MY ONE GOT NO FLOWER?The model.Okay better.Evon, Sharon and Hanis.Sharon and I couldnt stop giggling while the make up artists were doing their presentation. Some of them were really off theme. I mean seriously, mine was CEO/Manager look. HAHA.My skin fet so tired after those make up sessions so I got myself this!Inside it is actually this amazing plus relaxing facial mask, Brightening Botanical Hydrating Mask by Kiehl. I love the packaging of this product, so expensive looking wtf, it is expensive T_TI just discovered that my webcam is fixed so yeah must camwhore.Ekekekeke I love my webcam :P
Who is in my secret fantasy
I went to watch Hancock with my siblings and Liana's boyfriend the other day, and I saw this poster with Jordan Chan at the front part (old, got eyebags but still attractive hoh) and I was all LETS WATCH THIS INSTEAD. But nobody was with me because we've been wanting to watch Hancock for quite some time already *paiseh*. I couldve watch it alone and miss the siblings togetherness (that I love so much, the best thing in the world), so I passed. The movie starring Jordan Chan is KungFu Hip Hop (sound so cool already T_T), so if any of you happen to watch please fill me in (I beg youuuuuuuuuu, eh why sound so desperate, must stop typing 'u' now).Jordan Chan Siu Chun is my favourite actor since forever and nobody can beat, ever, not even Joni Dep (see I dont even know how to spell that guy's name *pretend*). Before I go to sleep I think of him. When I eat and Im still hungry, its because of him. When I shower and I'm not wet, its because of him. Haha. I remember I used to have this poster (I wish I could say giant poster so you would know how much I love him, but where can find such poster, unless I go and steal his life size cardboard cutout at some optical shop) at my room and before I go to school I'd say byebye to him hohoh. And I used to put this picture of him in Who I'd Like To Meet section and thought I was cool. I AM COOL (-_-")Okay some of you who read this and do not know who he is until I show you this picture, might think like wtf why this girl so blind T_T, but let me explain to you, NOOOO HE'S ACTUALLY REAL HANDSOME WHEN IN MOTION. WHEN HE'S MOVING WHEN HE'S ACTING.He's so funny and funny is sexy! You always see in movies that bad guys always win. But if theres a funny guy, at the end funny guy will win. Funny guy always win! Funny is the first thing any girl should look in a guy, then only rich and handsome (rich and handsome comes in second, not rich in second, handsome in third, no not like that, rich must come with handsome, both in second, but funny must first why so lengthy the explanation I wonder. But seriously, kind-hearted should come in second *trying to explain self*) You should watch 3.a.m and Haunted Office (all these are real scary till you always feel like someone is at your back but actually got no one, for three weeks straight) and its funny and scary and Jordan Chan looked so cute when he's scared okay, you feel like you want to hug him and suddenly not scared of ghosts and can fight back (just for him). And you should also watch him in Those Were The Days and Initial D *drools*. I dont know why but he always get the macho gangster part or macho hero part. Maybe because whatever he does is macho (pretending to wonder but actually know the answer already, he is macho duh. Wtf I hate the word 'duh'. Why did I use it? Oh only for Jordan Chan). You know how funny he is? Let me tell you how funny he is. He starred in this film in 2003, and it is called Men Suddenly In Black. HAHAHA WHY GOT 'SUDDENLY' THERE? CHEAP FUNNIER VERSION OF MEN IN BLACK IS IT?? HAHA *laughing while crying then went to run on treadmill*I think youve had enough of my secret fantasy, Jordan Chan The Chun, but what the hell I still want to talk about him. Okay actually thats all. Haha. OhSoRandom: This might be a lil bit late already, but I want to crap about my first experience watching live football match (Chealsea vs Malaysia) on my next post, I hope.

