The end of blogger
This post marks the final words of this blog. No, this is not that silly "I am quitting blogging" trick that was circulated some time back. I meant to say... I am officially shifting to my new Wordpress blog from now onwards.
It has been frustrating tweaking the new theme for the new blog, because I am such a CSS-idiot. It is completely new to me and it doesn't help when most are speaking in
Starhub or StarBUG!
Alright, I need to rant this off my chest seriously. I have had enough of Starhub and Linksys!!! The reason why I named both is because they LOVE to PUSH the RESPONSIBILITY to one another whenever the connection is screwed!
Ever since the maintenance that early morning which affects the Northern connection, I am facing more frequent disconnections than ever before. When I say more frequent, the
Two South Korean hostages freed.
Two is better than none, don't you think so? When the fate of 21 hostages are in the hands of Talibans, to bring home two hostages alive is a big achievement. What is going to happen to the other 19 hostages? The world's message to the Talibans is clear. We do not want only 2 living hostages. We want ALL of them back... alive!
I was told by my Korean friend, there's a rising resentment towards
Reflections over home cooked food
My family is overseas for tour... and I love it. First, it's the peace that I get. I have the entire place to myself and I play my music pretty loud without people banging my room's door. Not that it is that loud, they just have something against the kind of music I listen to. Play anything to their liking, nothing's too loud even when I am sleeping. Now you know the other reason why I am in
Catching up on a public holiday
Even though I am not a keen follower of the National Day Parade, I must admit that this public holiday is darn good for catching up with friends.
One funny thing is, alot of people assumed I have no social life just because I hardly write any posts about my outings. Well, let's just say such outings are trivials which are oh-so-common. Who cares who I meet and hang out with anyway?
This
McDelivery... one that is worth commendation
We hear alot of complaints about lousy customer service in Singapore, but this is definitely one that is worth some commendation.
I called the McDelivery hotline at about 5.55am and placed my order for my beloved big breakfast. After all the yadaa-yadaa, I was informed the waiting time would be around 45mins. Well, hardly! I heard the doorbell went off at about 6.15am and standing at my
Green Cars in Singapore
It's quite interesting to see how the Green Wave is sweeping Singapore, with a good dose of promotion with regards to greener vehicles on our roads. Without a doubt, Singapore is losing out far behind other countries when it comes to such technology.
Can Singapore catch up?
Singapore has been preaching alot about CNG cars and today, we see quite a fair amount of CNG taxis zooming through our
The perils of a troubled mind
Been enduring the gastric pain for a short while, and finally decided to cook since the pill showed little effects. Maybe it's a better idea to have Indomie Mee Goreng. Quickly I got my pot of water and set my pot above the water. Got my last packet of noodles and carried on with the you-know-what... wait for water to boil, then place in the noodles, open the seasonings and poured it all in.
When I Said I Do...
It has been a hectic Monday so far. Straight after I was stripped of the two miserable stitches on my foot, I went home to put on my shoes and out I went.
Two friends are getting married, one in Singapore and one in Taiwan. I had to run through the venues with the Singapore couple today and see what I can come up with. I seemed more tired than the couple, both physically and emotionally. I admit
Adrenaline Rush & Vacuum Cleaner
Life after National Service, is probably the typical start of life for a typical male creature in Singapore. The moment we get decorated with green camouflage, the world is cut out almost instantaneously and whatever we have done prior to that doesn't seem to count anymore. As the day of ORD crept nearer, reality sets in and some began to wonder... what has life got for me from here?

The Good Old Times (Part 1)
Do you guys remember some (or all) of the silly things you used to do or experience as a kid? Sometimes, thinking back on this silly stuffs makes me laugh. Even as I type now, very quickly a few events flashed through my mind. I'm only at my first paragraph and I am already laughing myself silly before I even start.
Most Singaporeans spent a great deal of our childhood in school, so it's only
10 things about ET
Straight to the point...
Ten Things That Happened To ET
1. Tagged!
Even though ET is such a adorable friend to have, he constantly find himself victimised with tags. He ain't really keen on tagging, but the softer side of him often falls prey to evil friends. They know he would feel really really really bad if he doesn't return the favour. It seems that he has been targetted for the soft part
Ro Ro Ro Ronaldo!
Scream the name Ronaldo these days, football fans will automatically think of Christiano Ronaldo. Who cares about the Ronaldo of Brazil now? The spanish version of Ronaldo has struck an impression better than his aging counterpart, probably dancing the samba in his backyard now?
I am always amazed how Manchester United dish out youngster after youngster in replacement in this aging squad. Last
Pregnant Zoe Tay's contract suspended
Is Mediacorp acting in accordance to MOM's regulation and the Employment Act?
I am shocked to read news that Zoe Tay's contract has been suspended, and will only be re-instated after she returned to work. There were comparisons made between Huang Biren's older employment contract and Zoe Tay's newer contract. Please correct me if I am wrong, because to what I understand the employment
Taliban: Second South Korean confirmed dead
The dreaded news is flashed all over the world, and South Korea has confirmed it. The first victim was the leader of the humanitarian group leader Pastor Bae Hyung-Kyu, found with more than 10 bullet holes in his body. Now, 29-years-old Shim Sung-Min is also found dead by Afghanistan authorities. Shim is a former IT worker, volunteering himself in this aid mission to Afghanistan.
