With a history dating back to 1930, the FIFA World Cup has become a shining example of how a sporting event can become an inspiration for millions of people globally. Celebrating the heritage of this year’s South African event, the first ever on African soil, adidas presents a truly unique series of packs that will appeal to football fans, adidas enthusiasts, collectors and Germany adidas Originals World Cup 2010 Tee A tribute to the West Germany adidas 1990 Home Kit, this shirt seems to be moving quite fast, with limited quantities and sizes at sports retailers round the island. This is the West Germany adidas 1990 Home Kit. adidas Originals have also released a track top which IMHO is looking mighty fine, but the price at the moment for it is not very attractive. 1:6 Hot Toys Alien Big Chap I didn't bother to read too much about the background of this figure. It's supposed to be a concept or rather Hot Toys' interpretation of HR Giger's creation. I scored it cos I felt I needed at least one Hot Toys Alien figure in my collection. So I settled on this fellow. I have read numerous complaints about about previous Hot Toys Alien figures in terms of the rubber parts on its body Star Wars Hasbro Legacy Collection Jedi Luke Skywalker Scored this from Hasbro's 2 figures for S$25 promo. I'm impressed to see how far Star Wars have come with their articulation. Since picking up 2002's GIJoe's 3 3/4 figures, I've been wondering why Hasbro couldn't translate it to all their toy lines. I'm glad that they finally came round to it in recent years, as evidenced in their Star Wars and Marvel lines. This is all the figure comes 1:6 Shaft Music Video Always wanted to feature my kitbashed 1:6 John Shaft in his own clip. Finally got round to pulling it off. If Hot Toys give Nick Fury a removable eye patch, I can use the head for John Shaft instead. Gundam Robot Spirits Unicorn Gundam (Unicorn and Destroy Mode) Not so much a review of the figures, but how they look on a white gundam stand which apparently fits 1/144 and 1/100 Gundam. Here they are with their 1/144 counterparts. I am currently on Gundam Unicorn overdose, hope to get some proper pix of these fun figures when the fanboy craze wears off. Gundam 1/144 HG Unicorn Gundam (Destroy Mode) This took longer than expected as I thought I could complete it in the same weekend as Unicorn mode. I was slightly surprised that HGs these days have so many parts, and even my 80+ crocodile clips mounted on skewers weren't sufficient to clear all the parts at one go. Again, a simple spray paint job which involved applying yellow, dark blue, grey and gunmetal, and finished off with a Gundam 1/144 HG Unicorn Gundam (Unicorn Mode) Simple job of spraying grey, dark blue, gunmetal and finished off with a matte coat. No panel lining. Here it is mounted on the Gundam 1/48 Unicorn Head (Destroy Mode) display base. Took about 12 hours to complete the kit alone, over one weekend. Liverpool FC 95/96 adidas Home Kit 1:6 Hot Toys Terminator 2 Judgement Day T-800 1:6 Hot Toys T-800 Endoskeleton was the figure that kicked off my interest in Hot Toys figures. Since scoring it in 2007, I've been waiting for the companion piece, T-800 Arnold to take it's place alongside what is widely regarded as an engineering marvel. Finally T-800 Arnie has arrived. And it is fitting to start off this review with Arnie stark naked, just as how he made his entrance Gundam 1/48 Unicorn Head Unicorn Mode for HG 1/144 Unicorn Gundam A much easier job compared to the 1/48 Destroy Mode Unicorn Mode Head. I sprayed paint on the inner horns (yellow), the collar area (grey) and the vulcans (silver) and laid on a matte coat and that was about it for this piece. NERF event @ Metro Sengkang Plugging this cos fun events always happens at Metro Sengkang. Little Plastic Man's Awesome Display Area Very nicely done, Adrian! Can't wait to see the shelves filled up! Gundam 1/48 Unicorn Head Base Destroy Mode for 1/144 HG Gundam Unicorn As promised, here's the 1/48 Unicorn Head Base in Destroy Mode. I cut short the time needed to work on this piece by eliminating one step of the initial process I wanted to use. I originally wanted to spray the eye area black, then paint over with enamel silver and finally with acrylic green. However, I skipped the spraying of the black, and used Gundam markers to colour the black area in. Liverpool FC 95/96 adidas Away Kit Liverpool FC 96/98 Reebok Home Kit Gundam 1/48 Unicorn Head Base Found time to work on the 1/48 Unicorn Gundam Head base which I mentioned in my HG 1/44 Gundam Unicorn post. The parts that make up the base comes cast in white and clear pink. You can see how the base looks unpainted in Leon's review of this set. I prefer adding in colour that makes it more accurate, and that means more hassle, especially when parts are cast in a single colour, namely, the Gundam HG 1/144 Unicorn Gundam Destroy & Unicorn Mode in Shelf Scored these two kits during Metro Sengkang's Gundam promotion last weekend to show my support for my neighbourhood toy store. I'm not finished with them yet, but I was fiddling around with them to see how my Gundam shelf could fit them. Again the post has to cope with poor camera phone pix. I will get some proper pix when I'm completed with them. I've sprayed the weapons gunmetal with gloss 1:6 Edward from Twilight Specially posted for Roy who got all excited when I told him I purchased a 1:6 Edward figure. For the record, I was referring to this figure. Liverpool FC 96/97 Reebok Away Kit RX-78 Softbank Mobile Phone with RX-78 1/100 Model Kit Via Ngee Khiong Quite a cool novelty item to own, and it comes with a special edition RX-78 1/100 model kit with can be mounted on the phone charger base. The RX-78 model kit has 'metal in frame' according to Ngee Khiong and I've no idea how that will work out. IIRC, certain MG kits utilises screws. Now if only Bandai can confirm that 1/35 RX-78 for mass release. Please bring the Iron Man CollARTible Expo to Singapore & Malaysia, Hot Toys Cos your fans here would love to marvel at awesome sculptures like these up close and personal. Pix from Taiwan event, via lukazou Fellow SG & MY collectors, if you care enough for this, make your statement here. Toy Carnival @ L2P 2010 More info Liverpool FC 97/98 Reebok Away Kit Hasbro Iron Man 2 6 Inch War Machine Possibly the most sought after figure at the time of posting, this figure has a great articulation range and a surprisingly decent paint job when compared to it's counterparts in the same series. Liverpool FC 98/00 Reebok Home Kit Hasbro Iron Man 2 6 Inch Mark V Quite a cool armour design IMHO and it's appearance in the Monaco Grand Prix scene was one of the fun highlights of the movie. Again, this figure suffers from poor paint application, notably on the stray bit of red paint on the chest area, which honestly just ruined the figure for me. Can't ask much for mass market figures I guess. Liverpool FC 98/99 Reebok Away Kit 1:6 Hot Toys Iron Man Tony Stark Mech Test Version, Mark I, Mark II and battle-damaged Mark III Group pix of Hot Toys Tony Stark Mech Test version with Mark I, Mark II and battle-damaged Mark III. Excellent RDJ sculpt this time round... ...beats this one hands down. Here's what came before. Hot Toys Iron Man Mark I Hot Toys Iron Man Mark II Hot Toys Iron Man Mark III Hot Toys Men's Suit