My supermom, as usual, would wake up early every morning. So she finished mowing the lawn by the time we kids got up. Yawn yawn eh WAAH SO SHORT THE GRASS.Immediately, without taking a bath first, we helped her to trim all the trees and plants . Okay I doubt we would help if we already have :P Notice the tempayan there?Thats where we keep all the fishes Alisya caught from the last fishing trip at nearby lake. The boys. Candid shot by supermom. Haha I was super focus. After I had my shower, I made everyone pancakes! With the guide of cut-out recipe of course. Heh :BEh must pose with recipe if not, fail as blogger. Back to being a brunette
Sebastian Course, Wella Center.Day 1.IM READY FOR A CHANGE. We're so lucky (us models) to get our hair done by Japanese hairstylists, two of them, and one from Taiwan. I got bored with my red hair so holright, IM READY FOR A CHANGE (wtf did you feel deja vu). Lets start off with some random pictures of the prep day.I love this picture so much. We looked like bunch of happy aunties waiting for our hairdressers. But why am I so far away boooo :0Pekaboo sis Liana. Eh wait a minute. Zoomed to porcupine. Haha do you remember those days when all the boys at school had spikey hair and the annoyed annoying teacher would tell them with that kind of hair if lizard fell on it, it will die hohoh.Jay welcoming the Japanese hairstylists with a peace sign. Jay before getting pimped.Sis Liana before getting pimped.Hanis Zalikha before getting pimped and her OMG MTV PIMP MY RIDE HOST IS AT MY DOORSTEP look.Back to being a brunette yawn.Sis Liana after being pimped. WHY ARE YOU SO PRETTY IS THIS FAIR WHO DO I TALK TO???Moving on.Day 2. Sitting: Tuck, Goto and Ken.On the second day, where all the girls had to be there at 8pm, I had other appointment and only made it at 12pm. But the hairstylists were so nice and all it made me feel like a diva deep down. I came and everybody said their greetings, and then I wanted to eat but they needed to do my hair, so I was allowed to eat while they were doing my hair, the Japanese hairstylist, Tuck, even fetch my food haha. The other girls who obviously came earlier were still waiting (for their hair and make up) while my hair was being done. The hairstylist, Tuck, was mumbling something in Japanese to the other guy, Goto. He pointed at my eyes and nose and the only thing I understand was the word 'kawai' and 'features'. Hihi kawai features :P So they decided to do this to my hair.No wonder they treated me so nicely (-_-")Jay couldnt stop fooling around with my hair and teasing me T_T.Jay and Einstein punya bini, acting smart.Einstein punya bini and Fiqa's head.Spot The Not.Jay with funky make up, Hanis with Americana (wha??) make up, and Fiqa with Masquerade make up. Feng Tau and her chinese boy sideburns.Fiqa pretending to be cool and Gene Simmons-like. Black metal go away. After the whole course ended, we changed back to our own clothes. Then Goto offered to wash my hair. I was the only one he offered :') So I said yes. During the hair wash, we chatted. He didnt speak very good English and that made us equal. Lol so comfortable like that. He told me he loves surfing and has a beach shop where people can hang at the bar by the beach or dine at the cafe omg so cool. So I told him I'll visit him one day, when I have the money. Okay now I know where to crash when I go to Japan. Yeay can save money.OhSoRandom: Me and Jay decided that my hair looked more like that octupus fella from Pirates Of The Caribbean. Haha what do you think? Abit like mop also got right? But I dont get it, why did they coloured my hair if I was going to end up wearing the mop? WHATEVER AS LONG AS THEY PAY ME AND GIVE HAIR TREATMENTS. Bye.
Polaroids Parade
I personally love the feel of this picture. Eventhough Baby Phat gave the BLOODYHELLLETMEGO stare. This is Hanis Zalikha walking with Zalikha. Another Zalikha :DShe photographs very very well. Envy her. This is Hanis Zalikha's sister, Liana Ezzana. Apparently, Hanis was the only one doing the jumping. So Liana looked extra short when actually she is TALLER.So thats about it. My polaroids parade photographed and edited by Bibo Aswan (the one did a shoot with Jay before). Im waiting for the CD of all my photos so I can share with you guys what an awesome duo we were. In the mean time, enjoy:ADAKEMAMAKATAMACAMARTISHONGKONG. Suka buat I perasan.