What in the
Would you pawn your marriage?
I don't usually read Mandarin newspapers but my dad left it conveniently on the sofa and splashed across the frontpage was a little article about MP Irene Ng for Tampines GRC. (Correct me if I got the wrong person) Well, she got hitched at 43 years old... finally. Anyway, this post is not about her individually but the content with which it was written in the papers that puzzled me a little. Is
I like this Judge... do you?
An Ohio judge known for handing out unusual sentences has ordered three men who pleaded guilty to soliciting sex to wear a chicken costume. Trust me, you will never ever see this in Singapore. I cracked up in laughter the moment I read this news.
Judge Micheal Cicconetti is not new to handing out hilarious punishments. In a world where people are not intimidated by heavy fines or lengthy jail
Are local taxi companies returning the favour?
I took a taxi home earlier on from my Sunday service, and I was feeling pretty comfortable in the new Hyundai taxi. I've seen them around more and more, even Chevrolet taxis. With the increase of these new taxis, I began to wonder if the savings (due to lower car prices compared to Toyota & Mercedes) through this bulk purchases are being shared with commuters?
Well, for those who are into cars,
Bollywood Films
I seemed to have inherited my late granny's habit of appreciating Hindi films. If you are falling off your chair now, don't worry. You are not my first friend who flipped over when I told them - yes, I do watch Hindi films. I'm going to introduce two Hindi films to you, and I am pretty sure you will be impressed after watching them.
It wasn't that obvious when granny passed away, but as I grew
Spooky (Fake) Revelations of SQ 006 Crash
With the easy access of internet all over the world now, it is easy for anyone to wind up a tale and make it seems so real. Afterall, stories relating to the supernatural are always intriguing. I do believe in the other world, but not blindly. Here's why...
1. Wrong timeline
Given a coincidence in dates, there's little to suggest the influence of the other world. The alleged steward was
Endoh's Yester-years
A picture speak a thousand words, but hey, I've got more than one picture. In a bid to keep soft copies of my old photographs, I'm gonna share some of these with you guys here. I am glad I had these photographs, but my only regret is that I didn't take good care of them and many have deteriorated so badly that they cannot be salvaged at all. Bummer me!
Well, all of these were taken in my
World War 3
Is there such a thing as "war-torn countries"? Or should we already be looking at a "war-torn earth"?
The South Korean hostage situation in Afganistan is well known, and widely covered by now. I'm not going into that, but something which made me wonder if this is the start of a potential World War 3 with brutal waves of suicide bombings and cold-blooded murders. So often, certain states are
What kind of friends do you have?
I am sure all of us have a circle of friends who shaped a part of our life, big or small. Sometimes, it gets so hard to choose the kind of friends we want to be with. Someone told me, why choose? Why not just go ahead with making friends? I don't know...
For a start, I do not conform to peer pressure easily. (I made that mistake with smoking...) We have seen how many of us trying to do something
Do you wanna grow old with me?
Each and every day, I kinda get in contact with people with relationship problems. It may not be a conversation, but something as simple as reading the thoughts others have penned down. It doesn't stops at that. It went as far as some articles and blogs of activists who would frequently defend their Rights and what they deserve. With modern technology, such propogandas (they call it their mission
This is what I call email scam!!!
I received this email just a few minutes after replying to my client in email. Not a strange thing by now, but I wonder why so many people still get scammed into such gimmicks. The things people will do to get easy money... sighz.

Appreciation... or a wish?
Estee's recent post reminded me alot of dead bodies I have seen in the past. I have picked up a fair deal of corpses and sent to the mortuary, of which some are beyond recognition physically. The body emits gases when decomposition takes place, and makes the body bloat. I will keep it as that for now. What I hope to talk about... is how much we have taken things for granted in our life.
I don't
I didn't know...
... my posting indeed turned up in Stomp. [Read]
This is the first time I wrote in to Stomp honestly, because I rarely read Stomp. When I mean rare, less than 10 times a year. If I never remembered wrongly, I signed up on the day of the second fire. All these while it never cross my mind why I should signed up there. I didn't know until my friend called and asked... "Ed, was that you who wrote
Personalised blog coming soon?
Yea, I told you guys I might shift over to Wordpress soon, right? Well, believe it or not I spent the entire night until now, browsing online furiously.
Basically, I ignored all the super cheap web-hosting packages. Why? Chances are, they are over-selling. I am not prepared to use a webhost who will go bust any time. It's going to be a headache in transferring my files, apart from the fact that
Moving on to wordpress?
I don't know if I should.
Blogger is giving me a ton of problems with frequent http errors and best of all... some of the pings can't be read. Ironically, it was working well all the time and my posts turn up in directories within 5 minutes. All these changes suddenly, from delayed posts to now - not showing up my posts at all. It was then I searched around and realised alot of blogspot users
What exactly is wrong with our MRT?
I happened to know from another blogger that Stomp had an article which depicts another train accident involving a person. I cannot confirm if it was an accident or was it an intended suicide, for now let's not jump into conclusion. Let's just say... "accident".
Well, I am not going to cut and paste the entire article here. I don't operate a publishing firm so let me share my experiences when
