HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM!~!~!~!~!Today is mum's Birthday but we celebrated yesterday. Normally we would go for dinner but this time round, we had lunch at AMK Hub "Dian Xiao Er". They are famous for their roasted herbal duck. The first time I ate it was with Huiwen and Deb, I nearly melted when I put the duck skin into my mouth. It tasted damn good!So decided to bring mum there for lunch.After lunch, 3 of my Ah yi were supposed to give mum a surprise by bringing a cake to our place, but my Dajie brought her to do pedicure first. Nvm. So 3 of them reached our place first, WHO KNOWS, my dad went to call my mum and told her that her sisters were at our place!!! Kris got the tickets from a fellow blogger, who gaveout free tickets on behalf of Blog Aloud. Basically, they hope that the bloggers can write about the show. I remember watching 'Money No Enough 1' and I find it quite funny, but not a hardcore fan I must say, and I would not spend the money to watch a local production unless it’s REALLY interesting or it’s FREE! This is due to me “Money no enough” so cannot anyhow spend. Haha. Anyway, the starting of the show was quite lame, showing people tearing down the ERP gantry and throwing it into the river and all. It’s all CG effect and I feel that Singapore has improved in it. So much better than China but if you want to compare with Hollywood, “No horse run” wahahahaaha…meaning no horse willing to run LOL NO LAH! I don’t know how to explain…means…Boh Beh Zhao lor! WAHAHAHAHA…. Ok ok, enough of the horses, back to review. I find the storyline is very realistic, typical Singaporean life. I didn’t expect the story to be like this, and didn’t expect myself to cry. EVEN KRIS CRY LOR! Basically it’s the story of 3 brothers and their mother. I admire the mother lar! Her acting skill is power lor I tell you!! And heard from my colleague she is 86 or 87 this year! My god, really best lah! And hor! She is the woman from the Malaysia UIC advertisement! No wonder I find her so familiar, but she aged damn a lot. I think Jack Neo has succeeded in touching our hearts regarding filial piety. After the show, he appeared out of nowhere and starting talking about the production, telling us his motive for filming this movie etc. Good la, next time if there’s more such event I must go, cause get to see the casts and director! Hopefully is Christopher lee, then I can ask him whether he still remember the little girl who served him the piping hot “Xia Mian” (prawn noodle) from Whampoa market!! So after work, I smsed him that I'm on my way home. He told me he was still in the office but asked me to give him a call when I'm home. I sensed something fishy but still go ahead with his plan.When I reached home, enter my room, I saw that my computer was on, so I asked my mum,Me:" Eh, mum, why is my computer on?"Mum:" Kris is here mah!"WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA........I Knew it!So I called him, he asked me to look inside my laundry bag which I found a cable inside, next, he asked me to look for a laptop, so I found it under my blanket, he asked me to plug the cable to the laptop and on it.There was a slideshow for me! So, Kris and I went to Shokudo for dinner yesterday night instead.Heard much about the food there from Cindy, so I wanted to try it out myself.We went to the one at CityLink, Shokudo Pasta and Pizza.Kris and I shared the cabbage with bacon miso base soup.It taste so good that both of us cant stop scooping it until we finished the last drop!Next is my sliced beef and cabbage spaghetti in tomato cream sauce. SUCKS!The taste is blardy wierd! Not much taste in it. So dissapointed.Then came Kris Pork Katsu curry don. I was saying his order is boring because that is so common but turn out his curry tasted so goooood! And also the chicken was juicy and crunchy at the same time!We also ordered the shishamo with spicy roe, I love the texture of the fish!Last but not least, dessert of the day would be some green tea/red bean ice-kachang.Not bad but a bit too sweet for me.I didn't manage to finish my spagh because it tastes really horrible! A Chio WatchSunday, I brought mum and dad to AMK Hub for breakfast, and brought mine and dad's watches for batteries renewal.So, while waiting, mum saw the very big 70% discount signboard.Mum:"wah! 70% leh! $100 item cost $30 only, worth it hor?"Me: "yalo!" *while looking at all the watches on display*after awhile....................Me: "eh ma, look at that watch, nice hor?"Mum: " hmmm..."I have NO intention to buy a watch at all coz to me, 1 watch is enough to last me for a few years. I've never buy my own watch, it's always a birthday gift from my friends. ButterFactory Girls' NightOut!Last Friday, Jo, reena and myself went to Butterfactory as we have not been clubbing very frequently. We decided leave the guys out as they are very troublesome! Always asking "who's going? what time? see how la.....BOOOOO!!! Like aunty lor! hahaha...so much easier just the 3 of us!Ree took a cab to my place ard 1015 and off we go! Met jo there as she has some birthday dinner with her friends earlier on.Oh! Do you know it's free entry if you reach before 11pm with your namecard? And stupid reena forgot to remind me!!!! So I have to pay $21 for the entry but luckily there's 2 drinks included.First round, 2 mug of beer.Second round, 11pm - 12am one for one, so we ordered 1 dozen of sex on the beach for only $31!!! SHIOK! Cooking for the nuttzAs you guys know, I love cooking! So once in a while, I will invite friends over for a mini gathering. Last Saturday of May, I invited the nuttz over.Nothing to wow about but it was my first attempt in this sweet and sour prawns,Ingredients:1/2 kg prawns1 piece pineapple (cube it!)1/2 a cucumber (cube it!)1 big red onion (sliced it!)and.......instant sweet and sour sauce!!!!!! LOLSo not pro hor? Okok, next time I will try to make my own sauce. This time play cheat abit.Anyway, I love the prawns and the pineapple, very sweet!And I fried rice with char siew and dried shrimps and CC soup. (Corn and Carrot)I'm addicted to Chinese food now. Trying to learn more dishes. All the while, since sec sch, I