Self-centered moment
Things you dont necessarily need to know about me but might want to.1. My first name is Hanis. My second name is Zalikha. And my third name is bt. People usually would call me by my first name or half of my second name (haha Zali). Occasionally, there would be dingdongs people who accidentally call me Hasni. Sometimes even shouting it out loud like "HASNI HASNI YOU HAVENT COMPLETED THIS FORM" in public. Im not saying the name Hasni is ugly or funny or anything, I mean no offence to all the Hasni(s) out there, but I'd like to think Hanis Zalikha is the most beautiful name ever owned by the most beau haha. Bladihel. Hasni? Is that you?2. I am a big eater, complete with a reliable digestive system. (am I telling the world I shit everyday? haha. Tips: for those who dont have reliable digestive system can opt for bananas or dragonfruits, anything with fibres lah)3. By the age of 1 I can already talk. And I amazed the wife of my father's friend by showing emotions (crying) while watching Wizard of Oz at the age of 4. 4. Growing up, Ive always looked up to my dad. And when kids at school called me Honeystars, I would shout back " BAGITAU DADDY KITA!" ("I'LL TELL MY DADDY!")5. I like to create new games for me and my younger siblings to play just to kill time during fasting month, and one of it was a gameshow-like called 'Tropicana Adventure'. I was bad with creating names you see. So there are times when the name just popped up when we were already playing the game like Cikgu-cikgu, Masak-masak, Hospital-hospital or Jual-jual.Figure 1.1 Lets have another round! 6. I love dogs as much as I love cats (and you know how much I love cats right). I guess I just love cuddly pets (they are like moving soft toys wah)! We Muslims are allowed to own dogs and touch dogs provided that the dog is dry. But sadly, we cannot touch it if its wet or our hand is wet. Otherwise Im sure I would have one sitting next to me right now (And wake up in the morning to a more chaotic scrabbley keyboard hoh). Preferably Golden Retriever omg! Why are they so adorable? Like the whole eyes is black, no need pupil-enlarging lenses, and so innocent-looking sumore got chubby paws. WHY??! Lucky fellas. Omg look at the third one from left haha too cute too cute. WHY IS HE LIKE THAT?? I want one. Dammit. Imagine if he and Phillip fight for my laptop. Lol.7. I have a theory, 90% of the time, fat babies will grow up into a slim person and vice versa. Go get your baby pictures! 8. I used to set up this small kindergarden for my brother called 'Tadika Clever' (I need to come up with much more creative names next time) because our family had a major downfall in 2000, so sending my little brother, Khairi, to a kindergarden was nearly impossible. Thats when I taught him how to read and write, and a little bit of maths along the way. And when he entered Standard 1 (7 years old), he was one of the brightest kid in school, he made me proud :')9. At some point, I mistaken Tom Cruise for David Beckham. And now they are the best of friends. Does this mean I can predict the future hohoh?10. My favourite holiday destination is Bandung, Indonesia. I went there and I bought the Indonesian school uniform and wore it the next day to walk around town.11. I have single-eyelid and proud of it. Someone described me as 'The malay girl with chinese eyes' in one of her/his post and I couldnt stop smiling :D 12. I am a family-oriented person. 13. I love to keep myself occupied thats why I always find things to do like cleaning my Polly Pockets with cotton buds or imagining new creations like a TV set that can have range of chemicals to produce smell so that when you watch cooking shows yeah you know what I mean. This is interesting.14. Listening to JJ and Rudy without freshly cooked hash brown in hand is never complete :D15. I used to have a gold-coloured Tamagotchi (mine was pet dinosour omg), which my neighbour borrowed and left it outside (and then it rained omg). I MISS MY TAMAGOTCHI. I MISS FEEDING THE DINO AND PLAYING WITH IT AND WAITING FOR IT TO WAKE UP SO I CAN FEED SUMORE.16. My chinese neighbour (Uncle John) gave me a Barbie doll for my 4th birthday, and that's when I fell in love with BARBIES! I love chinese neighbours. My current one gave us Durians (like 4 biji to be exact) the other day and gosh it was so yummy :')17. I love babies! I love babysitting! And wow you can get money just by babysitting, the best job in the world or what?18. Airports are such a cool place!19. Why am I so hyper? (-_-")20. My favourite dessert is Gulap Jamun. 21. I remember drawing my teacher's face and putting bubble speech ("Why you never bring your book?") and passed it around the class after she scolded me. Then all my friends laughed and asked why am I so good in drawing T_T22. But the truth is I love all my teachers. I used to make surprise parties for them and collecting money to buy them gifts. Like collecting money and buying gold pendants for Mrs Too, my math teacher. And for Puan Suriati, a surprise birthday party with cakes and my mom's cooking sumore wah wah wah.23. I love organizing parties! Especially kids birthday parties since I have quite a number of younger sibs :) Then we would bake cupcakes and play limbo (dont you just love howlowcanyougodumdumhowlowcanyougodumdum).24. My ultimate favourite fruit in the world is mangosteen.25. Im having second thoughts on giving Baby Phat away. Why suddenly bonding with the mother like that??Sleeping position also always the same nowadays.
