I think gaming while commuting is fine as long as they balance up their gaming with reading later. Comment on No Time or No Interest? by HuiHuiakaTara Hi, I’m coming to visit ur blog! Well, as for me reading books is as good as replacing PSP, in Singapore nowadays kids and adults play this electronics device on train and buses which I think is not good thing at all as it shut off one’s mind from reality. Exp. like missing a stop or not giving up their seats to the most needed because they are gaming. But still there are some people reading books in train and buses. So I guess there is hope! =p Comment on No Time or No Interest? by Relax @CLF Hi CLF. Actually, I am refering to adults. Adults have no excuse of not touching books, unless they are illiterate. Hmmm… reading is not really Malaysians’ favourite activity. what a pity @Horizon Yes. eBook is still a book. The only difference: one is soft copy while the other is hard copy. I prefer books as I can cary them around. Comment on No Time or No Interest? by Horizon Does ebook consider a book? It’s better that you read from computer since you can search for the words that you don’t understand. Comment on No Time or No Interest? by CLF Hahah, prob is the reading habit in Malaysia is not good enough. Yea, those children may have started reading the books at early age, but those kind of books doesn’t really stimulate their interest in reading as they’re being forced by parents. if want the kids to take up reading habit, the parents must their a role model. this is what my parents did, they read, so i followed reading as well. a newspaper can be a good start, though nowadays more and more rubbish, craps and spams are filling it up. Comment on Should we tolerate homosexuality, transsexuality and adult incest? by Alilin sooooo……im going to blab cuz im tired so if u can understand and follow awsome if not…sry. k homosexuality. ill argue 2 points…its my body how r u going to come on me n tell me what i can and cannot do. im bi. for those wo just think its gross…good for u u dont have to engage in it n it leaves more fsh in the water for me ;P. for the godly peeps who say its a sin…good. most western faiths preach free will/agency/choice in one format or another. ive heard its wrong (thanks), n i think most of the rest of society has too, so can we start protesting something else. refer back to ur texts and see judge not lest ye be judged, or i {god} grant you the power of choice. some will argue “well god gave you free agency so that you could choose to follow his words back to his kingdom. well darn, guess god messed up there. if there is an entity of all imnipotence then it (she ;P) would have seen the development of mankind and must have been ok with it (or at least tolerant) cuz were not all crispy fried. now that ive ranted… tolerence… i tolerate brainwas….i mean uh religeon so why cant anything else be tolerated. it comes down to personal choice. now to the topic ive skirted. incest. i havent personally done a study on the effects incest has on the children so i cant atest to that but everything you do in this world tends to lead to one negative thing or another now adays (either cancer, std’s tomors, obesity, etc). hmm..if people develop a relationship that is healthy and beneficial for them i cant say judge that. socially its unacceptable but so are many other things. i think if its consentual and the individuals understand the possible risks to childbirth…go for it. its their bodies n their choice. u can point out what about the child but i can point out so many other cases in societies all over the world where “what about the child?” can be applied but its accepted n “tolerated” as the social norm. that can lead to so many other discussions but if the people love and care for each other THAT is an environment the child should be brought up in birth defects or not. Comment on Poverty, Slum and Homelessness by Rose Of course you are talking about poverty in general. I am taking a course about poverty, with most people thinking a person is poor because of social problems. But I think bigger, because I see a bigger picture. social inclusion and social cohesion I recently read an article that can demonstrate social inclusion and social cohesion. Of course years have passed since the fumigation of the crops in the region of Latin America and Colombia. Despite years of fumigation, with diseases in crops, and resulting diseases in this region of the world , the war between Washington and the Drug Cartels are good examples chaos of social cohesion and social inclusion regarding poverty, war, and how they both become a war on poverty, with both sides who have their reasons for the continued friction seen in the world. The crops have been fumigated by government money for years, and for many people, this is the stratisfication of poverty, in regards to social inclusion and social cohesion, causes the guerillas to fight Washington back supported fumigists who are trying to eradicate drug crops, while the guerillas maintain they are only trying to protect three markets which consist of the cattle drivers, the poor of course, and other markets, besides their argument they could depend on Brazil cattle drivers for food for the poor, the other side maintains, continued fumigation on their cattle and vegetation will cause more poverty. There are two good sides to the reasoning the guerillas feel this way fumigation and diseases resulting in diseases hard to treat and sterility. One of course the fumigation has been going on for years, besides sending government supported militias to cut down the crops by hand, Washington chooses to use fumigation, and most militias feel this is wrong because fumigation causes many serious health problems including many diseases that only Western medicines can cure. On the other hand Washington and the Guerillas use their weapons of words over the two meanings, and the guerilla side of the story is that war on poverty and drugs is a war on militias.