love cooking pasta and all, very westernize, now more cheena. That's the real cook!!! Not easy ok?? Western food beri easy lor, just boil the pasta, heat the sauce, TADAH! Huiwen aka Phua saiHuiwen used to be quite big size, not fat but big bone. She is considered one of the tallest girl in class and she always attract upper sec guy's attention. Basically, she is a super NUA girl, lazy and is ALWAYS LATE!Over the years, she changed to become a CHIOBU, become DAMN feminine and without any explanation, attracts more bees and flies and mosquitoes. She was once a JAL stewardess after graduating from NYP and now she just completed her degree in Brisbane. Oh not forgetting, a LABEL siao!2. Ruifang (me)No need to describe. Audrey aka ou gui Wah! This girl. Even more guai than the above. She is so soft spoken until I feel like smacking her face. Hello?? We were at coffeebean (our fav hangout place) after school, so she offered to help us order our drinks, can't rem who came out with this idea but she told audrey there was a new drink name Tea Pearly.So over the counter, audrey told the waiter she wants a Tea Pearly, the waiter was like "huh? Deborah aka thunderous This petite girl is a chilli padi. She is every guy's dream girl. Small and cute, whenever you see her, you will have the urge to protect her. Great figure, intelligent and pretty. Don't see her small small size, when she get very excited, her voice also xia si ren one lor. WAHAHAHAHA! And she is those who BU SHUANG you, she will show it on her face one. So better don't provoke her. She BITES! She is totally different from the rest of us. Why? Yummy~~Right after dinner, Kris said he wanted to bring me "Park tor", so I excitedly asked where were we going, he said to the Bottletree Park as we didn't go there for a very long time. That is our 4th dating place if I'm not wrong.But he said I've to drive him there. So in the end, I drove him there to Park tor. lolAfter 1 hour later, we decided to leave that place as we had finished our drinks and tidbits. Birthday celebration with KRISANDROKris asked my on wednesday what I feel like having on my birthday, I pondered for awhile before i settled for North Indian food. Always wanted to try but never get the chance, so he went to do all the research.Thursday after my work, he asked me whether I wanted to walk 1.2km or take the train. OF COZ TAKE TRAIN LA! hahaha my feet very painful lor! DAMN HIAO, wore the wrong heels again...so we took a stop to city hall and walked to Excelsior shopping centre. The restaurant's ambiance is good, they got this "i am in a palace" feeling, and i am even sure when i saw the menu, it said something like serving the king blah blah blah....and they have live band as well. Very traditional kind.We looked through the menu and i must say i nearly fainted coz there's way too many choices! hahaha...so we just anyhow anyhow choose lor....some coconut and herbs chicken, not spicy mutton with red gravy, fried chicken in special flour, califlowers and potato, butter naan and garlic naan.Their service is damn good lah! Cause i think one of the waiter saw kris having difficulty cutting the naan with his fork and spoon, so they served us knife right after that. Both kris and I like the butter naan better than the garlic one. Oh! it was my first time eating it!!! I always saw it from discovery travel and living but never get to try it. I like the taste! Not as bad as i thought, always thought that its plain and tasteless but im so wrong!Kris got me a handmade card as well! He was supposed to surprise me on 12midnight on wed but i keep bugging him to tell me where he hide the card, in the end i found it behind my curtain! heh heh...and he also sponsored my phone as well! Somewhere we never eat before.We ordered,1/2 a dozen of raw oysters1 plate of cheese sticks20 chicken wings (10 medium, 10 hot)1 set of fish n chips1 curly cheese friesBeer (but this time it was rootbeer hahaha)4 of us finished everything! I was damn full and realised we still have tea or coffee and also 2 scoops of icecream! Damn jialat lar, left one drumlet and nobody wanna eat, so being not a "waste fooder", I suggested we play open numbers. Each person come out with a minimum of 1 finger to 5 fingers, add up the total and started counting from me. We'd got a total of 13, and suay enough, I was the one. I need to eat BREAKFAST MAH!!! Im someone who cant live without food rem? I tried to eat bread and oats every morning to save money and time but I get super hungry ard 10. Cannot lah....its very torturing...So I will reach my office ard 750 and pack food from the canteen. Normally is fried beehoon with egg/fishcake or fishball noodle. But hor, even if i eat beehoon, my stomach started growling ard 1030. Die. Im a pig, but at least i dun snack now. =pI just got my 1/2 month pay and I started spending it already. Im SO HAPPY when I see it, really love at first sight. Not many ppl like loafers, some may think it looks like ah ma shoes but i just love it! So comfy. I bought one from Bangkok last time but its cheap and of poor quality, therefore it wears off after wearing it for a few times. A brand new startAlright people, Monday was my first day of work. My first time stepping into the working society. I was feeling both excited and scared at first but lucky it is a small company with less than 20 people, so most of them are pretty friendly. =) First day=nothing to do cause most of them have their individual work scope so they had no time for me and the lady I'm taking over was on compassionate leave. Today I get a gists of what I'll be doing, mostly transactions, treasury, cash flow and stuffs, pretty much of what I've learn in school, a little complicating now but I'm sure i will get better soon as its quite standard.These 2 days were hell to me. My feet. I cant wear heels for goodness sake! yesterday after my work, went to shop for a slip in heel, no use at all! my 2nd last toes are all swollen and red now! And I have aches at my calfs and thighs I really dunno what i can wear to work.........SIAN-NESS...grrrrrrrrrr.....I still prefer my hei mee soh outfit! So relax lor! Slipper, shorts and tshirts............