Free Baby Phat stuff
Attention: Okay I purposely put up that tittle to get international attention hohoh. No I dont have Baby Phat stuff to give away. AND NO I DONT EVEN OWN ANYTHING FROM THIS LUXURY BRAND HOHOH. I just have a kitten named after this brand. I know its lame (not the brand but having a cat named after it) but Im not responsible for this I swear. But anyway I have to give him (Baby Phat) away to make space for newborn kitties. So if youre interested please email me at haniszalikha@hotmail.com. Only interested in the cat can email. If the owner no need (wait, unless you got jobs for me ke apa :P). And dont ask me recipes. This is how Baby Phat look like. Its a good deal because.. because hes free? Oh and I'll pass it to you, meaning you get to see my face without eyeliner and blusher ngeh. This is Baby Phat. The one at the back, dont you even think about it.Hihihihi :DAs requested, my mom has set up a blog. I'd like to take this op to welcome her to the blogwagon. WELCOME MOMMY DEAREST! She writes in Bahasa but normally she'd give out recipes in English. She has so many recipes and life experiences to share with you people so do check her out. Her next recipe would be Tauhu Bakar (drooling like Patrick Star already). Have a nice day rockareaders!Click for my mommy's blog :)
Review on Air Con, the screenplay (KLPac)
Air Con.A school. A murder. A scandal. Air Con the way I see it.A brilliant play.Ive been watching ads on Astro about this play and I love the photos it featured. Bunch of schoolboys laughing with a very green scenery as background, totally eye-catching!I didnt manage to get the laughing picture though.About the play.Kakak Liana, Abang Hery and I got in 20minutes late so the characters introduction werent so clear but we manage to catch up due to its clever scene and plot arrangement. And thats why the first few minutes after we were seated comfortably we were already laughing our asses off with the tummy holding phase and all. Kalau orang melayu cakap, 'tak kering gusi'. For a second there I can feel what its like to be sitting among the live audiences, watching the cast of Friends doing their thing. Air Con is a coming of age play, exploring friendship, love, education, religion, race, homosexuality, society and identity. Tackling serious issues but presented in such way that we can really relate to. The play was set in a boys school where they have the softies (The Pondan clan) who were the victims as always, the macho guys (The Cool clan) and just like in movies, they are often the bullies, and then theres The Adult (teachers). The Pondan clan consists ofAsif (played by Ryan Lee) a witty racist mixed blood nerd who talks way too fast which makes him laughable,William (played by Nick Davis) an indecisive boy (cannot decide which guy in school to have a crush on) who often mistaken Asif or everyone else for that matter, as a Chinese hater, in a funny comedic way,Mimi (played by Firdaus Che Yahya) the boy of words and actions, very loud and physical and always very dirty minded, but nevertheless hilarious in every way even the way he dries his curly hair, and of course my favourite character among The Pondan clan, Mona (or Nazrul after being brainwashed in ceramah agama, played by Hazarul Hasnani) a one-liner who often has things to say but often the last one to say it, his voice was the softest among them which makes him the more interesting one.And then theres The Cool clan which consists ofBurn (played by Zahril Adzim, whose look reminds me so much of Ariel from Indonesian band, Peterpan), the golden boy of the school who is always so logical in his moves thus giving the unexpected ending, who shared a pure friendship withChep (played by Amerul Affendi, brilliant actor, watch out for this dude), the guy with all the negative vibes but deep down inside, craving for love and attention, and often misuse his power (he reminds me of someone at school whom we can never tell on because he is the Head of PIBG's son or the apple in the eyes of typical teachers). It was obvious that each character was created based on either experience or detailed study. Because I can really relate to most characters (I used to have this gay friend from La Salle gosh he's hilarious and forever calling me Leng Lui haha), like the teachers for example.Cikgu Hensem (played by Ismadi Wakiri) was this strict teacher, someone we see as reliable and caring, the one we would go to, to seek help and to tell on others (eg. Hanis: Omg cikgu hari tuh saya nampak dia merokok kat pusat bowling), someone whom we thought would show much concern over our endless problems. Oh how naive of us the school children. Little that we know, being strict is only a part of their job and how they actually couldnt care less about our problem. When issued a problem not related to them, they would often give advice which start with these words " Sometimes in life..." and crap about their own experience and sometimes gets out of the topic without even realizing it. And in the end, nothing is solved, and the poor child wil go back home, confused. *Based on true story*.Ustaz (played by Nam Ron) was more or less the same, only much more complicated as he is selfish when he only sees things in general and does things only to his advantage such as forcing Cikgu Hensem to include numerous amount of ceramah agama (in hope that somehow this can solve everything) in Pondan Camp's schedule.Hanis Zalikha's experience.*true story*When I was in form 1 (13 years old), I went to this school (all my life, Ive only been to co-ed school) and I met boy B. I purposely nicknamed him boy B since Ba-B would sound too harsh. So anyway, you know how there are boys who thinks that its cute to tease girls and its okay to tickle girls or to touch girl's cheeks and apparently there are girls who are dumb enough to actually feel sexy when such acts are being done to them (cheap girls). As for me, I was never any of them. So when boy B had a crush on me, he kept teasing me and all. And at some point my teacher even placed us next to each other. Everytime he touches my hand or my cheeks I would either shout or give him a very ugly reaction so that he wouldnt repeat his dumb flirting tactics. But failing that, I decided to tell on him. So one day, when my teacher was conducting this come-to-my-desk-and-tell-me-your-marks session, I saw my chance.Teacher: Hanis Zalikha!Hanis: *Walk little but fast steps, with Geography paper in hands*Teacher: Your mark please?Hanis: 82%. Mmmm. Teacher, can I tell you something?Teacher: Yes what is it? *scribble scribble*Hanis: Its about boy B.Teacher: Yes? (pretending to care so I wont see her as lousy)Hanis: He is always touching me.Teacher: Where? (quiet concern there for awhile)Hanis: My hands.Teacher: *scribble2 student's marks* Okay done.Hanis: ..... *hello?*Teacher: Oh! *remembers back the cry for help* Ala he's just playing around.Hanis: But I dont like it.Teacher: Alright. *pause* *scribble scribble* You can go back to your sit.The topic ended just like that. There and then. By the way she ended that conversation, a naive schoolgirl like me would think she will do something about it, but woohoo was I wrong. Serious shit right? All my guts wasted down the school drain. I know youre only teaching us for money, dont let it show so much lah. Sigh.Back to Air Con, the dead tranny prostitute, Aishwarya (played by Dara Othman) can be seen during flashbacks, and she/he is a funny woman/man her/himself. In fact each member of the cast is funny in their own way, even Ah Kok (played by hew Kinwah) the air cond repair apek. If the main actor is not determined by the amount of scenes he has or the issue he tackles, all of them would be the star. All of them did gave their best performance, and it shows. The settingsThe stage set up and the sound effects were brilliant as they were very effective in playing around with my mood. Eventhough the main stage set up only consist of some plain long white windows, I could really feel that they were in this old building of boys school, probably somewhere in KL (I later found out, it was actually Kedah). This was of course aided by the amazing lighting effect that worked very well in indicating the time and the mood of the scene. For example, eventhough they were surrounded by long white windows, the sound and light effects made me feel as if I was at the corner of the school field, watching two boys (which whom one of them I might have a crush on), in the evening, during hockey practice as 'Chep and Burn in Hockey Field' scenes were being played. The endingThe ending of the play was unexpectedly awesome. The play ended with another tragic death. The end of a pure friendship. It also ended with the start of a new gay relationship. And I somehow feel that the whole scandal will start all over again involving the new gay couple. Awesome ending ey? (I wont tell who killed who, who's dating who, but if I were to ask you to go and watch it yourself also, no use, they've already wrapped everything up.)BUTNobody told me that Air Con was an X-rated play. The excessive usage of dirty words (which made it a one hell of a hilarious play) was still bearable. Okay fine it was enjoyable but the duration of extremely physical scenes like tranny prostitute and schoolboy scene, schoolboy and schoolboy scene, (both scenes were on for more than 20seconds) was too lengthy for my liking. Apart from that, everything else was *showing two thumbs up*.During dinner at Mak Jah Kopitiam, Abang Hery revealed that he already feel guilty for looking down and making fun of softies (lelaki lembut) during his school days. Wow so fast already learned some lessons. Brilliant play! There are things in life that you shouldnt take too seriously.Chill. Dont harm yourself.
Cheese Caramel Walnut Brownies
2nd of July 2008, Wednesday. No this is not Cheese Caramel Walnut Brownies. This is actually a homemade Strawberry Snow Butter Cake, my mom made for Aunty Nana's birthday!Which was held at Red Box recently yeay!Perasmian~Haha.Thursday, 3 July 2008 Imran, supermom, blur face Hanis Zalikha and superdad at our garden dinner last night. I love photoshoots! And I just did another one for Edwin spread in Remaja mag. Who wears Edwin jeans nowadays, you may ask? Only the cool people who makes anything look cool. Bahah shut up me. As usual, fashion shoots are done in the morning. So I went there sepetly (single eyelidly), only to meet up with another sepet, Rachel! Haha. But she' the gorgeous kind of sepet, mind you. I know I know, why do they always pair me up with another girl who is way older prettier??! I hate my job sometimes. Rachel and I both had two casual outfits to carry. I dont know about her but I had so much fun playing pretend. We were pretending to be the best of friends and it was so hillarious we laughed all the way. The photographer saw so much chemistry between us, that after the photoshoot ended she told us, NO WAIT LETS DO WHAT HANIS REQUESTED, JUMPING POSES! Hooray us!Waiting for Rachel to finish her make up and hair. Yes please stare at my very 80's bangs. The cool people. This is the only decent picture I have with Rachel. The rest are all like crazy Chinese ghosts. After the shoot, we said goodbye to each other and she told me that she also had fun working with me (oh I thought all the way I perasan sorang2, haha thank God). AND OMG DID YOU NOTICE MY RED DYE HAS FADED AND WHATS LEFT NOW IS THE BROWN COLOUR ??! Excuse my bangs. Have a nice day people. No wait.Guess what supermom made for us last night? 1.The first layer, baked chocolate batter.2. The second layer, cheese and caramel (caramel made from condensed milk). 3. Second layer was then covered with more fresh chocolate batter.4. Mixture was baked for another 20minutes.5. Baked Cheese Caramel Walnut Brownies served with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup.6. Freshly plucked mint leaves from my garden and slices of lemon were used as decorations.Ha now I can say HAVE A NICE DAY PEOPLE.
Urbanscapes 2008
Let me start off with my visit to the Wella saloon. What I had in mind was changing my hair colour from the hideous villain streaks (think Cruella), to something more chic like ash brown with golden highlights. So I pun semangat brought along my Bazaar mag which has Petra Nemcova in it, with her gorgeous ash brown hair. I pointed at the picture and said "I want this colour I dont care I said I want", and he replied "Cannot". After 2minutes of their Cantonese conversation, they decided to please my young heart and told me they can do it, but it wont turn out exactly the same colour. They told me they will lighten my already brown hair. Hearing that, I said LETS DO IT.So I slept. Most of the time. And when I woke up, BAH! BAH! BAH!I only went bah! bah! bah! in my heart though, because they were trying too hard to explain everything and I couldnt take it anymore so I just kept quiet. You want to know what they did to my hair? They turned it into the same colour as my couch. Moving on.Saturday, 28th of June 2008.It didnt occur to me that I would go and have fun there at Urbanscapes when I was reading the flyer weeks ago. But when Joyce called me up to help her pick lucky draws at Tongue in Chic booth, I couldnt say no since she's like a precious fairy to me. And wow Im glad I didnt (say no).Urbanscapes, this is one yearly event that you should never miss. It was indeed a shopping paradise and one hell of a music festival. Shopping and music, you have got to love one if not both right? And to enjoy what you love doing in such a beautiful place, it was held in KL Pac, this old abandoned railway station which was refurbished into a gorgeous performing arts center in the middle of this huge beautiful garden, it couldnt be better. If you have no idea where this place is, (like me, I called up Joyce like 6-7 times on my way there), it is actually located in Sentul West, yes Sentul has East part and West part. Wha? Exactly.HANISZALIKHA LOVES GREENERY.AND HANISZALIKHA LOVES CHEAP DRESSES.Anyway, I went there with my mommy, my sister, and my aunt (hello my name is Family bt. Oriented), and it was already 5pm but I can see a lot of people still coming in, since the event started at 12pm and went on until 12am. 12 hours of serious good fun! If you missed out on this year's Urbanscapes and planning to go to one next year, I suggest you bring good company, like what I did, and make sure youre free for the whole 12hours. Dont make any other plans because you really would want to spend your day and night there. What the hell Ubranscapes spokesperson ke apa ini. Haha and dont forget to dress nicely as everybody there are like so stylish and hip, and YOU WILL BUMP INTO SOMEONE YOU KNOW or in my case, people who knows me and wanting to take picture with me to make my day. Kehkehkeh. I love this feeling.Aunty Nana and I.Aunty Nana, supermom, and Liana my sister. I purposely put up this picture to show my photography skill of making a picture look crowded.Kakak Liana got excited seeing this humble board. And got supermom to join in the fun.Are we soulmates or are we soulmates? Haha kuat berkepit. For my help (of what again? picking up lucky draws?), Joyce handed to me two passes into the music festival and RM100 Tres Chic shopping voucher. I told you shes a fairy.Today's guest appearance by:Phillip the cyber cat.
Cyber cat
Hello world.Ahhh and yes you, the sun. Lol.(Semangat indicating how ready I am to face the world.)Let me tell you a story about the two things I woke up to this morning.Thing 1:I woke up to a typing sound. And to my bloody surprise I saw my cat in front of my laptop, typing away. By typing away, I really mean typing away. This is not funny Phillip.Lol can play Scrabble already.Blogging Playing Scrabble can be tiring .So yes, now you know how our beloved pets will always follow what we do. Thats why they say smoking is bad for pets. Haha okay takde kene mengena. But Ive heard a lot about dogs turning to look like their owners though. Or is it the owner that will eventually look like their dog some day? No wonder I see a lot of bitch faces nowadays.Thing 2:This, in my mailbox.I was wondering am I turning 18 today? Eh belum. Then why lah?OHHHH.. MY BESTFRIEND IS SIMPLY APPRECIATING A FABULOUS FRIEND LIKE ME. And with that, came an invite to Beauty and The Beast The Musical. Okay I lied about Malaysia going towards Vision 2020.
Hairstyle that makes you look younger
Im here to announce that Ive gained 2kg. *Woh stand up ovation*. And my cheeks are chubbier than ever. Haha kesian. So right now I look really young like really really young. And plusI GOT A FREAKING NEW HAIRSTYLE.IM A KID AGAIN! Dammit.Who would have thought, my hairstylist would do this to my hair. No seriously. Fringes like that only suits people with big forehead like Tyra Banks ke.. Rihanna ke.. Sengaja tau my hairstylist nak samakan I dengan mereka. Haha. But instead, I look like the chubby version of sepet Hannah Montana. Sigh never mind. It'll grow back (right.. lagi dua tiga tahun). At first when they highlighted my hair, I thought woof woof sexy lady then when they cut my fringe short, I was like byebye sex appeal. Haha.Woof woof? No?Shut up you.Us on our way to work. Ceh pergi kerja sama-sama.Me still with rollers on wearing my shades (edited: natural curls enhanced by rollers, as stylist preferred). Im not ready to face the world yet. That explains the very blur first pic. I will change my hair colour this Friday. Any suggestions? NOBODY TELLS ME TO STAY FOOLISH WITH THE CENTER HIGHLIGHTED FRINGE. Thank you.OhSoRandom: Bladi fringe, my forehead sweats alot now (-_-")
Giggle and pose
Hello people. Another fashion spread coming your way! This time I get to be a giggly teenage person, unlike always. Plus, the wardrobe is so Hanis Zalikha! Cool. Haha. I wore brands like Forever 21, Roxy, Polo and few more which I didnt notice. I got a guy make up artist and he's like so artsy and talented. But too bad that my face will still look old whenever I have tonnes of make up on. Kasihan my pores. And this is the first time ever I brought Alisya along so she gets to see the whole process. Actually I was in the car already when Alisya ran out crying, wanting to follow TAK SEDAR DIRI BELUM MANDI. Being a good sister that I am, I said hop in!Haha okay I actually skipped the part where I told my mom "MA CEPAT JALAN MA!" ("MOTHER FASTER WALK DRIVE MOTHER!") Lol. Wtf the translation. During make up BAHAH sorry if I scare you :B Perempuan tua glamour dan si belum mandi. Edited kao kao. Yo yo yo.Holright thats all I have for you guys. I'll tell you when the mag comes out. And this is me trying to act cool getting out of the car, not knowing that I still have my ponytails on. Lol damn perasan. Pewit pewit. OhSoRandom:ThankyouRobbfortheinvite! How to go green without spending green
Ive been busy with a lot of things lately but here I am, still wanting to let you in on whats happening with my life. Its annoying how the people from Celebrity Fitness kept calling me to arrange fitness sessions since I got a free membership for 3months. But I'd rather spend my free time gardening with my mom in her garden. I mean seriously, cutting the grass with the big garden scissors not only toned my shoulders (a little bit), it also helps to keep my mom's garden neat and tidy. Check out where I spent my time sweating and bonding. Woohoo! We are so proud of our garden because we started from a scratch. It used to be a lifeless piece of land filled with rocks and bits of cement but then my mom and dad started buying pieces of carpet grass and and they taught us how to plant grass piece by piece. Then came the idea of having a pathway to enhance the greenery and thats when my mom started mixing sand and cement and letting us kids shaped it up. We even drew flowers and snails on it. We really saved a lot of money by doing everything by ourselves, not only that, we are fully satisfied with what we have created and achieved. I heard my neighbour spent over 20k for just a simple garden and yet he's still not completely satisfied. Ala kesian. Wahah! Apart from that, we can also get fruits and herbs from our garden such as curry leaves, ulam raja leaves, Ambra, turmeric, galangal, mint, chilies, longan, jambu air, and lemon grass and got loads more but too lazy to remember back the names. Hohoh. Having a nice garden surrounding the house, our living room which has large windows and glass doors get to have natural light and fresh air to overwhelm the entire space. I get to SIT COZILY in my living room which overlook our garden as I blog this. Please envy me. Kehkehkeh. And oh I believe that not just human but pets love beautiful gardens. Aha! Why you too should have a nice garden of of your own? What more could you ask for when youre greeted by lush greenery after a long and exhausting day at work? Everyone needs their own private retreat, so start a garden now no matter how small your land is. Hanis Zalikha went green and is still going green. Lets GO GREEN people and save our planet.OhSoRandom: Okay by now you people would know already that I did my banner with Paint (again).

My very first bridal photoshoot
for a local bridal magazine. Yesterday I went for my very first bridal photoshoot, accompanied by my mom, as always, in Puchong. At first I thought it was an outdoor shoot, but when we got there, we were directed to this classy boutique and it was even better! Gorgeous boutique and (oops) another very bloody gorgeous female model to be shot with me fjhusdhkxjodf. Haha how unfortunate. Dah lah all alone by myself also very tough to get good shot, to be placed next to this beautiful God creation, disastrous! She was the senior/veteran model and I was the BAJET FRESH FACE.The whole shoot only took 2hours. Thats pretty fast considering I had 4 outfits to carry. So Im guessing there'll be no good shots for me. And that is why Im not revealing which magazine I will be featured in. Wahah! You'll see me when you see me. Blublublub :PThe gorgeous bridal boutiqueThe very bloody gorgeous female models :From left:The uglier model with the uglier piece, the very bloody gorgeous veteran model with very bloody gorgeous piece. Amateur model looking on with envy stare. We were about the same height but I was leaning against the chest drawer. Trying very hard to justify myself. I had refused to include this picture at first but my mom said no, look at your shoulders honey :)Sorry you had to read all this. Im just insecure. Haha.Moving on, Malay bride in the making. The make up.The hairdo. The result.Ive also included extra pictures (lol like bumper issue only) for you. They went out together for two-three days straight. I'm a proud cupid :')
